“I love my CP location. The front desk folks always greet me by name and I always feel welcomed. Suzanne, Lauren, Moe, and Landan have the best personalities and are great instructors.“
“Balanced Physical Therapy and Pilates is wonderful. The classes are small and can be modified to be more intense or less intense depending on how you are feeling that day. The one on one Physical Therapy is the best I have ever been to. Bridget and Colleen have been fantastic at diagnosing and helping to fix the problem and/or alleviate any issues I may be having.“
“Place is definitely cool… well “Hot” but you get the idea. Like that you can book you time slot online, take a couple of 15 minute sessions and go. Secure building is a nice touch as well.**disclaimer… guys, no matter what your wife tells you, this is NOT a new taco bar. It is in fact an excellent workout spot. Enjoy!**“
“Hands down the best investment I have made for myself and my health! Laura helped me feel myself again after my 5th child was born.....I feel stronger and healthier than I have in years! Both she and Laura keep the atmosphere fun while being incredibly supportive!“
“you won't find a better yoga experi in Charlotte. Phyllis is the mind body spirit champion there. patient, empathetic, and smart“
“Michele is one of the best, if not the best, pilates instructors I have ever had (and I have tried a lot of instructors over the past 10 years). She knows her craft and is passionate about doing right by her clients. She listens and watches, carefully- in order to cater the workout to the client and not the other way around. She is a pro. Don’t hesitate to sign up and try a class. You will be really glad you did.“
“This is the best Pilates I have found in Charlotte. As a former professional dancer, I tend to be highly critical of instructors but this experience exceeded any of my expectations. Laney could spot every compensation or substitution my body tried to pull and cued and reduced resistance and repeated until I got it right. The session wasn’t a workout class but an exercise in movement efficiency and postural alignment. I left feeling taller and more balanced in my body. I highly recommend this studio.“
“Sarah is an amazing teacher and true asset to Club Pilates Dilworth. Not only does she have awesome music play lists but I really appreciate how specific she is with the importance of correct breathing during the exercises!“
“I joined in early October and love the class and my results. Christine runs a boutique style studio with small classes accommodating us based on skill. It feels like family.“
“I cannot speak highly enough about Flex5! I’ve been a member of countless gyms and have used many trainers over the past decade and none compare to Darla and Jack. They are truly invested in your well-being and progress and are so knowledgeable about wellness as a whole- not just physical strength. They continually go above and beyond, using their own personal time to research and provide guidance on personal topics we talk about during our training sessions. They honestly care about their clients and are a joy to be around. Would highly recommend!“
“Very clean, comfortable place to build your strength and well-being with one-on-one instruction by someone who is passionate about what she does and also an amazing massage therapist!“
“Heather, Katy, and the crew are exceptional instructors. Classes are innovative, challenging and fun in a beautiful studio!“
“My favorite full body workout! I’ve never had a bad instructor here and I’ve been doing these classes for years. I recently had a baby and this class has been so pivotal on building back my core muscles.“
“I joined Club Pilates in Strawberry Hill a month ago. I have joined several types of gyms/workout programs before this and have never felt as good as I do in just 4 weeks. I like the variety of instructors and difficulty they each bring. Looking forward to the changes month #2 will bring!“
“I have been doing Pilates for 7 years and it has transformed my mindset for body strength. Each and every class is different and engages the core in different ways. Every instructor I have taken classes from brings solid expertise and body awareness to teach us PROPER movement to give us the best strength through movement plus protecting us from moving incorrectly preventing injuries. I highly recommend Michelle who actually teaches the Masters Classes - she is patient, knows the technical aspect, and as a student of Pilates I want to move through each series with precision so I get the mind-body connection needed for strength, growth and physical fitness. There is not one instructor I would not take a class from here at South Providence or Strawberry Hill- these instructors are some of the best in the business!!“
“Love working out at BK! The instructors are great and the classes are challenging and fun!“
“BK was the first studio I tried upon moving to Charlotte about 8 months ago. I have attended a class with most if not all of the instructors and they are all wonderful in their own way. The class times and locations make it convenient to schedule. The locations are clean, modern and aesthetically pleasing.“
“⭐⭐⭐☆☆
Love the club, not the cost.
I've been working out at various gyms, aquatic centers, and the YMCA for years. While they all have great equipment for solo workouts, I needed something more to push past my plateau. Life Time's early morning (5:45 am) weight-lifting classes, led by Vickie and Stacey, and Lakshmi's Ashtanga yoga sessions have been fantastic for this. Their curated playlists are a nice touch too. ???
However, after being laid off, I tried to switch to a single adult membership since my family primarily uses another gym. I was disappointed to find that the Waverly location is now "signature only," meaning the cost for just myself would be nearly the same as my OG two-adult membership at $260/month. This is frustrating as I haven't used a single signature feature in my five years at LT.
I realize there is maintenance and upkeep costs, but there should be a tiered approach to the pricing. I don't need any tennis, pickleball or basketball courts; no personal trainers; or the pool for that matter. I just want to lift, shred, sweat and stretch early in the morning.
While the Waverly Life Time club is a great place to work out, without an employer discount, it costs nearly 10× more than a standard big-box gym with similar equipment. The sauna and steam room are nice but comparable to those at the YMCA or MAC. I will say the child care program is by far the best of any gym I've been to. But once the kids hit 10-12 yo they complain about boredom unless they had basketball or free gym on the gymnastics equipment.
Overall, I enjoy Life Time, but the exuberant monthly expense is pushing me towards a more economical option.
Love the gym, hate the cost.“
“What an amazing experience working with Ana! She has a wonderful bedside manner, clear and compassionate advice, and is incredibly empowering. I wasn’t sure what to expect but she made me feel right at home. Loved the physical instruction and mindset work that we covered. I’d highly recommend her.“
