“This is a kind, caring and efficient organization . They made my sister's passing less painful for those who loved her and knowing that she will be able to return to the ocean off the coast of Florida, which she loved, gave the family a great deal of comfort.“
“Terry provided a professional service with a comforting and emotional touch during this very difficult time for my family.“
“Thank you to Palmetto Funeral Home. When my husband passed away they were very professional and caring all the while helping me thru the process. I would recommend them to anyone needing their services“
“Thank you for doing such a great job with our service! I was so upset and tired, I kept making mistakes (obituary, etc)--but they checked and corrected it just in time. I probably asked the same questions over and over. They were so patient and kind about it. ❤️ There were sooo many other awesome things they did for us...and without even being asked.! They were genuinely watching our backs, thank goodness! I really needed that. During our very first meeting with Joseph, I couldn't even really talk, at all. I think I was in shock or something. ? I was in bad shape. We wouldn't have been able to get all of this done without Hankins and Whittington. Everything went beautifully. I knew they would since they took care of my Daddy, too--years ago. So I knew who to call for help! Highly recommend!--Neel family.“
“The staff provided compassion, caring and guidance in my battle with the grief process. They listened, they sympathized, and they understood the difficulty I was having with my wife's sudden passing.“
“National Cremation staff were incredibly kind, professional, gave options, and kept me informed of any changes. They cared for my son with compassion, and also allow viewing of your loved one in a lovely small private place, (no prep for the body, but draped and positioned), in case you want to - prior to the cremation. I have had the awful experience of losing two adult sons unexpectedly. One some time ago, and I went back to them for my other son's care. The compassion, personal care, and calm explanations helped me through those very traumatic moments, and set the path toward recovery, At the time I didn't see how much it helped me. Over the years, I realized how blessed I was to have the gift of those staff members.“
“The folks here are compassionate, thoughtful, professional, and kind. Wilson Funeral Service was very good to my family and me. They treated us with the utmost respect. I highly recommend them.“
“Tribute and Tallent did such a nice job of helping our family through a very difficult time after the passing of our mother. While our case was not complicated, it was something we’ve never dealt with. They did a terrific job of gratuitously walking us through the process, all with a sympathetic heart“
“I can’t praise Brandon Cooke with McEwen Funeral Service enough for guiding me with compassion and kindness while making arrangements for my brother.
Thank you so much for making an emotional time more bearable.“
“They handled my mother’s details with compassion, kindness And very professionally. They knew what had to be doneI. I felt like I was in good hands with them. I had been to two other funeral homes that seemed to somber for me . These people are licensed. I could not have been more pleased with them.“
“It is the Thomas Family Cemetery and includes the body of two Confederate soldiers (brothers) who where in the 53rd NC INF REG. Also there is the wife and child of one of the brothers. From the corner of the street you can see that there is ( falling apart ) wooden enter way and fence (collapsing) around the head stones . There is heavy plant growth that makes the cemetery invisible to cars and people who may go by. You could say that is on purpose to hide the Confederate head stones....but I don't think so. I would suspect that this little triangle piece of land is in private hands...as the head stones are in good shape and this is no over growth inside the fence. The history of the soldiers can be traced and is interesting. These tow may have even fought at Gettysburg. This every so small cemetery is a slice of American History. Where two brother are that gave all they were and all they were going to be“
“The staff at McEwen, especially Sue Post were kind professional and helpful in every way. My Mom and I were so blessed by all the staff members and how much they gave us more than expected as we said goodbye to our sweet cousin. We are thankful for all they did and would highly recommend their services to anyone.“
