“Goodlife closed. Been a member for 12 years. Been seeing AK through friends on Insta, decided to come by late tonight and I met J.R at the front desk. Very welcoming, professional and awesome. Joined right away. The smoothie bar open 24/7 is fantastic. Gym is awesome, equipment is great. 5 star.“

“I’m a type of person who hates walking into a gym and being watched. But Duane made me feel comfortable by showing me what I’m doing wrong on a machine or whatever I need. And that is what a true rep or person part of the gym should be like! He cares and listens to what you need.Carol is my personal trainer and the first time I met her I explained that I need someone to push me. Well I definitely got what I asked for and I couldn’t be more happy with my results. Also she is very outgoing and bubbly very easy to talk to but gets the job done. She makes you want to come back everyday and enjoy your workout it’s not a chore. I highly recommend this gym. The staff are amazing.“

“They mislead me into signing up for a personal training membership on top of my boyfriend and I’s pre existing gym membership. Pretty sure Devon, the personal trainer— forged my signature in places and told me that I was only signing a contract for “liability” purposes for the “complimentary” personal training session i did with him which was included in the original gym membership. I never received a copy of the contract, receipt, or an email afterwards to schedule/book a session. They charged my boyfriend’s credit card 383$ without his authorization alongside 2 other fraudulent charges. Tyler and Nicole, the so called “managers” will not cancel either of our memberships until it’s investigated and we told all the managers there that we were moving away from Barrie, therefore it all needs to be cancelled. Nicole kept disappearing when I adamantly told her I needed my membership cancelled. Tyler laughed in my face and kept making rude and demeaning comments when I tried to work things out and settle this so I asked him if I should contact my lawyer. He then proceeded to tell me if I “can’t afford to pay for my current memberships then how am I gunna afford a lawyer”. He acted like that is any of his business anyway? Regardless, it is extremely shady and the kind of business they are running over there is dirty. Tyler then proceeded to tell me that LA fitnesses legal team has the best lawyers around and they are unbeatable & wished me luck— in an attempt to create fear within me I assume? He clearly has no idea who I am but I wish you guys the best. I truly hope you guys all feel good about taking advantage of two 21 year olds who are just starting out in life and are struggling financially to begin with. Absolutely sickening. The only reason I rated this place 1 star was due to the blatant disrespect, lack of professionalism, lack of compassion, lack of awareness, and scam these people are supporting. Otherwise it is an amazing facility with good equipment, a basketball court and pool/sauna/hot tub. Something seriously needs to change with this location. I am conflicted in whether this is a management issue or an overall cooperation issue with regards to the way they are training their employees. I don’t know who the hiring manager was for Nicole and Tyler but it is probably in their best interest to reevaluate their decision on letting these two run the facility. It breaks my heart to see something so positive and motivating at the start when we first joined LA fitness, get ruined for my boyfriend and I because of the way we were treated by Devon, Tyler, and Nicole. I hope this is some sort of awakening for you three and I pray for the healing of your sick minds. UPDATE: I’ve updated this review from 1 star to 5 for the sole purpose of Wyatt. If it wasn’t for Wyatt and his professionalism in handling this situation, I would’ve taken legal action. Thank you Wyatt, you’re a godsend and truly deserve a raise. Thank you for refunding and cancelling the personal training membership with no questions asked. When i was explaining to Wyatt what happened the day my boyfriend and I came in— Tyler’s petty comments towards me — some employee who looked like he was in high school, and I’ve never seen before, had the nerve to say “I don’t think Tyler said that”. Wyatt shut down the employees remark immediately and apologized for his words and actions. If anything, Wyatt should be overseeing all the managers and employees at the south end location in Barrie. LA fitness was out of control until Wyatt came in to handle things with pure compassion, grace and professionalism. Props to you Wyatt, you’re a beauty. Stay blessed.“
