I was casually looking through Google Maps and was so happy to see this place is still up and rocking… this remains the best gym I’ve ever been to in my life and I’ve got many great memories of my time here! “The Floor is a truly magical studio and I wouldn't do Pilates anywhere else.
Before I met Jamie and tried her class at The Floor, I was scared to do Pilates in NYC because the studios I walked past usually seemed competitive, intense, and well... cliquey (basically exactly like the SNL skit).
The Floor is the THE EXACT OPPOSITE of that—Jamie's classes are incredibly welcoming, grounded, fun, and HARD.
Jamie pays incredible attention to each person's needs and body, no matter what their experience or ability. She cues things in a way that means I have FINALLY found my butt after years of confusion, and somehow manages to be serious/light/exacting/forgiving all at the same time.

“Best place to do acrobatics NYC.The space has mats, lines, an air track and a lot of other equipment for training.The owners are super nice and very experienced acrobats. Their teaching is very well broken down and there's good inputs at all levels. There are also various well structured classes.So no matter if Newbie or experienced Acrobat, if you come for a class or free training, for Acro or Aerials, this is the place!“

“With in minutes of the first class of Yoga For Strong Bones, Jennifer showed me how to sit comfortably crosslegged with multiple props. I told her that I felt my investment was worth it with just that. She made me more aware of holding tension and releasing tension and breathing more effectively. She led us through 12 poses that are alleged, according to the NY Times, to prevent and even reverse osteoporosis. Jennifer brings her own special sauce by reading from a book of Rupi Kaur poems and creating a peaceful space that is calming to the nervous system.I am so appreciative for this amazing group of women that I share this experience with each week!“

“The Furnace is a hidden gem in Bay Ridge! I started taking classes about a month ago after my friend decided to bring me as a guest and ever since then I’ve been hooked! I LOVE the studio! The staff is phenomenal, with highly trained instructors who lead classes with expertise and passion making you always feel welcomed! There are classes seven days a week, with classes as early as 7 AM, and as late as 8 PM, so there’s always some thing for you! At first I was a little nervous, as I’ve never taken a hot Pilates/yoga class, but I am very happy that I pushed myself to try something new and I can’t wait to see the results!“
