“As long as you book an appointment, you will not have to wait long. The whole process from getting your vision evaluated to ordering glasses (or contacts) should only take an hour. They are frames for every price point, and the staff (esp. Madeline) offer great advice for finding a frame that fits your face. The location is also quite convenient since it is maybe 20 steps from the Woodhaven Blvd subway stop.“

“Windsor Park Vision is a hidden gem!! Paige and the staff is warm and welcoming yet knowledgeable and professional but above all else, they are honest and actually care about their clients!! Don't let their unimposing exterior fool you, Windsor Park Vision is full service eye care- they have an on-site doctor and are fully stocked with a wide range of frames to choose from (and if by chance they don't have the frames you want, they can order it and have it delivered asap). But trust me-YOU WILL FIND SOMETHING!! They work with many insurance plans including many Civil Service angency plans. I paid $36 for my daughter's designer frames AND bc she was leaving for college in a couple of days, they put in a rush order and she got her glasses THE NEXT DAY!!!! For her last pair of glasses, I paid over $400 at Cohen's Optical and had to wait more than a week. I wish I had known about WPV sooner because I live literally a block away from them and must've walked past them a thousand times. (They're in Hollis Court, across the street from KeyFood and CVS.) I am so glad my insurance, EyeMed, listed them as a provider in my area, so my husband and I went to check them out. Otherwise, I would still be overpaying for glasses and my daughter would not have her glasses with her at school. Windsor Park Vision, you guys are good, honest people!!! There are not many like you around. Thank you!!“

“I couldn’t find anyone to fix my glasses for me because I didn’t purchase them from their store; I called pearl vision, Americas best along with some other big branches (I get my glasses from Zenni online, most stores don’t want to touch them because “the material is cheap and they might break,” they won’t even look at them). Frustrated and about to give up looking, I found this spot, called them up and I was told to come in. The sweetest italian nonno, without hesitation took both pairs, repaired them AND DIDN'T CHARGE ME FOR THE REPAIR! It did take quite some time for my son's glasses to arrive though - like, several weeks. I also later ordered a pair of replacement glasses for him and I didn't receive them until almost 3 months later - crazy. I intend to go back though since pricing is reasonable and all of my interactions have been pleasant...I just know to give myself plenty of lead time.“

“I've been using Austin Optics for at least 15 years. Iris, Mark and Dr. Perlmutter are terrific. Recently my circa 1920's Viennese gold rim frames needed major repair. Mark performed "surgery" on them and they are now like new (thought still a cherished antique that I will wear daily). The price was certainly fair as it was an extensive retrofitting. Totally recommend them.“
