My husband and I are planning a vacation with our 9-month-old energetic puppy, Kona, who will be flying for the first time. We contacted Tom for his expertise, opting for the 'puppy & obedience' package. In our initial one-hour consultation, Kona excelled, and Tom effectively covered a lot. We're considering the next package with three sessions to prepare Kona for the flight, gradually progressing upon our return from the trip.

Tom is a fantastic dog trainer! My boyfriend and I recently got a puppy (Greater Swiss Mountain Dog) and wanted to get him started on training as soon as we could since we got our puppy at 11 weeks. Tom was super responsive when scheduling and had flexible hours to accommodate our work schedules. With Tom’s training our puppy picked up the basic commands during our sessions as Tom would first introduce the command to our pup and then once our pup understood what to do, Tom let us practice in front of him to make sure we were following through correctly. Tom helped us with our Australian Cattle Dog, Alfie, who was about 2 when we adopted him. Alfie was socialized somewhat but had no basic skills or leash manners since he spent the first part of his life tied to a tree. We scheduled multiple visits with Tom over several weeks and Alfie learned all of the basics and some fun tricks, too. Walking on the leash with Tom was a huge help, since Alfie pulls and is somewhat dog reactive. Tom even recommended collars and treats/toys for Alfie that have been really useful. Tom's methodology is consistent, patient, and very effective. We look forward to continuing to work with Tom!
