“I walked past this gym for roughly 5 YEARS convincing myself that I didn’t need them, that I know what to do, and that it’s a waste of money. Finally about two weeks ago (after several hospital visits and doctor’s appointments later), I walked in and made it happen. Yes, I know what but it never hurts to have someone there holding you accountable. Stopping you from stopping and giving up on yourself. The entire staff is amazing. Beginning with Kasey, who answered my call and took the time to answer each and every question I had. Jelz, is such a sweetheart. She also took the time to answer my questions and motivated me to join. The classes are continuous. Breaks are minimal but I love it. The longer the break the less I want to start again. The coaches will push you to your max but not injury. They are quick to correct your form and will ask several times throughout the session how you’re feeling. I love it. I honestly hate that I didn’t start 5 years ago. Oh and the class size is perfect. No more than 12 ladies per class so each class feels like a mini personal training session.“

“Hello to anyone who reads this and is looking for a place to learn martial arts. Stop looking because you found it. Nubreed martial arts is the best place iv ever been to train. I came back after a two years and it seems to have gotten even better if you can belive it. Everyone from the students,to the sifus are super nice and helpful. Everyone their is their to train get in shape and just have a great time. The sifus are amazing the are very knowledgeable about every art in nubreed and always looking to help their students. The teachers are awesome always alot of energy to give a great class. Word to the wise if you are looking for a place to just goof off and think you are going to learn how to just beat people up nubreed is probably not for you. They have rules that you need to follow from the uniform to how your treat the other students its about respect discipline and having a great time learning. So if you toook the time to read this then you should call up set up a trial class and i look forward to working with you cause once you come you will be begging for more.“

“I tried Just Fit Training for the first time and it was great! The gym was clean, well-kept, and personnel were friendly. I worked with a trainer named Stephanie and really enjoyed our sessions. I am someone who is on and off with exercise and has tried a variety of classes in the past (pilates, hot yoga, orange theory, regular gym, etc). I gained ~10lbs recently and mostly wanted to jump-start a good habit to get back at the gym and be able to exercise independently. Stephanie was great and through our hour sessions she really pushed me beyond my limits. I was able to learn just how much my body could handle! I was also never worried with safety as she is someone who values proper form and completing reps accurately. Throughout our sessions, I really felt that she cared about my health/well-being and she was super fun and a blast to work with. “I trained with Ira Frank at Atlantis for over 20 years until I recently moved out of state. Ira is a consummate professional and took the time to research, design and implement a training program to address my specific goals and needs. Whenever I had an injury (from other activities of course; e.g., figure skating, bicycling, hiking), Ira would tailor my sessions to aid in recovery and based upon the program of the physical therapist. He even attended one PT session with me (above and beyond!). I credit Ira's training with allowing me to do such extreme activities as hiking the Inca Trail in Peru, the Tiger's Nest in Bhutan, the Alps, etc., well into my 50's. Knowing I get bored easily Ira worked so hard to make every session interesting - constantly adding and changing the exercises. I looked forward to each session as the highlight of my week. I was so sad to leave Ira when I moved. It took some time but I finally found a trainer in my new state who works in a similar manner (he's respectful of and receptive to what I was used to at Atlantis - the very best!). As I am getting older and encountering various common health issues, I can't emphasize how important it is to work with a professional like Ira Frank. I fractured my femur in June. I credit all those years with Ira for allowing me to recuperate quickly and climb temples and Buddha statues in southeast Asia in December! I will always be grateful to Ira Frank and Atlantis for helping me to live life to the fullest.“
“Uptown's very own woman and Latina-owned group training and wellness studio, Drip Sweat offers classes from multiple kinds of strength training (HIIT), kickboxing and yoga. The instructors are all well trained, friendly and challenge you to push yourself. All the classes I've taken have been really fun and I always leave feeling stronger and empowered. I also love the studio space. The lockers are near the training room and the room is dark with only blue lights around so everyone won't see the weird faces you make while working out, HA! And can't forget about the juice bar! All their juices are made to order using fresh ingredients to aid in whatever you need (energize, detox, or recovery). Definitely recommend taking a class, or two, or three and don't forget to bring a friend!“

I was casually looking through Google Maps and was so happy to see this place is still up and rocking… this remains the best gym I’ve ever been to in my life and I’ve got many great memories of my time here!
