Alter Ego is amazing! The color/ cut and pampering are on point every time. I didn’t think they could get any better until they added the Yume Head Spa. Caylin did an amazing job creating the perfect environment. Everything from the super relaxing chair to the scalp massage , personalized hair products and steam treatment were just amazing. Definitely worth it!

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the YUME scalp treatment at Alter Ego Hair Salon in Frederick, MD, courtesy of Erin. The one-hour session was not only incredibly relaxing, but every aspect of the experience was thoughtfully curated. From the soothing ambiance created by dimmed lights and soft music to the delightful scents and textures used throughout, it was a sensory delight. I highly recommend treating yourself or a loved one to this special and rejuvenating experience. Erin's expertise and the overall atmosphere at Alter Ego make it a must-try.

Able to squeeze me in same day and staff was willing to talk my hair ideas through in detail before starting without me ever feeling rushed along. Got my hair cut and colored just the way I wanted (took two color coats to get the color I was looking for) and I left feeling great about my new look. The owner Erin is particularly lovely. Highly recommend!
