I really liked Dr. Gonzalez but the staff is terrible! You make an appointment, they ask you to come in 15 minutes early and then you wait for at least 45 minutes to see the doctor. Their scheduling is the worst. I finally got fed up and walked out. They sent me a letter via FedEx stating they would no longer see me. What a blessing that was!!!!! I wasn't planning to go back anyway. I found a new eyecare provider and had a complete exam done in 45 minutes - the same amount of time I was waiting to see Dr. Gonzalez - and never did see her. Clarkson Eyecare has closed their Beechwood office and sent their clients to the Independence office. They have now closed the Independence office. I would guess they are losing patients due to the extensive wait times to see the doctor. If you are looking for a good eyecare provider - do not use Clarkson unless you enjoy waiting 45 minutes to an hour for your appointment.“

Also, you can book appointments online! We were lucky to get in during the busy “use or lose your FSA” month.

Lastly, they are located at the new Van Aken center, which is a treat and has plentiful free parking.“
