“TL;DR/The Short Version: Great experience. Had a gas fitter come and cap our gas line and an electrician come to set up a 240V outlet when we switched from a gas range to an electric one. The Long Version: When my husband and I bought our house, it came with a gas range. Having grown up with electric, I was really hesitant to keep it and wanted to switch to electric, but I eventually got used to it and we kept it. Not too long ago, the oven bit the dust and stopped working. The elements still worked but I need my oven! So at this point we decided to switch to electric. We needed someone to cap the gas line and install a 240V outlet for the new range. Francis Home Environment was great because they offered both services. We had 2 different technicians of course, but they were both from the same company who coordinated their work. My husband dealt with the technicians and I got to benefit from the results, lol. Terry came in the morning to cap the gas line. He was great. He checked the line in the basement too. Then David came in the afternoon to do the electrical work. He pointed out that the previous owners did not do some electrical work properly and we had live wires just taped up behind our range. We could have gotten electrocuted all these years! Omg! David fixed things up and now we have a new 240V outlet and no live wires just hanging out with their ends taped. Both technicians were courteous, professional and efficient. I liked that they came during their scheduled time window and my husband got a text when they were on their way and he could track their location on his phone. They wore shoe covers in the house as not to dirty the floors. Their price was on the higher end, but we were happy with the whole process from start to finish. Carmine was so honest and pleasant. He came straight forward in how much cost savings we would have by installing a new gas furnace. “Matt came to our house a year ago to fix our AC, and we were very happy with his service. We had recently bought a new house without an inspection, and our AC was not turning on. We were convinced that we would need to buy a new unit, but thanks to Matt we didn't. “Reid has been looking after my furnace for years. They installed my new furnace about 7 years ago. It's off warranty now, so I do the annual plan and it gives me great peace of mind. I've had a couple of mechanical failures and they were right over and fixed the problems. Over the years, all of the staff have been great to deal with. From the person who answers the phone to the technicians that work on the furnace.They have a fantastic new system this year. Just before the technician arrives for a scheduled service call, they send a text to telling me the technician will arrive shortly, reminding me of any things I need to do, and showing me a picture of the technician. So when the doorbell rings and I look out, I'm not wondering if this stranger is the guy who is supposed to be there. I know it's the guy who is going to make sure we stay warm this winter.“
