I was looking for Korean Style nails because they focus more heavily on nail care and neat designs. She also told me she was originally certified in New York before she moved here so you KNOW she’s good. It’s been 3 weeks and there’s no peeling and all my gems are still on! Most importantly, the edges between my nails and polish don’t pull my hair when I touch it :) All of this is a result of not cutting corners and solid handiwork. Thank you!!!

Moving to Frederick from San Diego, CA it took me a while to find a good lash place that actually knew what they were doing and didn’t charge an arm and a leg to do it! I’ve come across many people who JUST finished their training and have the audacity to charge the equivalent of a pro!! Sofia knows exactly what she’s doing! You can tell her what you want and she understands, explains, and gets it right every time. She has made a loyal customer out of me. I initially came to get my lashes done before vacation, but she did such an amazing job that I’ve been coming back ever since. You can tell she cares about the quality of her work. Alice is a very professional hair stylist. Today she did my daughters hair and was very polite and patient with her. Alice was vey easy to communicate with s I knew very little about braids and what i wanted her to get. She answered all my questions before I even booked with her sent me pictures of different designs and help me pick what was best for my daughter. So far I have just had my bridal make-up trial with Gina but she was amazing! (She is doing my make-up, as well as 5 bridesmaids and 1 mother for a wedding in October. Will update the review then). Gina was incredibly knowledgeable and talented with make-up. She matched the reference photo perfectly. She was personable and made the process fun! Highly recommend!

UPDATE: I went back for color and had a great experience. I have been coloring my hair for years and have decided I'm ready to transition to my natural silvery color. Since I have been using dark color, the transition requires a thoughtful approach. I was really very happy with the outcome. Danielle clearly cares about her craft and I left with very dimensional color that eliminated that hard demarcation line. I would highly recommend for color.

I am almost 45 years old and Donita is the first stylist that listened to what I wanted and cut my curly hair properly. She also taught me how to do it myself and what products to avoid. While it is a process, she broke it down in easy to follow steps. I'm on week two of doing it myself and already am getting the hang of it. I used to really hate my hair and styling would only last one day. Now it lasts 5+ days! I highly recommend and she will be the only person to cut my hair as long as I live a drive away!

Lisa is fantastic, only one chair and she is the woman who does the magic to your hair. I have been to multiple barbershops in Frederick and do not need to keep searching any longer. My bar is high as I have had a barber in MOCO for 15+ years. Lisa did everything I have come to expect and more when getting my haircut. This was my first time going to The Barber Shack and will definitively not be the last. Expect me and my sons there for years to come. I hope to test your tough skin theory. Until the next haircut...

Awesome experience. I was a walk in, it wasn’t busy and Dan took me on for a haircut!! The shop is full of vintage art and furniture! Dan was friendly, asked questions about the style I was looking for and let me see the progress and give feedback! Had my haircut by a gentleman named Stan. I was very pleased with the cut. I got a mohawk fade and a beard touchup. I was able to show him a picture of what I wanted and he matched it perfectly
After trying many other salons and barbershops, this is the place where my teenage son finally found the haircut and fade of his dreams. Their prices are reasonable, the shop is pretty trendy, sort of industrial. And we always laugh because they don't waste time with a lot of chitchat and small talk. In the case of my son and husband, they absolutely love that they are not pulled into awkward small talk. Don't get me wrong, they are perfectly professional and polite, but it is all business. Great shop, talented barbers, definitely recommend.
I live right down the street. I typically walk in all of the barbers there always give me a good fade and touch up my beard. They normally have the news or a sports game on. The place is clean and reasonably priced and the barbers are friendly.
Had appoint to get braids taken out, washed, and cut. I had the appointment with one stylist Ashley, and another to do the cut n style, her name is Kenni. These 2 girls were awesome! I loved the conversations, and they were very polite and graciously professional. Best haircut I've had in thirty years. Fast and exactly what I wanted. Also shaved the back of my neck which hasn't happened since I left the military. I also lucked into Senior Citizen hours (Wed 10-2) and got a discount.
I was out for a random walk on a Saturday morning and saw this place opened at 0700 and thought why not. What a great decision. Service was great. Cut was solid. I've been back a few times since then. This will probably become my primary barber shop. Great set up and location. I look forward to being a repeat customer
I have been going there for years. My hair needs aren't too complex but they always do a good job. Also, they seem to work well with little boys getting their first haircuts!

I take my son here exclusively for Amanda to gently and precisely cut my son's thick hair with multiple cowlicks.
If you call in the morning you can usually get an appointment in the evening same day and they almost always run on time. Walk-ins welcome too.

She even does my daughter's trims. Plenty of ladies go here too for full service.
For the past year I have been going from barbershop to barbershop in Frederick, trying to get a decent haircut. Some places were ok but not great, others I walked out looking like I had been attacked with a weed whacker. So it was with some trepidation that I stumbled into The Affiliated this afternoon. Nate's Barbershop is one of a kind in my eyes! First of all, the name "Nate" represents and symbolizes, in my eyes, FAMILY. Nate is my Brothers Name and my brother and I are very close today. I try to treat Nates Barbershop like I do my brother. Loyalty, Positivity, Personable, Professional are some words that come to mind. Next, a haircut to me is a whole experience. I thoroughly enjoy it. It's a form of Self Care for me. It helps my physical health with improving my physical appearance. I can relax my mind, I can think and meditate, which helps my overall mental health. It is literally a head massage, and my favorite Stylist and/or Barber to go to is Michelle, but everybody that I have gone to is very nice, personable, respectful, professional and most importantly to me is that they remember customers names and hairstyles or preferred haircuts.
I just had my third visit to see Lunneh and this is becoming a problem. I'm getting more and more compliments on my hair and I hate attention. Even worse, my girlfriend won't leave me alone, because I look too good. So if you like having my problems, go see Lunneh. She'll change you for the better.

She made it so easy and very clearly explained the before and after care that helped my tan last and look great for my event! She also created the perfect formula for me. (I am naturally very pale). Nicole and her team are the most genuinely kind and talented nail friends. I have a blast coming in for my appointments, we laugh and talk and the work they do is always flawless. The most honest and most amazing salon i have ever been to. Last week I had a special occasion and selected an extravagant nail style. I went back ready to remove it and Queenie being as honest as she is did a complete make over, using the almost new nails and transformed my nails without over charging. I was ready to pay for removing and getting a more basic set. I love it when I see people loving their jobs and doing the right thing even when the customer has no clue. Strongly recommend this salon. Thanks for the honesty and the great job.

10/10 highly recommended. They give you the whole Princess treatment if you’re getting your manicure and your pedicure done ( they would add your acrylic nails why are you getting your toes done, then finish your nail after your done. That was a huge time saver. There really friendly and has and open space. They make you wash your hands when you first step into the salon. Because they actually care about your nail they try to make a follow up appointment with you, but that also means they can get busy must of the time

This was my first time getting any treatments and I am thrilled with the entire experience and the look of my lashes. She was extremely gentle on the lashes and I had no pain or irritation during or after my lash lift+tint appointment. The head spa with madison was so relaxing and informative and she knew exactly what to do to help with my oily scalp. And the head massage was amazing made me want to fall asleep 100% would recommend and do again.

I've been inside there and are related to 2 people that work there so There are 3 chairs if you need to sit down, there is a T.V. if you get bored a Microwave if you bring food and need to warm it up and refrigerator if you feel like you need to refrigerate a drink or something, Bathroom all in the side room there and is 4 beauty chairs you can sit in when they do your make-up or Hair and there's a room in the back wih 3 chairs if you want your hair washed and 3 if you need to dry your hair also the prices are low and they do eyelashes, eyebrows, hair, plus the front desk people are also super friendly as well but you usually have to make an appointment on the phone because the people that work there work on there own time

I started visiting My Red Bow [MRB] about 12 years ago. It's an easy location to get to. The space is cozy, warm, and welcoming. The rooms are comfortable. Other places have such small rooms, it's claustrophobic and this is definitely NOT the case at MRB. In addtion, I've always felt whether I go with a female masseuse or Frank, MRB masseuses are always sensitive to my needs. I also like the ease of making online appts.
OMG I took off work to get a massage here. Let me tell you the experience was amazing. I had Jessica for my massage. She was fabulous. She gave me the very best massage that I ever had in my life and I’ve had lots of massages. Jessica used cupping on me and my back feels amazing. I had Nina for my facial. Nina’s facial was so relaxing I fell asleep. Let’s just say my face looks amazing. I drove 45 minutes to try this place out and let’s just say it was worth the drive and I will be back to get a massage from Jessica and a facial from Nina.

What can I say? Just amazing! I've gotten many full body massages but none of them compared to this. I got a hand massage, reflexology, facial, and a pedicure. I've never felt so pampered. Lori is very meticulous and I felt like each toe was getting its own attention and treatment. My toes look perfect! This sounds crazy but my feet look happy lol. I was even falling asleep during the reflexology. With the facial, it felt like my face was floating off my body. I will DEFINATELY be back and will recommend to others!
I get a facial twice yearly with Laura and she does a wonderful treatment on my aged, Sun damaged skin (we didn't know better when we were growing up). I have some sensitivities like flowers smells and I told Laura and she worked on me without one itch or sneeze from me.....she goes above and beyond in a relaxing and peaceful way. Having a facial is such a treat! I think the rate is quite reasonable. The spa is on the north side of Rosemont Avenue and there is a parking lot in the back, so driving west on Rosemont take a right on Lee Place and left onto the alley. Wear comfy clothes and don't wash your hair beforehand since you'll need to do that later in the day. Just saying. Love you, Laura!

I recently had my eyebrows done at Threaded by Melissa, and I could not be happier! I've had my brows threaded a few times, and this was by far the best experience I've had. They turned out beautifully, and Melissa is extremely gentle. I have sensitive skin, so I usually don't like to run errands afterward, but I was good to go! I will definitely be back!

Just got the first part of a sleeve James is piecing together for me that involves covering up 3 tattoos that are very dark and working around a couple others. The laid back atmosphere and chill personalities of the artists made the time fly by, while still being clean and professional. My wife has also had work done by both James and Olivia that involved very fine line work that they both did a phenomenal job on. Definitely one of the best tattoo shops I've been to. Classic electric gave me the tattoo experience everyone wants. I came in with a grand idea, met my dude Este, and over the course of half a year he gave me the forearm wrap I've always wanted. He is extremely talented, flexible and kind. He drew all the artwork himself, made revisions, rolled with the punches, and had me sit for multiple long sessions. In the end I've got the exact piece I've always wanted, I can't look at my own wrist without smiling. As a bonus, these guys remember your face and make you feel like a long lost friend every time you come in. There were three men. Unfortunately, the only one I know is Frank Minor. But all three of them were great. They started the job on Monday and saw it through to the end on Tuesday morning. The job involved not only replacing our wellpump but also replacing the pitless connection.
The work involved a lot of digging and physical work and they did it excellently.
They explained to us very carefully what needed to be done and showed us the damaged parts that they had to replace. The main problem that they had to overcome was that our pump and associated hardware was over 30 years old. But they did it and they did it expertly and quickly.
All three of them were very personable and professional. I would definitely take any new plumbing problem I have in the future to them. Thanks guys!

He has a personal commitment to give Seniors a break on their bills (even though that means less profit for him) and that is evident by the most generous discount he gives (speaking from experience). We called Brandenburg after we blew a junction box trying to install a light fixture. Mike came to the house found and fixed the multiple problems we'd caused as well as some that came with the house. He diligently searched for and finally found the missing junction box and was still efficient, affordable and friendly.

Our contractor, David’s Remodeling, sent us to Apache to get flooring. Our contractor has never ever led us wrong so we did have high expectations. Immediately Ashley welcomed my son and I into the building and walked me around different LVP options, looked at my pictures, compared colors with the kitchen cabinet door I brought with me. She was articulate in her knowledge of the products and made it easy for me to feel like I had made an excellent choice! Key City Contractors did a great job on various home improvement projects from replacing a set of exterior stairs, repairing wood siding, deck boards and exterior door painting including new door seals.Interior projects included painting kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, installing new pulls, replacing insulation and general painting. They also coordinated replacing hot water heater, reconfiguring water filter piping and installing new light fixtures. Oh and wait there's more.... they also installed metal railings on my interior staircase replacing the wood pickets... love them!Key City was responsive and made sure I was happy with the work completed. I'm having them come back for a new honey-do list in the Spring!

I truly can't say enough positive things about Hank and HH Homes. We had a major issue in my house with a bathfitter that was never installed properly. We had water damage and water was pouring to our first floor from the poorly constructed bathfitter. From the get go, Hank was really prompt with his responses and willingness to come take a look. Other companies I talked to were not very responsive, and even sent quotes missing details we discussed. Hank was responsive, detail oriented, and up for the challenge of the unique and non standard tile choices we had. We converted the bathfitter/tub into a standalone shower, and the result is an awesome spa-like finish that is exactly what we were looking for. I highly recommend Hank and HH Homes for any remodeling project! I will definitely be calling him again for future projects.

Bucheimer remodeled our kitchen and painted most of the first floor. The kitchen looks fabulous! We're very pleased with the job, so much so that we just recently contracted them to finish our basement this spring. The contracts for both jobs laid out the plans, the scope of the work, and a timetable for inspections and payments. They completed the work in a timely fashion and the pay schedule was very reasonable. All the employees were very respectful and pleasant. We highly recommend them!

Mark has been absolutely helpful with all of the rented properties I have been at, also friends and family I have refered. The first place I ever used Mark's services was unfortunately infested with bedbugs. Thankfully I only started to move in, at first I was using the 90% alcohol to douse the carpets, corners, and creases of bed with, which only pushed em into a wood frame n chair I had. Dr. Cassie and all the staff are amazing! I go for my back and neck but one day I jammed a finger and she fixed that too! The relief is instant every time I go and my daughter and I look forward to each visit. She had curvature of the spine for years and was being followed by John's Hopkins orthopedic office until I brought her in. Her next checkup her spine was completely straight!
Both Dr. Deschamps and Dr. Bisset have been very helpful to me and my family over the years. Most notably for myself was when one of my ribs popped out of place and was quite painful, until Dr. Bisset put it back in place. She's knowledgeable, gentle yet firm, and very affordable. I can’t recommend Dr. Rob enough. I was a bit nervous going into my first chiropractor visit but Dr. Rob eased all of that through our convo and first few visits. Through two visits and a few daily stretches, I feel like a new person daily. If you’re thinking about it…just pull the trigger, you won’t be disappointed!

I can't say enough how thankful I am to have found Dr. Beech. I have been having back issues for years and recently it has gotten worse. So much so that on a Saturday morning, I woke up and couldn't stand on my right leg. The pain was terrible. I finally decided to google and call around to chiropractors that were open, hoping for a possible cancelation. When I called, I told them what was wrong and the receptionist told me she was sorry, that they didn't have anything available. Well, they ended up calling me right back and told me that they would take me. I was so thankful. Dr. Beech was booked full but took me after all of his patients, just to help me because he cared. I will be forever thankful for his generosity and kindness. Dr. Beech is unlike any other doctor. He is passionate about his career and helping others. He is incredibly intelligent and genuinely loves what he does. He got to the root of my issues and knows exactly how to help me. In just 2 appointments, I have learned so much. I wanted to thank Dr. MacDonald for being such a blessing during a difficult time. I was dealing with the passing of my mother and experiencing such high inflammation and back spasms as a result. Her care helped me through that time so significantly. So glad I found her office and thankful for her help during that time. She was gentle, knowledgeable, professional and efficient. Dr. Liotta seems very knowledgeable & competent. She explained things well. She is a bit lacking in warmth & bedside manner, almost robotic.
I have never been a proponent of cosmetic surgery, however after years of heavy eyelids, bags under my eyes and a constant tired feeling I had two lengthy consultations with Dr. To, who changed my mind based on his approach and conservative style. Twenty days ago I had four procedures in the areas of my eyelids, brow and orbital region, and today the tapes and glue were removed. I cannot express how pleased I am with the results. The scarring is almost unnoticeable and the difference is remarkabl. My eyes are completely open and I literally feel like a new man! This was a great experience after a devastating week of loosing our other baby to HCM. They were able to fit us in the same say(due to a cancellation). From the time I walked in and saw Loki’s name on their welcome board I knew he was in good hands. They were quick to put a plan in action and were very sensitive to my situation. We have had a few emergencies with our kitties, and your practice has been very supportive. My fiance's family and I bring 6 pets to West Frederick Vet for routine care. We appreciate how caring the Doctors and technicians are. I also really appreciate how kind and accommodating the person at the front desk is. There have been times I needed to cancel an appointment due to my cat escaping, and you have been very understanding. One gesture that showed me that you care was when I could not bring my cat's stool sample promptly, and the Dr. just gave me a new container so I could collect it whenever possible since I had already paid for it. I love my pets as they are part of our family, and I feel so thankful that I live a 3-minute drive from your practice. It means a lot knowing your team is there when we need help.
Our puppy at 5 months old fractured her tibial turberosity and Skylos was the first recommended surgery clinic on the list from our vet. I am so happy we put our faith into Dr. Kennedy and the staff at Skylos, they have been nothing but wonderful and knowledgable. They always remember our pup when we’ve brought her in for rechecks since. We are 6-weeks post-op and couldn’t be happier with the results of our Regi girl’s surgery and care. They made a very stressful situation so much easier for us to manage with their guidance. Surgery isn’t something everyone can afford, so I totally recommend pet insurance! Our surgery was 5k total (including medications, follow up appts) and insurance covered 4k.

I've brought both of my pups here, one for stomach issues (which was solved) and one for a follow up paw webbing ripping. Both doctors were kind and offered the best possible treatment for my babies, they also don't charge an arm and a leg!!! Highly recommend.

McClellan is the only place I found in Frederick that can issue International Health Certificates for pet travel. The price was very very reasonable, and the staff was incredibly nice and helpful. They understand how stressful it can be to obtain the certificate, especially considering it's only valid for 7 days before travel, including potential USDA delays. I really appreciate all their help!
Dr. Kellogg was very patient and knowledgeable about the requirements and timelines for the international health certificate. This process took about 6 months, from the initial vaccine to the final examination and USDA endorsement. He even tracked recent changes that took effect just two weeks before my travel. Thanks to Dr. Kellogg and the team, I got the certificate on time and was able to bring my cat overseas without any issues!
I was hesitant to come here a few years ago because of mixed reviews, but we are 3 years in and have only had positive experiences. Dan is my dog's current groomer and she loves him. He does a great job. The staff behind the front desk are very friendly. Prices have gone up a bit in the last few years, but I will continue to go here because of how comfortable my dog seems to be and each visit goes well! I also want to note that about a year ago my dog stepped in tree sap and it completely messed up the pad of her paw. Happy Dog made room for her in the schedule to take care of this as I expressed concern because the pad of her paw had a small tear. They cleaned and fixed her paw up flawlessly. I appreciate how kind they are to her!

Great! But it gets difficult to make an appointment or cancel one unless by phone or in person. The services listed online don't always unfortunately match the ones needed such as baths or brushing.Beyond that they handle with care, and they were always patient.

I have attended the free Sol Yoga classes at 7am on Thursday mornings at Carroll Creek Outdoor Amphitheater. This is located under the white tents right on Carrol Creek. Frederick is at it's most peaceful at this time of morning as the sun quietly rises and welcomes the day. Different instructors run each of the classes and all of them are amazing. You are guided to listen to your body and work within your comfort zone. The class ends with a calming gong and flute serenade provided by local musicians. There is ample parking at this time of day. Most people arrive early, some trickle in. There is always ample space to attend. Bring your own mat and water. Come experience one of the reasons Frederick is such an amazing place to live! After years of seeing different doctors who wanted to do invasive work or not actually look at less drastic ideas. Years of chiropractic work. I went and saw ally. I am not a massage guy I had exactly 1 before seeing her. I can tell you 100% if you have aches pain misalignment you will forever be greatful. I have no more pain my body is more aligned than it's ever been and it allows me to live my life as a better person. If you have an injury or tight muscles or a weird leg pain that seems not not leave di yourself a favor and at least go see her and see what happens. I have yet to send someone to her and then not say they feel much better after than they did before they got there. Trust as a person who does physical work and though massage work is for relaxation it can be incredibly healing to your tight, sore, or body you feel is not moving like you expect.
Prenatal massage was excellent. I was in so much pain due to being 9 months pregnant and they got me relaxed enough to sleep that evening.
Hetta is amazing. For anyone who likes super light pressure, she is the best. It seems like she actually pays attention to what is going on with your muscles and doesn’t just go through the motions.

I am so fortunate to be revisiting my trusted friend and master sports physical therapist Mark Acierno and his great team at NovaCare Rehabilitation, 84 Thomas Johnson Court. They are the best in Frederick, or anywhere. Mark gave me an awesome game plan to treat a flare up of osteoarthritis in my right knee. He and Faryn Dunn are so upbeat with their positive reinforcement, pushing me to engage accompanying muscles and my core as well as my knee. Thanks to Team Mark I have made great strides in a short time and look forward to reaping those results on the golf course again. Also, many people say Rita’s has the best ice in Frederick. I disagree. Team Mark serves the best ice in Frederick, hands down. This is by far THE BEST place to go if you need any type of physical therapy!! I'm going for CMC (arthritis in my basal joint, or hand/thumb) & JOSH is the one treating me there.. His hand knowledge is impeccable! On my 1st visit, he explained everything about CMC to me, like why I have pain, what's causing the pain & how he's going to treat the pain. He answered all of my 100 questions so that I would understand all that's going on. I went to a PT for my knee at "a place in Crestwood," & I felt so uncomfortable there that after 3 visits, I didn't go back.At Frederick Health - Aspen Ridge, it is totally different, I'm talking night & day differently! He is AMAZING!! The great vibe & treatment starts as soon as you walk in the front door & it just flows into the treatment area! It sucks to be in pain as it is, & the last thing you need is to be treated badly! So if you need PT, you need to go to Frederick Health-Aspen Ridge! All of the people there are without a doubt a "Ray of Sunshine" & that's what you need when you're in pain. Thank you, Frederick Health -Aspen Ridge, for making my day that much better!!!

I had to hop on here immediately. And brag about my hand surgeon. Dr Steve Horton and the girls at the front desk at 184 Thomas Johnson drive, I had to go back to the office after my visit with him today and have a form completed for work and when doing so I got out of the car and dropped all of my forms, when I did I fell trying to hurry and pick them all up they went every where!!! And of course in doing so I fell on my right hand that I just had surgery on, Dr Horton and his team rushed outside to come to my aide, they are truly amazing!!!! I would recommend him over and over again. His bedside manner is unmatched and he always has a smile on, to say he is amazing as his craft would be an understatement!!! Dr. Gao has been my acupuncturist for years. She is amazing! She has helped me with back issues, migraines, shin splints, muscle spasms, and probably a few other things I am forgetting. Dr. Gao listens and makes sure you are comfortable. The relief I have felt has made a huge difference in my life.
