“I just had to leave a review and thank the staff for their help. I sauntered in on Saturday after visiting two other opticians in the area to see if they could replace the nose pad for my THEO glasses. With each visit, I was asked to go somewhere else for help. These glasses are kind of specialized and unique. SHADES Optical happens to be a carrier of this particular brand and lucky for me, they diagnosed the issue before I even I took them off my face.The problem? A smooshed and unfortunately bent pair of glasses, no longer shaped to fit my face. To my complete shock, I had forgotten what they were supposed to feel like when properly fitted and simply went weeks (months?) wearing them at like 50% of the efficiency they should have possessed.The staff graciously (and helpfully!) took them off my face, replaced the missing pad, re-shaped and bent everything back into place, tightened the arms and polished them off in record time. Within 10 minutes, I was back in business — they once again fit amazingly and I felt a bit silly that I had gone on wearing them half crooked and falling off my nose. I wasn't even aware of my own pain, hah. The cost? No charge, just a desire to help another mildly-obsessed optical-person feel good again.We then chatted for a couple of minutes about a few other unique lines I had been looking for (which they carried!). While there, another customer walked in and dropped praise (a great sign) for SHADES. I promised them that I would be back to buy my next pair — with service this great, why not?Thanks a-million SHADES! See you soon. :-)“

“I have been going to Primary eye care for over 15 years for exams and glasses. I have been very satisfied with their professionalism. I recently had to have an adjustment of my frames. The adjustment was done and out I walked. Sometime later my wife told me that I had an indentation on each side of my head where the arms of the frames went. My glasses kept slipping and they were very uncomfortable. I went back for another adjustment and Michelle was working. Bottom line. The previous "adjustment" damaged the frame and Michelle replaced the frame and fit them perfectly to my head. I will keep going there but will make sure Michelle is working when I go. GREAT JOB Michelle.“

“I called and it was able to get an appointment the same day I called. I was shocked in a good way. The staff was super friendly and they told me my glasses would be ready in a week or so and literally the five days later they called me and my glasses were ready. I’m very happy with my purchase, and my vision is never been better with these new glasses. I was shocked at how well I could see.“

“I feel terrible about my previous negative post concerning Optik. I've been a devotee for years because Amy and Kirsten know my tastes and strive to help me discover styles they know I will like. They also always make the best use of my vision insurance. Not only are they polite and gracious, but a visit has become an enjoyable experience. I can be an enormous pain in the posterior. I reacted childishly and with rudeness over a minor issue. Not as a cop-out, but SSDI awarded me disability for that honky thing between my ears and my emotional maturity of a six-year old. It's not like I dreamed of being a head-case any more than someone in a wheelchair would make that a goal. I over-reacted and I was wrong to publicly suck my thumb and pout. It's a terrific store with a terrific staff including Dr. Joe and the volunteer work he does to improve people's lives in Africa. A sincere apology is all I can offer at this point.“

They're great with kids, and educate instead of just treat their patients.Been a patient of Dr. Becker for several years now and she's honestly one of my favorite doctors. I have lupus and am on a medication that can cause eye issues. I have to go in twice a year for screenings because of it, and it's the only doctor appointment I look forward to.They don't waste your time or talk down to you here. They're good at their jobs, and are good at the bedside manner I find to be lacking in those big name places.I highly recommend Drs Walton and Becker.“
