“Dr Julie is very thorough and pleasant to speak with. She explains everything that she checks for and all the tests I need to monitor my eyes and has helped keep pre glaucoma symptoms at bay and under control, pushing surgical options down the road until medically necessary. My family and now my in laws go to her as well gor our regular checkups. Trusting someone with your sight is not a small matter.“

“We had a great time with Patti as we picked out our glasses. She laid out all the options, gave us the best choices and told us her recommendations of the best way to use our insurance which ended us saving us money in the long run. Our doc does a great job at going through things with us and he is willing to answer any question we have.“

“I used to be very near-sighted, and I can't wear contacts any more. So, glasses. I like to have glasses that complement my outfits. My prescription changes rather quickly, too, or did, from cataracts.About six (?) years ago, I complained to a friend that I couldn't find pretty or stylish glasses. I wanted red or turquoise, and cat-eye if possible. The mall optical stores sold boring colors and unflattering shapes--the upper part of the frame slanting downward so I always had a hang-dog look. My friend pointed me to Eye Candy, and boy was I surprised when I walked through that door! YES to colorful lenses! YES to cat-eye shapes (which for me are much more flattering)! YES to a sense of fun and originality! I have never looked back.Glamour! Style! Personality! An element of playfulness, too!Eye Candy's prices for frames and prescription lenses were a little BELOW the shopping mall glasses store's. And these are for Paris-designed frames. I don't know how they do it. I guess they aren't paying shopping mall rent. (They also gave me a candy bar, gratis. Oh, and pretty eye-glass cases. The shopping mall stores don't even give you a case, grrrr.)I am a spendthrift, I know, but I always buy two pairs, one in each color that I customarily wear. And Eye Candy had MULTIPLE options for my favorite colors--orange, red, turquoise, blue, multi. The first time I got a new prescription, I was conservative and just got red--my sister's advice--black is boring and unflattering. I know black is supposed to be "neutral," but I've been color-analyzed and was warned against black, which makes my complexion look dull and sallow. And, YES, the lady who helped me look knew all about color analysis (unlike the shopping mall clerks). The next time, I had gotten a little extra money, so I got two pairs--orange and aqua. I switched them off depending on my mood and wardrobe choices.A third visit, some years later, and I got orange, sapphire, and a playful multicolor. For all moods. Then I got cataract surgery. Oh, well, no more Eye Candy. But I got looking at myself in the mirror and I had these bags under my eyes, and I can't wear eye makeup because it irritates my eyes. I thought, well, sometimes people (John Lennon?) wear glasses as a fashion accessory. So I went back and asked if they could put blank lenses in my old frames. Yes, they could! But then I also thought, why not get transition lenses so they color in sunlight. This cost, of course, but I loved my glasses. And oh, I found this crazy pair with Crayola-colored fragments, perfect for an orange dress I plan to wear to a very special event.Eye Candy is just Cleveland based. The owner orders frames directly from Paris, Italy, etc. They periodically have trunk shows, little parties to show off their new stuff. And very personalized service. The lady who helped me with my recent choices was stylishly dressed in kitten-heels and an adorable short skirt. She "got" me immediately--color, style, level of craziness (they have some sedate and some intensely wild selections). The owner is similarly intuitive about one's personal style--and level of wildness. As I was leaving, a guy came in with his wife. They selected orange frames for him. Totally suited him, very masculine-looking guy.Highly, highly recommended.“

“I now have been here twice - last time my doc was great. I had less expectations this time because how could it be better. Dr. Sterna and staff exceeded my last visit. To get here, I drive by two other eye docs that would be more convenient but when you find a place like this, doesn't matter how long the drive is. I have already and will continue to recommend Madison Eye care to anybody and everybody.“

“Best optical center ever. Don't do lens crafters, their prices are ridiculous and staff and selection not so good. Svs blew me away with their professionalism and how the optometrist went above and beyond to diagnose my eye changes and needs. Beautiful experience.“

“I have been wearing glasses for years. My typical eye care choice is SVS in Mentor. The staff is great but the optometrist was what seem as a factory line mentality. So my last meeting the optometrist has retired. So that sent me in search for a new optometrist. It is currently difficult getting an eye appointment from SVS. My search lead me to Pearle Vision in Westlake. The staff is really down to earth and kind. But the star is Dr. Lam. She is very patient orient. Like I said I've bee glasses for AR least 50 years, she explained every test and result to me. She doesn't talk down she is just so passionate about her job. I didn't purchase glasses so I am not sure about the technicians other the greetings and checking out after my exam. They were great. My prescription hasn't changed enough to need purchasing glasses. So they didn't have to put up with me. LOL“

“I have several unusual, if not unique, eye problems that have posed difficulties the past few years, both in the measurement and in the filling of my prescriptions. I've been to several optometrists, but despite their best efforts I continued to experience problems. A friend told me that she had been to Dr. Mark Davis and was quite satisfied and so I followed her lead.Dr. Davis was very thorough in his examination and careful in listening to my history and my own observations, the end result being a highly satisfied and grateful patient. Less critical, though certainly important, is the terrific assortment of frames available to accompany the successful prescription. I will certainly return.“

“Incredible place. The eye doctor is thorough and knowledgeable, caught stuff even my previous eye doctors missed. You never feel rushed or unwelcome, and everyone from the man who sizes glasses to the women at the front desk are warm and welcoming.“

“A first rate office. Both Dr Brendel and Dr Jesse are knowledgeable, friendly and caring. Dr Brendel spotted a health condition that would have been serious if not treated. Another time, Dr Jesse squeezed me in at the end of a long day to treat a problematic eye. The staff is uniformly friendly and helpful. I can't recommend Valley City Vision strongly enough.“

“Dr Kammer is great! He’s thorough in his exams. I’ve been going to him for many years. I have a lazy eye and when my first eye Dr retired, it took me a while to find a Dr that gave a thorough exam. You can tell that he loves what he does. His staff is also great! If you need a great eye Dr. he’s the one to call!!“

“Instead of leaving a negative review on my latest eye docs page I decided to come back to say - Dr. Kammer is easily the most thorough, careful, understanding and thoughtful eye doctor I’ve ever had. I will never go to another doctor as long as he is practicing. His kindness and consideration and goofiness!! Are incomparable. 100/5 stars. A gift to earth.“

“We saw Dr Lauren Rowland and we are so glad we made the switch! Her staff greeted us right away and got us started with the exam. We really liked the girl who did our exam. The office also has an Octo-something machine that can do an exam without dilating the eyes. YES PLEASE. It was so easy and pain free. The doctor was very friendly and laid back. We chatted about personal stuff while she did the exam, which was nice and easy. We talked about my vision and health as well and she provided knowledgeable insight. The Visionworks staff was also nice. They helped my husband find a great pair of prescription safety glasses, which is something he's wanted for 15 years!“
