“My 9 year-old son has been a student with the academy (formerly Edgewater Kung Fu Academy) for the past 2 years. He enjoys the classes and has made many friends. The instructors (Sifu Romain, Sifu Robinson, and Jiao Lian Begolli) are excellent and make the classes challenging and fun. My son is excited to work towards his sash (belt) rank journey. Our family highly recommends this martial arts academy.“

“Master Lee is a phenomenal mentor and teacher. My 5 year old son has been taking his class for 3 months and is so much stronger, more focused, and disciplined than ever! My son was so excited one month after class when he was able to do the monkey bars at the playground. Master Lee is tough and sets high expectations. Earning belts is strictly based on merit and the kids feel so proud to achieve. This class is great for all ages of girls and boys. My daughter will be next as soon as she’s old enough. I highly recommend Master Ho Lee if you’re looking for Tae Kwon Do for your kids. I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience so far.“

North Bergen Mixed Martial Arts & Boxing Martial Arts Schools

“Incredible! Everyone here, from the instructors, to the owners are humble and want to help you out. I knew I wanted to be active but was not wanting to go to a traditional gym. Glad I stopped by and signed up. My favorite part is there are other people here in the same boat as me, looking to make a change and be around like minded individuals. There’s no pressure and you are never forced into contact or anything that makes you uncomfortable. It’s nice when your “no face hits” boundary is respected. 5 stars!“

“United TKD in Carlstadt is just wonderful with the children of all ages and maturity level. I have my 2 boys who are currently active. Their experience has been nothing but great! They have learned discipline, self-confidence, self control and time management. As young as 4 years old my son was able to compete in TKD competions and build confidence in himself. Master Sam and Instructor John help the children strengthen their weak points and continue to build on their strengths. I highly recommend this center!“

11AM - 8PM

139 Fulton St #706, New York
Square Circle New York Martial Arts Schools

“I went to Square Circle for a few years. I came in with absolutely no idea on how to kickbox let alone Muay Thai kickboxing. Not only did I learn kickboxing but I learned Brazilian Jujitsu as well. The instructors in both Kickboxing and BJJ are experienced fighters who professionally have completed in professional tournaments. I have made friends that I still talk to and have stayed in contact with. The school itself is well kept with the equipment and floor being sprayed and sanitized after each class. Cleanliness at a gym is utmost important and, in this facility, you will find it to be very well kept. The atmosphere during class is high energy and friendly. The instructors do an excellent job in welcoming new people and are attentive to their skill level. There is this tight bond that everyone has with each other before, during and after class. Whether you are an experienced kickboxer or have experience with BJJ or you want to learn either one I would highly recommend this school. Its friendly, knowledgeable, clean, the instructors are well experienced and the people who come to train are very diverse they come from all walks of life.“

Strong Martial Arts Martial Arts Schools

“Strong is a great gym with great teachers. I have been taking the adult kickboxing classes for over a year and I love it! The gym provides a safe, friendly atmosphere and it is amazing what a great workout you get in one hour! Students range from 16 to 60, men and women.I had worked out in other ways over the years but had never done kickboxing before. It is definitely challenging at first but in 2-3 weeks, you get in the groove for both the conditioning and the kick-boxing parts. And it's way more fun than programs like Orange Theory or just lifting weights.I highly recommend Strong Martial Arts. It really is a great workout option for all skill levels.“

Senshi Tori Mixed Martial Arts Martial Arts Schools

“Senshi Tori MMA Dojo is a FANTASTIC place to train and learn. Soke Ray and his talented instructors work very hard to make sure that all students have the opportunity to learn very useful self-defense techniques which are both practical and easy to learn in a safe and FUN environment. Bullying and intimidation is not tolerated in any way and all students new and old are treated with care and respect. Becoming a student was one of the best decisions I've ever made and I am confident that whether you are a novice looking to learn some self-defense, a veteran of MMA looking to add some new techniques or someone just looking for a fun way to stay in shape - once you see all of the unique programs Senshi Tori has to offer, you will find something that fits and you'll be hooked as well. MAUSA Health & Fitness Center Martial Arts Schools

“There is something very unique and special about this school.I've been teaching at happykicks (another martial arts school) not far from MAUSA for over thirty years. I stopped in because I've herd so many amazing things about the grandmaster who is well into his late 70s, yet he personally teaches all of the children in his school. Grandmaster Bill McCloud has the most extensive martial arts backgrounds than any other teacher in America. I was so impressed at the depth at which he was teaching his students. I've been fortunate enough to have been able to witness a few of his classes. I realized that even the parents looking on had no idea of the incredible blessings their children were receiving or how greatly it will benefit them far into their adult life. Having trained in the martial arts for over 45 years, I've seen the difference between children that are given an authentic martial arts education and those that don't. The children at MAUSA will do well in life because of this amazing grandmaster and his assistant instructor Shoko Haramura. She loves the children as much as the grandmaster and is an incredible asset to MAUSA. She also teaches two adult class Tuesday and Thursdays, and also provides private training in an impressive array of martial arts skills such as self defense, flexibility training, Tai Chi, meditation, and special weapons training such as cane, umbrellas, staffs, daggers and sword. She also has a special talent for working with the elderly. I even thinking of purchasing a package of private lessons with Instructor Shoko for my mother who's in her 80s.“
