Baltimore“I adopted a teenage puppy who had lots of leash reactivity and lots of pulling. Denise was the 2nd trainer we worked with and since working with Denise, he's made huge progress! He would lunge and bark at everything from a cart to a recycle bin to a tall branch hanging over the fence. After determining the right tool that worked for me and him, and working through some of my own anxieties with him, I feel more confident walking him and he is much easier to handle. Me and him still have work to do, (practice makes perfect!) but I feel like I can breath when I take him out of my house and I no longer worry about the big feelings and reactivity that he had towards any and everything. Thanks to Denise, my teenage puppy might just make it to his humans sports events one day!“

3724 Woodland Cir, Falls Church“We cannot speak highly enough of Keri and Unleashed Abilities. Over the last 15 years, we have been lucky enough to work with Keri with each of our three rescue dogs. Keri proved herself to be nothing short of a miracle worker when working with us and our first dog - a desert dog from the Middle East (who earned the name “Wild Dog” from his rescuers). To say he needed a lot of training would be an understatement, but after a few months with Keri, he settled into life with us and was the absolute best boy.We are currently working on training our newest rescue dog. Keri gives such great guidance that we saw a remarkable effect after just the first session. As we’ve continued to work together, his behavior and leash manners have improved immensely. Keri is wonderful at modeling how we can work with him and gives us clear “homework” to work on between sessions. She also has great rapport with dogs - he absolutely adores her and even our nervous older dog is instantly at ease with her. She is quick to respond if we have questions between sessions and we have always felt very supported. We highly recommend Keri and Unleashed Abilities!“

When we started, Crouton could only stay alone for mere seconds before getting anxious. But thanks to Toni’s expertise and patience, Crouton can now comfortably stay alone for up to 3 hours. This is a huge achievement, and we’re beyond grateful for Toni’s dedication and personalized approach. If you’re looking for a trainer who truly understands dogs and can deliver real results, Toni at Well Done Charlie is the best choice!“

I took an assignment in the area and moved from Detroit for almost 9 months with my dog. I knew nothing about the area, but I googled daycares this business and another one came up. I love two way. They are so loving and caring. There is so much sincerity and genuine love and care for our fur babies. They are super accommodating and even opened early for me one day because of work constraints. My dog Gizmo LOVES it there. We will really miss two way as we pack up to head home to Detroit. Thanks for everything Two-Way team!“

Brittany works so hard to make sure Bailey is taken care of. She is always on top of our regularly scheduled walks and has watched Bailey overnight (Bailey comes home happy as can be). I love getting Bailey's daily walk reports where Brittany writes how the walk went, what type of "business" was done, and includes the most adorable pictures. I highly recommend Brittany, she is the best there is!“

(And, a tired, well-exercised dog (see photos) is a happy owner, me!) Joe also incredibly responsive when I had urgent situation and needed someone to help out with Ellie. I’ve been really happy with DogOn Fitness, and the fact that Dave seems to be able to handle my muscular, intense girl, with love, belly rubs, and a calm demeanor gives me peace of mind. Total trust is rare gift.“

6719 Lowell Ave, McLean“The staff here is amazing and my family has a long-standing relationship with them. Indy, my parents Vizsla who unfortunately recently passed, stayed here whenever my parents were out of town. In her younger years, Indy would do doggy daycare… sometimes three times a week even. We never had a bad situation. More recently, my GSP, Duke, has been boarded here about four times of various stays. Every prior location Duke was boarded, he would come back sad and act as if I abandoned him. At CCC, he is excited to see me but has no resentment towards me for leaving him. The staff is well trained, the animals are well taken care of, and I do not stress about Duke when I occasionally leave town. Thanks CCC for the great care!“
“I had a very dog-reactive Miniature Schnauzer and came to MS Lisa Daniel for help in overcoming his reactivity when seeing other dogs. She was essential in training ME and in dealing with specific situations related to my dogs reactive behavior. I am delighted to say that my Shadow and I have used the tools that MS Daniel taught us to overcome and manage the situations in all kinds of environments and that we are successful in walking in our neighborhood, going into the dog parks, doing events and are just 100% poised as happy partners in our lives.I'm grateful and would recommend her training techniques and expertise to those who care to better their relationship with a canine partner.I'm forever inspired by what she taught me and through her, what she has taught Shadow.“

1632 17th St NW, Washington“Usually I would not write the review until the service is complete (I pick up Miss Kitty tomorrow morning) but I just have to let the world know what a blessing it was that I found CKCR. Miss Kitty's previous "owner" died in March and her family could not take her in. We connected "by accident" on FB in June, and we've now been together, slowly adjusting, for just four months.
Meanwhile, after several challenging/failed attempts to get her into her carrier so we could leave for a building exterminator appointment, and after cancelling several appointments, I worked with her treats for a week and she walked easily into the carrier. But the appt was delayed four hours after I had already gotten her into the carrier, and we would need to be gone from the apartment for four hours after that. I was so worried about her being in the carrier for so long that I started crying, quite to my surprise. A dear friend suggested that I findi a boarding service so she could be comfortable during the time.
Thank you, Google maps!. I was so grateful to get CKCR on the phone. Bridget called me right back and guided me through the intake process, including making sure we had documentation of shots & spaying. I had her records, but not everything was clear at first. Bridget was so kind and reassuring, as I was crying on and off during the conversation. (Lot's of old feelings to process later on!) She also suggested several things, like a piece of clothing with my scent I could bring to help Miss Kitty feel at home. I felt so relieved.
CKCR is less than a mile away, and another dear friend was available to drive me and Miss Kitty, with Kitty meow/howling and me crying on and off! When we got there, we were so warmly welcomed by Bridget, who showed us Miss Kitty's "condo" and set it all up with food, litter, and the "comfy" items I had brought. I also saw a fabulous play area and she assured me that Miss Kitty will be fine and she will send pictures. I also watched as Miss Kitty tried to dash off when Bridget opened the carrier, and Bridget simply reached under her belly and guided her into the condo. I did not know how to do that! I am so relieved and grateful, and thank the Universe for this blessed gift! And I feel very sure that anything I add to this tomorrow morning will be nothing but positive.“

4904 Wisconsin Ave NW, Washington“Happy paws has taken such good care of our dog during day care and for boarding. Our dog loves all the people who work there and they clearly love him back. John the lead trainer has given me very helpful behavioral and training tips when asked, and they also recently started working on skills with the dogs in daycare. I can’t say enough positive words about Happy paws.“
“Tom is awesome! So easy to work with and made incredible progress with our rescue dog in a short period of time.“
