“This business is amazing!When I first spoke to Ayshu and Gwen about the leaky outside faucet at the house I grew up in, but now rented in White Plains, they were very understanding of my concerns.I had received an outrageous estimate from another local company that my parents had used for years. The other plumber deemed a valve shut-off was necessary by the City of White Plains, and an excavation by one of their associate construction companies was required. The estimate was over $5000!My parents were school teachers in White Plains. My father worked with plumbers in the summer when school was out of session, and he cleaned furnaces. He built this house in 1963. I found it hard to believe a 60 year old house that had been well taken care of for the 50 years they lived in it could have fallen into such a state of disrepair.All-Self Plumbing listened to my story, and the owner- Bahru, promised to give me an honest estimate. “I have used R&M for many years. The first time the owner came over years ago for a second opinion. A different company said I need to replace a 9 year old HVAC costing $10,000. R&M took a look and ended up fabricating a part and it ended up costing $1,500. I realized then they would be the company I would be using going forward. That unit is still working 13 years later. They have done many repairs and also installed a new HVAC unit. They have been very responsive on many occasions. I have a 93 year old Mother living in the house, and losing AC in the middle of the summer is quite scary. They are very processional and honest. “Before making any decision, we had several companies come in to give us an estimate. Although the quotes were all very similar, we decided to go with Doug and Dain from Able Air. We were extremely happy with everything about Abel Air! We had a huge job, needing our water heater, furnace and A/C condenser and coil replaced. “New England Total Energy did an outstanding job with multiple phases of our transition from oil to propane for our entire home. Phase 1 entailed burying a 1000 gallon propane tank in our yard (flood zone) and piping it to our house. We already had our gas stove, fireplace, grill and gas lanterns on propane (150 gallon side tank) however, the furnaces and hot water was driven off of oil. The 2nd Phase entailed installing a Generac home back up power system....in a flood zone. The Generac has already kicked on multiple times during the recent storms, no worries with all of our food, power and fiber optic, I could work the entire time without even knowing we were running on back up power. The final 3rd Phase was tearing out the entire oil boiler, removing the oil tanks and installing the new Viesman instant hot water propane wall boiler condenser unit. It was like a work of art, the guys did a fantastic job installing everything and I love looking at the mechanical room, it is spotless and looks so impressive. All in all, from Phase 1 through Phase 3, we were impressed as they left no stone unturned, extremely professional, courteous, problem solvers, creative and just good guys overall. Every morning I would run and get coffee and donuts and we would start the day with some laughs and discuss what the goals were for the day. Keep up the great work, I would highly recommend NETE for anyone planning to transition or start fresh building a new home, I could not have asked for a better team and the results were second to none.
