Had tried a couple of other places who declined to help as I was not a patient. Dr. Nastaran set aside business protocol to give patient protocol a priority. “After years of dreading getting my annual eye exam, I finally had an amazing experience! Dr. Dunn is very clearly excited about his job and explains everything he’s doing and the context behind it (which I really appreciated). He’s super knowledgeable and this will make you feel at ease. I called before my appointment to see if they took my insurance - they did - which was a huge relief since other places in DC didn’t. I made my appt two days in advance but there were some even sooner! Highly recommend Dr. Dunn!I did have a slightly strange experience before I saw Dr. Dunn when sharing I didn’t have any family medical history since I was adopted. (I totally understand that some people don’t know how to react to that, I just haven’t experienced that at a medical type appointment before) Hopefully my response provided some good awareness for how not to react next time - and that being adopted isn’t always sad - and will be great to keep in mind for the next appointment when someone may have a similar background! All in all, a great experience.“
