Laughing Buddha Hot Yoga - West Deptford Yoga

“As a beginner in yoga, I was apprehensive about starting something out of my comfort zone. I'm 58, portly, and non athletic. This place is so warm (no pun intended) and inviting. A no judgment zone where anyone can do as much or as little as you can. The fellow yogis are delightful and come from all walks of life. If in doubt, try it. After about 6 classes, I feel like I really want this in my life. Results are noticeable quickly. Yin yoga on Wednesday night is a fantastic starting point for any beginner.“

Tula Yoga & Wellness Yoga

“I coach a club volleyball team from upstate NY and we were in town this weekend for the NEQ volleyball tournament. I reached out to Tula to inquire about a possible private class for a team bonding activity, and they set us up with the most wonderful experience! From start to finish, we had a fantastic time! They were extremely flexible for times, answered a ton of questions, and put together a yin yoga practice that would benefit sore athletes - and even hand-picked an instructor, Bailey, who was the perfect fit for my team! Two of my girls got stuck in traffic on their way to the studio and were late, but Bailey didn’t even blink and even set up their mats and props for them. The entire team, coaches included, were incredibly relaxed afterwards and a couple even fell asleep in shavasana! Bailey hit every modification for every pose so that my less-flexible athletes (and us old coaches) could successfully and *safely* enjoy the practice. I really hope that we can book this tournament annually, and make it a tradition for the future!
Icing on the cake was supporting a small, female-owned and operated business ✨❤️
Seriously, go book your class now!“

Adrian King Massage Arts Yoga

“If you have chronic pain, or an injury, or just general aches and discomfort from overwork or posture, you should try working with this guy. I had a massage from Adrian a few months ago thanks to a gift certificate I was given last Christmas. If I could afford to, I would see him every week. Our session did go a little over time because he gave me the time I needed to try to work out where I thought my pain was coming from, and I thank him for that. He let me talk the entire time and ask him questions, which I did to try to help him figure out where the origin of my neck pain was, but he seemed to know just by feel and yeah… In one session he was able to teach me the correct range of motion for my neck when I turn it to the left. He showed me how the pain and stiffness I felt when turning my head was due to chronic bad posture. It was beyond enlightening. I try to work on my posture all the time, but I never feel like I am in control of it because I’ve never had proper posture due to a sedentary upbringing.Getting my neck to turn all the way to the left without my shoulder tightening felt like some kind of spiritual miracle, like my body has been wanting to return to some some proper state of function my whole life. He showed me how what I thought was normal when I turned by head was actually my traps straining to stabilize my head and how I actually have to go against my body’s instinct to tighten my shoulders. One day when I’m not living paycheck to paycheck I will attempt to make a regular appointment with Adrian. I have had some great massages before but not like this. This was an eye opening experience I think about months later.“

The studio is very big too.“

“They have a 5:30AM class, which works great for my schedule. The teachers have been very nice each time I visited; sometimes I do slightly different variations for the poses and they were encouraging, when I was exploring my practice/ gave me helpful pointers. Overall, it’s a nice airy studio with cubbies/hangers for your personal items. Thanks for offering an early morning class and guiding my practice!“

“I highly recommend Reiki My Yoga. I live out of state and always schedule a visit with Sae for one of her Sound Bath Meditation sessions while I am in South Jersey. I've gone to other sessions in other places and they just don't equate. I find Sae's Sound Bath Sessions to be very soothing as she leads a guided meditation joined with the healing vibrations of the large variety of singing bowls, bells, flutes, and other calming sound waves. Visiting the Reiki My Yoga studio is a great way to center yourself, heal, and recharge your energy. <3“
