“Very personable and professional service by Mike. Arrived during the stated time period. Wore ‘booties’ when he entered the house, keeping my floors and rugs clean. No nonsense approach. He assessed the situation,offered the solution then priced it out. Gave us an estimate of the time and manpower it would take then asked when we’d like the work done. We said ASAP since it wasn’t an active leak, he could have a crew here in 3 days. We agreed and the job has been scheduled.
Part 2- 3 days later and Mike and Nick showed up on the earlier side of the promised window. Again, entered our house with the booties on. They originally said it would take about 4 hours when they came for the estimate but they wrapped it up in a little less than 2. They replaced a rusted sewer line and several feeds to it that were also rusted. We had just painted the room white and sealed the floor after some minor flooding in the basement. To look at the space, you never would have known they had been there. They had brought drop clothes with them and set those up everywhere. When they were finished, I couldn't find a single spot on the walls or the floor. Super clean workmanship. Theirs is a number we are keeping in our go to repair book. I highly recommend them. I can see why there are so many 5 star reviews. They earn them everyday.“

After a very comprehensive initial inspection and estimate, Dan offered creative solutions to our complicated issue of replacing both wet return lines which were damaged and buried under our basement foundation. He provided an effective solution to hide them in baseboard in our finished basement which provided the best outcome with minimal disruption to existing walls. “You really want to make Extreme Plumbing your plumber for a number of reasons. This is a family business, with the clear commitment and desire by all involved to build a professionally run firm that is well suited for working with homeowners. I’ve met the owner, Jason, his son Jason, and their supporting team member Alberto. They are sincere, helpful, clear(!), fair, honest, neat (everything was carefully cleaned) and clearly in command of their plumbing skill. I had a tough job for them, and they kept at it until everything was resolved optimally and efficiently given the tight space challenges. I didn’t know them since they were sent to fix a leak by the general contractor who did my bathroom, but I’m planning to make them my plumber for all future needs, including annual service on the boiler and tankless hot water heater (which requires expertise). They didn’t have to do such a good job, yet they put in the effort. Jason (the owner) assessed another plumbing challenge that I have with my radiators, and was confident in how to fix it with a fair price (something I haven’t been able to get other plumbers to be able to successfully address). His son Jason, who led the whole job, was thoughtful, committed, and attentive to detail - he gave me his cell phone number for future reference. “I highly recommend these guys! Just recently my old boiler and water heater were not working properly. Joe tried his best to fix it but cost wise it wouldn’t have been worth it. I decided to replace it. Rich from Mako gave me a reasonable quote and Joe and George came right away to install a new combo wall unit. The work Joe did with the piping is impeccable (you can see in the picture)and the unit is working beautifully. They worked nice and clean and they finished in the time frame they gave me. “We’ve been happy customers for over two years and we only wish we had discovered them sooner. The previous company had misdiagnosed an issue that led to numerous costly breakdowns and repairs. We had heard good things about Proactive Home Services so we gave them a try and they were able to fix the problem (this time for good!) at an extremely reasonable rate. Because they were so friendly, professional, and affordable, we signed up for their maintenance program. Twice a year an extremely knowledgeable serviceman (big shout out to Ted!) will come run a diagnostics on our system. Even though we’ve come to know him, Proactive still sends us a picture of him before the appointment. We very much appreciate that level of safety. We haven’t had a single issue with our system in those two years, which is a huge departure of the previous few years. That being said, even though everything runs perfectly, we keep the maintenance checkup service because it’s so reasonably priced and provides a level of security knowing that any future issues will be resolved. We can’t say enough nice things about this company. They are always extremely responsive, setting up appointments is easy, and they are *GASP* always on time. They even confirm when they are near via text. We see them once in the fall, and once in the spring, and never in between because our system just works!“

“Mike and his team are some of the most talented plumbing and heating experts on the island. After moving into our new house 2 years ago (north shore of LI), we recognized we had a very extensive and complicated boiler room (not to mention quite a lot of bathrooms) that was giving us some problems. We had consulted with a few plumbing companies in the area, including some of the bigger ones, and none were really able to grasp the complications of our boiler system. We finally contacted Mike and Matt, and they were able to coherently explain what was going on and what all of the issues were. When we eventually ran into bigger problems with our wall boilers (a result of the prior owners not taking any care of them for a decade), Tumminello was our choice to revamp the entire boiler room with brand new equipment. They are truly experts at their craft (a lot of the technical aspects go over my head). Mike, Matt and their guys did such a great job and we're super happy with out it turned out. They always showed up on time and didn't leave until the job was done. Our boiler room is now much more efficient and organized and, most importantly, in working order (shoutout to Matt in particular for being a rockstar - he could be a rocket scientist for NASA; he also took the care to make sure everything looked perfect and was super organized). We've also used Tumminello for non-boiler-related issues (e.g., sink installation, leaks, clogs, etc.) and they've always responded promptly (and fairly). Truly a one-stop shop for all things plumbing and heating. Do not hesitate to use Tumminello. Very, very highly recommended!“
