“I contracted Mark and Marjorie for a major remodel to my house. The result well exceeded my expectations. Their expertise, hands on approach, and the craftsmanship and work ethic of their entire team of subcontractors is top notch and unmatched.Marjorie worked with me for almost a year to design the perfect remodel for my house. It involved moving doors, windows, walls, relocating plumbing through several places in the slab, a complete electrical rewiring plan, rerouting HVAC ducting, punching holes through the roof – this was a BIG project. Through the entire design process, Marjorie and Mark were very resourceful, developing some great design ideas. At the same time, they were very communicative and really listened to my concerns, coming up with very cool and innovative solutions.When the work started, the value of their detailed preparation became apparent. Everything had been accurately planned for and measured to the fraction of an inch. When surprises did arise, they were on it. They were on site every day, answering my questions, responding almost immediately to my phone calls and concerns without fail. This wasn’t just my house – I really felt as though it was “our” house. They are totally invested, and their number one concern was providing a quality product, making me happy with a job well done.I also mentioned their team of subcontractors – absolutely outstanding craftsmen, each and every one, with a solid work ethic the likes of which I have never before experienced from builders and contractors. Each person, boss and assistants, the framers, the electricians, drywall guys, painters, flooring guys, finishers, cabinet makers, plumbers, quartzite countertop fabricators – every single one is an expert, and a real pleasure to work with, incredibly courteous, and extremely conscientious. Really too many to mention here, but you will be absolutely blown away by Joaquin, a magician with wood. Lorenzo holds it all together and makes it all run like a well-oiled machine. Hugo and Ramon are artists with rock.I really can’t say enough good things about Mark, Marjorie, and AD&R. I’ve heard that remodeling is usually a pretty awful, tedious, and stressful ordeal. Not with this team. They made the entire process -- from planning, to demo, to construction, to finishing, even cleaning – a rewarding and satisfying experience. Before AD&R, I wasn’t very happy with my house, but now, after AD&R, I really, truly love my house and plan to stay here forever, ONLY because of their hard work. I feel like I’m living in something out of a designer magazine. Stay local with this world class team. Stop looking – you’ve just found the best remodelers in the area.“

“I get pretty excited when we get a project that requires custom woodwork, because Matt and Jim are not only amazing at what they do, they are also fun to work with. We have had Jim build a custom credenza with sliding doors for a discerning client, and the finished product was not only gorgeous but also built to our exact specifications. The piece far exceeded my expectations. They recently built a set of 4 custom drawers for us on another project that turned out beautifully. Jim was able to work off a hand-drawn rendering and some basic measurements, and everything we needed to install and finish the drawers was provided. The work was precise, and every detail was accounted for. When I call, they are available, or one of them calls me right back. They do what they say they are going to do, the prices are fair, the work is exquisite, and they are both about the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. We will continue to do our wood projects with Matt and Jim.“

In addition, XPS is one of the biggest in the game, and they stand behind their products, which from a business owner perspective, is the most important attribute. “They took out a porcelain tile floor and replaced it with new tiles in my kitchen. I had some delays as part of my tile order was wrong, and I had to wait a week to get more of the correct tiles delivered. They were ready to jump back in as soon as my tiles arrived. They protected my cabinets from getting demolition dust inside of them, and I couldn't be happier with the beautiful result. Great installation, careful with my wooden cabinets, finished quickly, and very talented people. Can't recommend them highly enough.“
