Unfortunately, we are moving out of state, otherwise this would have been a long term commitment. The focus on respect, discipline, and teamwork is beyond compare. Amazed at the patience the team has and how beautifully everything is executed. We will miss them dearly and thank them for the confidence we see in our son since joining!“

204 Baltimore Pike, Springfield“I started one-on-one training in Muay Thai with Malik Kamara at Delco MMA & Fitness 2 months ago at the time of this post and I'm very pleased with my progress.
Malik possesses all the coaching qualities that amateurs and professionals alike need in order to achieve their goals. He is highly professional, yet personable, and brings many years of knowledge and experience, both as a fighter and a coach. When you train with him, you have confidence that you are guided by someone who stays current on MMA best practices and who trains with a progressive mindset, which ensures that you are always up to date on the latest and greatest techniques. Each training session is lean, with minimal downtime and with consistent introduction of new topics, yet there is enough flexibility to request additional time to focus on areas where you would like to practice/improve.
For me, training twice per week has led to rapid weight loss as well as giving me motivation to lead a more active lifestyle outside of MMA. The result has been a significant improvement in physical, and therefore metal, health that appears to be sustainable long term.
There is a reason why Delco MMA & Fitness is rated so highly; I would venture to say that it is the best MMA gym in the area. I'm thrilled to be a part of the community and I'm looking forward to continuing my MMA journey with Malik.
(Stop reading Google reviews and take the first step! You'll be glad you did.)“

2616 W Girard Ave, Philadelphia“My son has been training here for 3 years and it has been a wonderful journey. The staff instill confidence and a skill set that he practices across so many aspects of his life. The impact karate has had on his life is tangible, both physically and mentally. It has helped him deal with obstacle and hurdles in life and gives him an edge over most of his peers because of the inner strength he has discovered and developed.“

11 W Mt Airy Ave, Philadelphia“We enrolled our daughter at Action Karate Mt. Airy to help her have more confidence, learn self-discipline, and perseverance. It has been a little over a year now since she started and I cannot express how great of a decision we made picking this school. She has grown leaps and bounds physically, mentally and morally training with Sensei Dom and the other instructors. The staff has always been friendly and informative; showing they care and love what they do; efficiently working as a team to ensure everyone gets personal attention while achieving their goals. Honestly, if they had 10 stars, I would still want to put 11. Try this karate school and watch your child flourish!!!“

My teenager has been there for 3 years and he's a quiet kid but he loves sharing his new moves with me and his grandparents and it helps us engage with him at this age. It has built his confidence at school and walking around the city. Sensei is a great role model, professional and family focused. I highly recommend Karate Kickers with no question.“

2100 Chestnut St 2nd floor, Philadelphia“This journey, if you choose to take it, is a life changing one.For me, getting into the Intermediate class is when I really got the high of jiu-jitsu, becuase thats where essentially all sparring happens and you really start getting in touch with the art, the people, and the work. Really loved it but I got a concussion during a very intense standing spar (not very common in this sport). Being a grad student, this was really bad, but Phil and the team listened to what happened and helped me out.“

I’ve known sensei for almost 25 years and he is kind, the learning environment is friendly yet structured, he is very knowledgeable about martial arts and has an excellent teaching style. Taking classes at martial arts hero factory your kids aren’t learning how to fight! They are learning discipline, respect, self defense and kindness. Great school, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.“

I plan to continue with it til the day I die, and push my self to endless limits. Master Smith has saved my life in a way and has been a second father to my daughter (6 year student). 1980 Butler Pike, Conshohocken“We transferred to Action Karate Plymouth Meeting when we moved from out of state. They are a family run dojo and did an amazing job of acclimating our student and allowed him to utilize the belt level he was currently at to start.
We love that all of their katas are taught in practical terms of self defense. They also discuss value lessons weekly, where they go over characteristics of leadership, gratitude, goal setting, (we especially love that students are required to set goals so they can see progress). After a year here, our son is also now learning how to become a sensi (teach).
They also host some really fun parties: like water wars to celebrate the end of summer, glow in the dark board breaking, etc. They also have get-togethers for the adults. And they have summer camps and parents’ night outs. So everyone really gets a chance to get to know each other.
I cannot thank them enough for how they are helping our son to grow as a person and how welcome we always feel. They feel like part of our family.“

1760 Barbara St, Philadelphia“I started training with Philadelphia JiuJitsu this past summer and it has been a great experience so far. Damon is extremely knowledgeable with over 30 years experience and has a great passion for teaching. What is unique about Philadelphia JiuJitsu is that it is more than a jiujitsu school as it incorporates many different martial arts. There is judo, wrestling, aikido, knife and stick fighting, and practical self-defense techniques. So you can come to a class that focuses on what you are interested in. The price is fair, the instructors are knowledgeable and whole gym is welcoming so if you are looking into learning martial arts and self defense Philadelphia jiujitsu is worth a visit“

600 W Lancaster Ave, Bryn Mawr“My daughters started training with Master Kremin around five years ago. When they started, i used to bring my laptop to his school, and work there while they were training. i saw some parents training with their children and people my age moving gracefully, but my whole attention was focused on the laptop and work.
Then after a few months, my daughters asked me to join, as there was no reason why other parents were training with their kids and i was not. It made me laugh of course, and i told them that i'm the most inflexible person on earth, can barely reach my knees while standing, as clumsy as possible, in my 40s... yeah, right... me doing Tang Soo Do, sure.
But they kept asking, and after a few days my wife, wisely gave me the most significant advice i've ever received. She said that in five years, our daughters will turn 16, and at that point, there will no longer be a place for a dad in their life. But if the three of us will have something so special in common, we can still maintain the close relationship we have. So i started training as a white belt adult, on a daily basis.
We worked hard together, went together through tests, tournaments, physical and mental challenges, and became a little stronger physically and mentally every day.
Almost five years of daily training have passed, with the best teacher and mentor, our master, who gave us the opportunity to give ourselves a wonderful gift. A gift which combines physical health, mental health, support, being part of a community, and maintaining a strong girls<>dad bond even after the age of 16.
Thank you, Master Kremin.“
