There was a short wait when I arrived as I walked in and the lovely Lina was working alone on another client. But I’m so glad I waited. I’ve been having my nails done for years and this is honestly the best manicure I’ve had, the nail care and attention to detail was unmatched. I have never been so in love with a set. The salon is clean with a warm friendly atmosphere and just an absolute pleasure the be there. And I’m not complaining but she almost undercharges for how fabulous a job she does - leaving room for a tip without needing to take out a loan! So very grateful - can’t wait to come back before I head home in August!

Only my second time there, and I can say with absolute certainty, that this is my new go-to salon. Everyone is so awesome and chill. I got to hang out with the owners dog Carmine while i waited for my appt. And immediately was offered a beverage. My appointment was just a wash and blow out but I decided day of to fill in my roots. I completely expected to have to come back another day, but they were so accommodating. Sasha ended up doing, not only the color, but also my eyebrows!!!! What I also truly loved is that it didn't feel awkward having a conversation with my stylist. Usually I'm very shy and don't talk much in the chair, due to social anxiety, but all the staff were so amazing and I found myself talking and joining in their conversations quite easily. If I could leave more stars I would, but alas, 5 is the max. So here, you guys deserve these.

I recently visited Salon X and had the pleasure of having Keila as my stylist. She is soft-spoken and not as chatty as most hairdressers, which I appreciate for the calm, quiet experience- as an introvert myself. Keila is incredibly meticulous in all-over full highlighting technique, a quality I have never encountered before although I’ve been to 4 other salons in the past 3 years. I’d def call her a blonding expert. Although my expected 4-hour visit turned into a longer session, the outcome was exactly what I wanted, and she maintained the integrity of my hair's health. She is also skilled at doing a quick blow out on my naturally curly hair.

My natural hair is thin & short, the way he did them blends so well, my hair looks beautiful & full. Sha is really my girl because the way she styles my hair is unmatched. I'd like to say I never been in this place but I was staring into the store admiring what they did with the old comic book shop I used to buy Pokemon cards from as a kid. While I'm staring stuffing my face with French fries the barber notices me mouth full of fries and started smiling instantly realizing he caught me. I decided to try this place out because it’s close to home.Had a 2 day trip to salon. Paired with Christine as my colorist stylist. She wasn’t warm & welcoming initially. That’s besides the fact. What was to be a full balayage turned into a corrective session of sorts. She did a fantastic job 1st round.I asked for more ash and I got a mushroom blonde balayage.it looked wonderful. However, when I got home, the lighting did not flatter this color on me one bit. Olive skin with icy hues clashes.Made me look drab and old.
The salon policy is a re-do could be done within a week. So I quickly contacted Christine next day to help. She got some silver hues out and the final look was perfect! FINALLY! Been looking for a barber who would LISTEN to the way I wanted my hair cut and Mike filled the bill. Was told to try the Dominican barbers I tried at least four, but never left their chairs fully satisfied. Mike gave me the cut I wanted and tightened up my "stache and goatee as well. 2nd best haircut experience I've ever had and the only reason it came in second is because my best cut was done by this fine (seriously, a "10") honey in DC and I'll never forget that experience. Coming back after two years and it was just as good of an experience as the first but even better. I came a little early and was put in the chair despite that. I was greeted with kindness, and flexibility. The conversation flower and the nails blew my expectations since I came in indecisive, I was given lots of options and even a better one than expected. My nails always last a long time but I lifted up 6 40 case bottles of water up flights of stairs without breaking a nail... My expectations are HIGH. Also she introduced me to two tone polish and I'm so intrigued by the fact it changes color

I've lived in J.C my entire with the exception of twice but i was born n raised here and I could never find a nail tech I genuinely liked. Jenny is that for me now. I only get my toes done. Gel pedicure every time. Very very fair prices. My usual nail tech, Anna, moved to another area and I was worried about working with someone new. Since, I’ve now have had 2 different nail tech do my toes and they are always great. They listen when I ask them not to cut them too short, and they make them nice and square, just as I ask. I have a toenail that got messed up when I was a kid and is difficult to work with and they make it look like a normal toe nail! They are also extremely friendly & fair. For example, I came in and was encouraged to try a new color (I always do white). I tried a new color, absolutely hated it, came back in the next day to redo them, expecting to be charged as usual as it was my decision and my fault, and the manager ended up giving me a great discount! I really appreciated that. Great nail salon.

This is a great example to not believing all the reviews. I needed a new local salon since Annie's moved to Bayonne (and TBH their prices were a little high for me to be trekking to Bayonne). Posh Nails is at a great location, clean, and professional. My nail tech Gwen was nice and friendly and warm. She wasn't in a rush. It was nice to see the nail techs having conversations with their clients. It seemed ever welcoming. Gwen killed my gel manicure and gel pedicure. The shape, the polish application, etc. Overall 10/10. Prices for nail and beauty services are getting higher; so a higher price is expected, you just have to be willing to pay for the quality and other factors like distance (I live within walking distance). And TBH, I feel like I got quality with this visit. It was only my first visit so TBD but first impressions count!

I have been getting massages for the past ten years and the sports massage with Eddy is hands down the gold standard. I have chronically tight shoulders and glutes, and Eddy did not give up! He released areas that no one has ever been able to before. Please do yourself a favor and book a massage with Eddy!

My feet are so pain free after a 30 minute foot massage. And the one time I did the whole body massage, the man ended it with hot stones on my back. A nice bonus! Not to mention the thoughtful "treat" on the way out - bottled water and those small tasty apple candies - it's the little things that make a business a success. I hope they thrive.

Eddie is my go to for all plumbing needs. He is responsive, honest and does a great job. He also has an excellent network of fellow contractors that he can refer you to should the job not just be a plumbing issue. I have called him for water heater issues as well as bathroom leaks.
My hot water tank broke on me overnight so I immediately called Aumenta Plumbing the following morning after going through reviews of local plumbers. They were able to make a visit a little over an hour after my call and after taking a look at my system, Carmine was able to confirm that it did need to be replaced and they had a replacement tank on hand so it could be done that day. He was back an hour later with all the supplies and did a careful and thorough job draining the old broken heater, switching it out with the new one, and getting all the pipes and vents in place. He was also able to help me look into a toilet flush issue that I also had and resolved it quickly as well. Pricing was reasonable especially given the turnaround and quality of work, and I'm grateful to have hot water back less than a day after the tank broke!Very much recommend giving them a call to service any of your plumbing needs.Services: Toilet repair
I had a leak in my living room coming from a room above. First thing they did when they walked in was to immediately put down a tarp so they wouldn't get anything soiled. The problem was Id & addressed. They also installed new sink fixtures in my kitchen. They were fast, efficient, clean working & friendly. I will have no problem using them again when needed.
They did a fantastic job after scheduling and work failed for both AJ Perri and Gold Medal Plumbing. They prioritized the work, given their was no heat in the apartment. They didn't complain or reject the service because a washing machine had to be moved or because I couldn't reserve parking in front of the building, like AJ Perri and Gold Medal Plumbing had. They had everything fixed quickly. Thanks again!

They showed up quickly, diagnosed the problem and provided a repair (two new hot water heaters) for a very fair price. The work was done very fast. Brian, another member of the team, didn't mind when I asked him questions about how things worked so I got to learn a little too. They also worked on our hydronic heating system and again, a very fair price and super fast work. Gamarello will be my go-to guys. Couldn't be more satisfied.

Can't say enough about how amazing Modern Dentistry is. The entire team from front desk to hygienists to owners are complete rockstars..so kind, warm & friendly. I didn't go to dentist during Covid and so after a few years after not going, I needed some dental work (deep clean, filling cavities, whitening, straightening, etc). Dr Ari & Dr Jennifer made a plan for me to get myself back on track and now my teeth are in much better shape. My favorite thing about the experience is I get super scared & anxious to get dental work done especially novocain and they provide a "Comfort Menu" where you can choose CBD drops, blanket, "Netflix & Drill", nitrous gas, etc to make the experience as best as possible and I take full advantage. They also do a tapping on my forehead when doing the novocain that makes a huge difference in my anxiety. I'll be a patient for as long as I'm in jersey city & highly recommend!

This is the best dentist (and dentists office) I have ever visited. From scheduling the appointment, to insurance paperwork to the front desk experience, the doctor's assistant and the doctor himself, everything was just great. Very friendly place and excellent quality of service and mannerism from everyone. I have been to several other dentists who kept on suggesting unnecessary X-rays and fillings. Dr was straight to the point, did not suggest anything which was unnecessary and provided excellent treatment. He has an excellent communication approach with patients which shows genuine comparison. Would definitely recommend to everyone.

I have been to a few different chiropractors as I have moved around for different jobs and lived in different places and I have to say that Dr Abrams is the best! He takes his time, uses massage, ultrasound and stim in addition to adjustments each time and if there is something particular going on, he has other tools/remedies he can use. Recently he has been helping me with a shoulder injury. I see him about twice a month for routine maintenance and to help with migraines. Dr A has also become a trusted friend and advisor over the past few years that I have been going to him. P.S. it is particularly helpful that I can always find parking right outside the office building!

She recommended at-home changes, such as improved sleeping positions and seating posture. In addition, she arranged for the office to provide a therapeutic traction device for regular use. Surprised to see anything but 5 stars here. Dr. Buchholz is super knowledgeable and helpful. Even though we moved we will still drive a long distance to see him because we trust his opinion and he provides the best care. Clean clinic, nice staff. The location is a bit annoying get to, but at least there's easy parking (private parking lot) and prices are very fair. Highly recommend!

As a first-time pet parent, I was pretty anxious after discovering my puppy had worms. I researched nearby vets with good reviews and found Heights Veterinary Associates, which is super close to me. I called them in the morning, and they were able to see my puppy that same day!
From the moment we arrived, the experience was incredible. My puppy was greeted with love and plenty of pets! Addy at the front desk was so warm, efficient, and clearly a huge animal lover (see the picture of my happy pup with her goodies!). Dr. Capelli came over to examine my puppy and was incredibly thorough. She explained everything in detail, ensuring I understood the best steps to keep my puppy healthy. Her warmth and expertise brought me so much comfort, and she answered all my questions patiently. My puppy felt totally at ease with her, which says a lot!

Not only that but the staff are incredibly nice and very patient with him. I recommend booking the next appointment right when you pick up your pet, as they can get quite busy.

Best yoga teacher - Steven Cheng I met Steven years ago when I really did not like yoga. As a busy mom and work professional, I struggled paying attention in classes before. That plus the infusion of cool music and lovely rituals at beginning and end of class really helped me better understand how yoga could help my spiritual and physical health. He's not just a yogi - he's an amazing practitioner and student of the art of yoga. And genuine amazing human being. So generous and kind!
I joined prenatal yoga with Lauren from my 1st trimester, must say she is amazing and all her techniques really help with opening up your pelvic floor and having normal delivery. The best part about her is she does not fill her sessions with so many pregnant moms, maximum only upto 4. This helps in giving you 1 to 1 attention. She also combines yoga with tuning forks which provides positive energy ?
This is my 4th consecutive week of attending James 6am class. To say that the class is “great” is an understatement. He is welcoming, knowledgeable, and leads a challenging yet calming session. 10/10 recommend for anyone at any level to practice yoga and become immersed.
The studio is nice, clean. Classes can be a little crowded. There are some good instructors who I enjoy, but I find there are some instructors who are too critical. Melissa and the owner (I think it's Gagan?) single people out. Melissa literally poked me twice with a stereo remote to make adjustments. She proceeded to stand next to me the entire class and critique everything I did. When she adjusted me I said it was "too far", she actually laughed and said out loud for the class to hear "you can do X move but not this?" I am just getting back into yoga and need a lot of practice but I shouldn't feel judged for it. I left the class nearly in tears after feeling bullied for an hour. There's ways to provide feedback while being respectful and discrete. Avoid those instructor's classes unless you're advanced, there are better instructors like Gabrielle, Mariah, or James
I visited Quantum Vita while travelling from overseas and was in some intense muscular/joint pain. The treatment I received was mindful, precise, and very knowledgeable. Reduced my pain by about 70-80% the next day, and has steadibly improved to the point where even with additional plane travel I am now almost pain free. They even messaged me the next morning after treatment to see how I was doing and offered additional care if needed. I could not recommend highly enough.

I have been seeing Brittin now for 2-3 months in an effort to decrease issues caused by what neurologists are saying is fibromyalgia. Kathy was the best instructor ! We only had two lessons together and the second one was the day of the test and i passed ! I recommend her 1000% she’s the best at what she does
