“I had an excellent experience with Pete's; I strongly recommend them.
My new Blue Star refrigerator was beeping intermittently, driving us crazy, not showing any error message. Johann, the tech from Pete's, came and said, "usually, it's the sensor in the refrigerator." But this is a high tech refrigerator, so we downloaded a diagnostic file to a thumb drive and sent it to the manufacturer, and they said to replace the sensor in the freezer. Johann came back and did that: the beeping continued. Multiple diagnostic files and new parts later, Johann came back and replaced the sensor in the refrigerator. Problem solved, and now I trust Johann more than the onboard diagnostics.
Apparently, I'm the first customer in Jersey City since the pandemic. I hope they continue to include me in their service area!“

“I was recently in the market for a home espresso set up. After weeks of doing online research and wanting to test out machines in person, I found Action Coffee. I am so thankful I found this family-owned hidden gem right under my nose here in Bergen county. This was the place for me as I value good customer service. From the moment I called to see what machines they had in stock, Jim was nothing short of fantastic. He has a wealth of knowledge, is welcoming, passionate, but not pushy at all, and just an all around cool guy! When I went to check out the machine that I was interested in, I was greeted with an espresso. Jim had the machine all set up for me and walked me through how to use it. I ended up getting a Rancilio Silvia and Fiorenzato f4 Evo grinder as well as a bunch of goodies for my new set up. They also sell quality beans and supply many local cafes and restaurants. You must try their Black velvet blend. It’s excellent! I will definitely be coming back here for all of my coffee needs and recommend that all my family and friends do the same. “Had a great experience with Jimmy and his team. I recieved a call back in 2 hrs after i left a message, and was able to get an appt for the next day even though they were working on another project. Jimmy is detailed oriented, takes initiatives, and tidy with his work. For example, my thermostat was missing the C cable although it is unrelated to my problem. When i ask him about it, he has already taken care of it prior to my inquiry. I have included a picture of his team bundling the cables nicely after they did the repairs. “My Viking refrigerator stoped working, and like any of us I went on google to find a company who works specifically with my brand. I came across Top Appliance Repair which happened to be close to where I live and was able to make me an appointment the next day!
Leo showed up early and assessed the problem: he fixed it, which initially seemed simply and said " if it stops working again , I will come back and do a full service, but it's not needed unless it stops" Not pushy at all- honest - professional - a real strait shooter who I could tell knew the product inside and out. Because I had him there already I insisted to just go for it, because I had the Housekeper coming who could help us clear out the whole fridge to get into the back. Lo and behold the fridge did have an unforeseen internal problem which needed to be addressed. He took his time, thoroughly fixed everything in the Viking Fridge internals and was in no way rushing.

A truly honest, professional gentleman- I wouldn't have anyone else work on any of my appliances than this company. Ask for Leo. He's a delight.“

The techs have been on time, professional, courteous and actually don’t mind customers that ask questions. On the last visit the tech had to run through a cycle in our dishwasher to check on the part he replaced and he asked my wife and I if we had any questions about ANY of the appliances we had while he had some extra time on his hands. He didn’t go out for a smoke break or get on his cell phone.

In this day and age it’s hard to find companies that employ knowledgable, friendly, courteous people that act like they’re visiting your home instead of acting like as a customer you owe them a favor for performing the task at hand. L&J has been one company that has earned my respect for quality professional work that I would whole heartedly recommend to anybody who needs an appliance serviced.
