“One of the best things I’ve ever done in the last 17 years of my life has been to visit Studio Blue twice a week. Keeps me young and flexible!“
“Small class size and personal attention with varied exercises from class to class. Focus on proper Pilates techniques is always stressed. ?“
“I love Portland Pilates Collective! I highly recommend it. Heidi Jane's is amazing and so patient.“
“I love Begin, especially Emily and Kacie’s class. It’s about alignment and healthy muscle balance and NOT weight loss or purely aesthetic. A holistic way of loving our bodies“
“Urban Pilates is amazing! I have been attending classes here for the past year and have enjoyed every moment of it. The teachers are phenomenal and the owner Kim is very dedicated to the studio and clients. I have chronic neck and back pain, and Pilates has helped my pain tremendously by strengthening my core and other muscles. I cannot recommend Urban Pilates enough.“
“Katona Pilates is the BEST pilates studio in Portland area. If you want to learn Pilates this is the only place to go. I've been going here for years and am still learning and improving. I always feel stronger and taller when I'm going regularly to KP. They are very experienced and knowledgeable.“
“Great studio- open and airy with big windows. Excellent instructors- everyone I’ve worked with is highly skilled, patient and knowledgeable. Love this place!“
“I have seen Colleen for body work- visceral manipulation and nervous system work- for a handful of sessions. She is the best! Always professional, easy to work with, her space is very clean and welcoming. I highly recommend her- she has a great list of services and is highly skilled in her work.“
“I have pain in my mid-back near my spine that I developed over years (10+) of working in a high demand labor intensive work environment. I went to 2 different chiropractors that gave me the same treatment plan over a span of 6 months every week with subtle results. I was referred to Dr Giles by a coworker whose opinion I respected and trusted. My very first visit I was freely welcomed to share my story of injury and treatment. For an hour she listened intently, took many notes and even got excited as she began to build a treatment plan for me that would help her pinpoint the issues of my pain. Within a matter of 2 months my pain level and flare ups have reduced by 50%. I'm not completely healed and flare ups still happen but I believe she has done more good for me in a matter of months than the 2 other doctors did in a half of a year. She doesn't generally crack you body and hope that it helps. She develops a unique treatment plan for your unique situation. I was a little taken back that she didn't crack me much like the other chiro's did. She used gentler means that, I believe have been just as effective if not better than the other chiropractic treatment.“
“Barbara came recommended to me from a couple of other individuals that had used her services - so once my neck pain started I immediately called for an appointment for some therapeutic massage. Before I left I could actually turn my head all the way to the side - a feat that was impossible and very painful when I walked in just an hour before hand! I would say that Barbara has "magical hands" - she has truly affected my health and well being - and for that I am grateful! Over the year my husband and I have scheduled monthly wellness massages as well - and recommend Barbara to everyone we know! Even if you have to drive a bit farther to see her - she is well worth it!!“
“Going to Portland Parks & Rec yoga classes for years, I finally spoke up to a yoga instructor about tightness in my hips that has made me wonder "why can't I bend at the hips like other people?"I have never done any "alternative therapy" healing or any healing because I successfully care for myself, am healthy, on no medications and have only seen a doctor once in the last 30 years for an injured knee.Well, the instructor praised Shelly Stephenson as a resource. Wow! What a smart, knowledgeable, good-humored, effective, disciplined and down-to-earth practitioner! That Shelly (in a former life) was an accomplished dancer lends factual credence that she knows the human anatomy, not just from books, coursework and clinical settings, but also from her personal artist-athlete experience.I did 10 structural integration sessions with Shelly, and Shelly did all the work. My body flows like it hasn't flowed since I was a teenager. One day, after a session with Shelly, I noticed that I take short little steps when briskly walking, and realized that was my bodys learned compensation for deficiencies elsewhere and I could now take longer strides with ease. I had never had that perspective before. On the basketball court, for the first time, I could dribble between my legs as the length of my stride was enough to now allow the ball to pass through. That was another recognition that my body has changed, more optimally, its relationship with itself. And yoga? In the mirrors, though I see some poses done well, many more difficult asanas are now accomplished better and I have much more grace of movement and range of motion. I feel good.I am hip.And for you, if Shelly sees that a different approach will be better, she will gladly refer you to someone of quality she knows in the vast world of Portland's healing modalities. She is honest, practical and insightful. I am glad I went to her, the whole experience left quite a positive impression on me.Thank you, Shelly.“
“After a car accident a few years ago, one of my providers suggested seeing Katherine at Core Pilates. I had a lot of fear about getting active again, but seeing Katherine really helped me overcome it. I can't imagine my life without classical Pilates now! The space is great and has lots of equipment, which I appreciate for having varied routines each time I go in.“

“I really enjoy attending Thrive classes. I have tried all of the yoga related classes and the BodyWise movement class. All are phenomenal and offer different experiences. I would have to say Mary's Vinyasa classes really stand out, and she is such a kind instructor. Rachel, the owner and instructor for Foundations and the BodyWise classes is such a fantastic person. She makes the space feel welcoming for everyone, and truly cares about everyone that walks through her doors.I do the monthly membership and it is worth it. I plan being a member for a long-time to come.Thank you everyone at Thrive for making the experience amazing. I am so grateful my yoga journey led me here.“
