“From start to finish all Merrick personnel were professional and pleasant. They went above and beyond to accommodate me. When I suffered a fall injury during this time (unrelated to the construction) they sent a lovely get well gift.
My new deck was completed on time in spite of many rainy days and looks great.

“Jim did a terrific job with an assortment of tasks including installing a new exhaust vent fan and caulking a couple windows and a bathtub. Most importantly, Jim helped resolve an unexpected mold issue discovered in our kitchen ceiling. This problem was much bigger that we anticipated. Fortunately, Jim was able to expertly and professionally remove the mold, replace sections of two copper pipes with pinhole leaks, repair a compromised roof rafter, and patch up the hole in the ceiling with new drywall and paint. In the end our kitchen was as good as new! We are grateful to have found Jim to do such professional work. Not only is he timely and reliable, but he is also friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.“

“I recently had the pleasure of working with Shawn from Superior Damage Restoration to address a persistent water leak issue in a penthouse duplex unit. The problem was that water was seeping through from under the flooring and down the stairs whenever it rained. Previous contractors had incorrectly suggested that the issue was with the balcony door.Shawn and his team provided a comprehensive explanation of the root cause and took a thorough approach to resolve it. They removed the damaged flooring, waterproofed the balcony door, and even assisted with moving furniture around during the process. Despite their initial efforts, the issue persisted, but they didn't give up. “Our technician was outstanding and fast! He was professional, friendly and did a great job.

However the pricing was a bit interesting in our case. The work took 30 minutes. The job is estimated on an hourly rate, the customer has to pay for the first hour regardless, even if the technician only take 15 minutes to get it done. After the first hour your billed in 15 minutes increments unless it goes to the next hour. So, we were billed 1hr. 30 minutes for a 30 minute job on top of a $75 trip fee.
