From the first time I met Shira, I knew she was what I was looking for. My boyfriend and I made an appointment with Shira, because we needed a lot of help with our hair. My hair color was ashy that didn't suit me. It was also dry and damage with alot of breakage. My boyfriend hair was uneven with no shaping at all. Shira sat us down, examine our hair, and ask questions. Not only does she listen to your exact needs and wants, but she ensures that what you are envisioning will actually work for your hair type, face shape, and skin tone. I love that Shira is honest. She listens to what we want, but then also digs a bit deeper to determine the level of upkeep and goals. Shira went above and beyond to make sure our hair looked fabulous. The head massage during our shampoo session was pure heaven. We never felt so pampered and confident leaving a salon before. Shira chose my hair color that made me look 10 years younger, and treated my hair. My hair never felt so healthy! I love the outcome so much, that I had to tell my friends and family. Also, my boyfriend haircut looks so good, that I cannot stop starring at him. She's so talented and you can feel her energy that's she's passionate and caring. We are forever loyal to her.
I thoroughly enjoyed my deep tissue back massage. Dominika came to me and insisted on doing all the setup work herself even though I offered to help. She couldn’t have been more kind and knowledgeable with all the questions I asked (and I had plenty! Lol).
Overall it was a very soothing and relaxing experience that made for a great night’s sleep. I plan on using “Just like ours beauty” services again.

My friend and I came here to get our nails done for graduation and had a great experience. We both got acrylic sets and pedicures and I added chrome to my nails which looked great. The staff was very attentive, offered us drinks, and did an amazing job with both of our nails. They are perfectionists and even restarted my nails after they finished my first hand because they were not satisfied with how they looked even though I still thought they looked great, so I really appreciated that. I would definitely come again!

For about 15 years I had Brazilian blowouts on my naturally curly hair. However, Louisiana is not a "blowout friendly state." Time to go back to what's natural, but something I had no idea how to do. Came to Felicia in a desperate state of out-of-control curls. One look and her response was, "Your curls are crowded." From there she set to work moisturizing my very dry hair, explaining products that could work on my hair texture, and future day-to-day care for my hair. It all was very easy to understand and to incorporate into my routine. The appointment took about two hours - there was a LOT of thinning and trimming to be done - but the result was a fantastic cut that even someone as untalented as I can maintain. And my hair feels so much better.

The tour guides were very friendly and knowledgeable and I enjoyed the information that they gave us. It did take quite a while to get around the whole route. I got off in a couple of spots but if you missed the bus, it's a 20 minute wait and unfortunately it was really hot today. I wish they had some air conditioning on the bus because it was a blistering hot day and made iit uncomfortable. The seats on the bus were really uncomfortable. I had a sore back after sitting in one for about 15 minutes.

As a woman, I have to admit I was a little nervous getting my hair cut by someone I saw described as a barber but I ended up so happy with my cut. I came in with a frumpy, dated looking bob and walked out with a very cute and stylish one. Tommy listened to my preferences and had his own very good suggestions and I came out looking like a million bucks. The man knows what he's doing when it comes to cutting hair. He also seems like a really nice person AND has online booking.
Nehaya is an absolute wonder. She took my hair from dry, brittle and flat, to my curls that I have had my whole life. After doing a big chop, I didn't really know how to take care of my hair and neglected it as it was short and low maintence. With my hair growing out and me not knowing what to do, she guided me through the process and was so helpful and caring throughout. My hair truly has never felt better. If you have curly hair and don't know where to go- start here and I promise you won't need to go anywhere else!
I cannot say enough good things about this place. We walked in to get our teenaged sons haircuts. The owner, Mike, was so hospitable and was able to fit us in with Angelic, one of his barbers. Angelic was fabulous!!! She did an excellent job with the haircuts and was just so friendly. We talked with Mike and Danny, one of their customers while the kids got their hair cut. Just super friendly and welcoming place. If you need a haircut, go here! We don’t even live in New Orleans but we will be back next time we are in town!

Quint is easygoing and his shop made the cut a memorable experience on my trip. Significant effort gets put into a cut at an affordable price, highly recommend to anyone looking to upgrade their look. I will be coming here again next time I'm in the area!

So I was visiting from out of town and I was going on a cruise, so I wanted A spray tan. I googled the best spray tans in New Orleans, and I found Gretta. I must say it was one of the best spray tans I’ve ever gotten. Number one she was very nice and the tan was spectacular. Even though I got tan on the cruise, the spray tan really helped me and stayed with me for quite a while. I highly recommend Gretta. If I lived in New Orleans, I would go back
Kerri is THE BEST! I had never spray tanned before and was super skeptical going in; absolutely feared looking like an orange the next day! Rest assured that Kerri does an amazing job giving her customers the most beautiful glow. Every time I go, I’m left wishing I could be that perfectly tan all the time! Bonus: Kerri makes you feel super comfortable and relaxed. What could definitely be an awkward half hour is most definitely not! She’s great, and I wouldn’t trust anyone else to give me the glow!
Uptown Charm is your go-to for your beauty needs! Their staff is expertly trained as well as being absolutely lovely. I've done many of their services such as facials and tanning, but my regulars are the Brows on Fleek and the Keratin Lash Lift & Tint. My girl, Sydney, is so good that I don't need to wear makeup for up to a month! She's never over-waxed my brows and always makes me feel comfortable during the lash treatments. I'm always stunned when I see her finished work!

Wonderful experience! I don't live in New Orleans, but I do visit frequently and decided to get a manicure & pedicure while I was here. I got dropped off by an Uber and walked back the half mile to my friend's place, so I can't speak to parking. The shop itself is so absolutely adorable! Very on brand in a modern farmhouse style. I loved it. The swings are a super fun touch. I don't like massage chairs, so I loved the swing. Both services were done by Mary, who was terrific! My manicure and particular is so beautiful. Far better than anything I can get in my hometown. I tried the Dazzling Dry nail polish and loved that it dried so quickly. Definitely going to make plans for more trips here when I am in the city!

I had the pleasure of having my nails done for the first time Saturday. I must say I was very pleased with the overall experience. The staff was very professional, and that's a plus for me. The place is small, but that doesn't stop them from doing a great job as any other large nail salon. When I walked in, I was immediately welcomed, and I felt right at home. My nails came out beautiful, and I received so many compliments on them. I have to say I've found a new nail salon and I couldn't be happier.

I was disappointed with my service. I guess I just went on a bad day because the rest of the reviews are awesome. I got dip powder, and two of my nails are lumpy. My technician seemed to notice he made a mistake but did not start over. My mom got acrylics and one of her nails broke within two days.

I've been to other lash artists in the area and none of them had the high quality products, attention to detail, excellent customer service, or a phenomenal personality The Lash Krewe has. Where do I start with this place..I called them very last minute to cut my son's hair and when I tell you I was so impressed by not only the quality of the work, but how professional and friendly they where. Because of the exceptional service they gave me and my son I called to book an appt for myself. I booked with Yeslie to get a silk press ,and when I tell you this is the best my hair has looked in a long time. Yeslie was phenomenal!!!!...she educated me on how to care for my hair, was very patient as I came in with very tangled natural hair and she performed a miracle to say the least. I've been getting so many compliments on my hair. I cannot recommend this place and Yeslie enough, you won't be disappointed!
I was in town for an engagement party and booked a makeup appointment with Tonejhel a few weeks beforehand. She was absolutely AMAZING! She was so sweet and knowledgeable and a master at making me comfortable every step along the way. I received so many compliments on my look that I bragged about her all night. The receptionist was so kind and made the check in and out process an easy one. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in town again for my next event.

Sometimes you just have to treat yourself! And I decided it was time for a facial. I looked for a spot nearby that also had online booking and the type of service I was look for. I booked a facial with Aleah and she was wonderful. Her technique was gentle but I could definitely feel that she was covering every bit of my face. I loved the results and felt pampered rather than scrubbed. The space is lovely and is in an old house. Everything is clean and fresh. However, because the spaces are open, you are just in your street clothes for services, if I had realized that, I wouldn't have worn a colored shirt. Also when you go to pay, you have to ask about tipping as it is not suggested.

Karla is my girl!! I love Karla, I’ve been going to her for about a year now and I love it! She uses strip wax and explained that it’s better than hard wax for darker skin complexions so the area isn’t as dark as it used to be when I was using hard wax. She’s gentle and gets the job done quick every time! I’m in and out within 20 mins.

We checked out a few different places and Space Tiger just seemed to be the one we felt the best about. We had Mat as our artist. We were getting simple song lyrics on our biceps. He drew it our exactly as we wanted and they came out better than we could have imagined! My wife had a little issue during her portion where she started to feel a little light headed and Mat was very compassionate and understanding in the matter. He gave her time to recoup before starting again. Great value, Great conversation, and great people! Also found out that Mat and I were born on the same exact day and year (3/19/87) only hours apart. So now he and I need matching tattoos!

I finally found what I thought could be my forever home. The only problem was that the 1930's house needed to be completely renovated. With my busy schedule, it was not an effort that I looked forward to. After hearing so many stories from family and friends about renovation disasters, I came to the project with my guard up. After doing some research, I decided to work with Schneider Construction for the effort. Larry runs a top-notch organization. He runs his business the way you would hope for your general contractor to operate: superb leadership, excellent budgeting and cost management, Gantt Chart scheduling, and best of all - not often seen accountability.
Alejandra was my Project Manager, and a newer member of the team. But she came with the smarts, confidence, enthusiasm and attention to detail that resulted in the outcome I had hoped for. She kept me informed every step of the way, sending pictures and texts and engaging any way necessary to make sure we were always on the same page. She was very customer focused, and regularly checked in to see that I was happy with the progress. I thoroughly enjoyed working with her, and I'll really miss our partnership.
Finally, Mallory was the Construction Manager on my job. She came with the academic creds that take home construction and renovation to the next level. With a degree in construction management from LSU, I can confidently say "she knows her stuff".
I'm thrilled to be moving into my new home and I'm so glad that I can look back fondly on the whole renovation experience.

We had some concerns about our slab foundation being off level. A-1 came out and did a complete inspection with electronic measurement devices and advised us that we were actually in good shape. God forbid we do need anything in the future they will most definitely be our first choice.
I found Thao to be very professional and communicative. I just purchased this house and I hired him to put in some supports and joists under the bathroom. He was able to get the project done quickly and made sure to show me exactly what work had been done and why. If you want good service this is who you want. My utility room floor had rotten through. I had a returned call and my estimate completed within a day. They started two days later and finished in three. They moved the appliances out, took out the rotten floor to the joists then replaced everything. Great communications. On time every time they said they would. Good quality of work.

I needed a double-wall oven installed that included a cabinet modification so that the oven would fit in our current kitchen cabinet. The contractor did an excellent job in removing the old oven and installing the new one. It was impossible to find a contractor to install the oven and modify the cabinet; Nolan did both with excellent communication. I will use this company for my future re-modeling needs.

We hired absolute last year for a clear out. For $800, they cleared absolutely everything… neglected trees, overgrown weeds, poison ivy, you name it. And we were finally ready to garden and enjoy our yard.This year, we hired them to trim the mulberry tree, which was also great work that brought air flow and sunlight back to our crowded yard.The only mistake they made was not warning us that the garden below the tree crown would be in peril, and that it was our job to protect it. As a result, we lost nearly all our creeping Jenny and several struggling hostas which took a beating in this process, during extreme heat and drought… almost none of it survived.I called and explained the situation, and sent them before and after pictures. They explained that they should have warned us, apologized, and came came out three times to plant 21 creeping Jenny plants for us, no questions asked.I was impressed that they were so willing to resolve the mistake, and am looking forward to seeing the new creeping Jenny trail back to her full glory over the coming months.Thankful that the company lives up to a good community standard, takes care when things go wrong, and values trust in their services.Will call them again when we need help.

I am very sad to announce that my brother Keith Victor Kron, founder and long time CEO of Natures Greenhouse, has passed away He was apparently home when his house was engulfed in flames. We are awaiting DNA confirmation but the family has every expectation that this will only confirm what we already know as we have not heard from him since the night before the fire and he has not contacted anyone about his pets or extensive garden. Several of us had been in close contact and he was in good spirit. I personally was working together with him on a couple of projects as were several others. As you may know Keith had a very large number of plants that were a part of his business. If you would like one as a remembrance of him please let us know as we are making arrangements to donate the bulk of them to a 9th Ward non-profit. We will accept donations if you are so moved. 2 of his dogs survived and if you know them and want to house them that would be great as at this time we are unable to keep them ourselves. While Keith did not use Facebook I created this page as a memorial page so people can write about him or contact me for information regarding a memorial service.

I was referred to LA Dental Center by my mother. She is pleased with their service and I was having some pain. My other dentist is located in Kenner and I grew tired of traveling. I would like to shout out Reynard, Lilly, Dr. Nguyen, and Dr. Bean. My service has been exceptional. During my root canal, I felt considered which is huge when receiving medical care. Reynard did my x-rays and my temporary crown fitting. He explained everything so I would know what to expect. Lilly was spot on and efficient with my cleaning. Dr. Nguyen was patient and addressed all of my questions. I am pleased with her as my primary dentist. Dr. Bean performed my root canal. He checked on me periodically during the root canal and was very attentive. This meant so much because I am a healthcare professional and strive to provide great service. Also, it was my first experience with the organization and I had never had a root canal prior. In addition to the wonderful staff, the location is convenient, the waiting area is clean, and the equipment is modern. I have no regrets in switching dental practices and am super-satisfied with the care I have received.

It’s been years since I’ve been to see Dr. Nick and I still refer people to him. He takes a holistic approach to chiropractic that includes looking at gut health as well as musculoskeletal factors- rather than just cracking your back and sending you on your way. They are amazing, I have been going to Prytania Vet for over a decade, you cannot imagine how kind and patient they are with me every single time. They are wonderful caring vets and staff. Very compassionate care of my dear cat who died and guiding me through adopting a new kitten with every kitten health problem possible. My partner and I recently moved from Los Angeles to Nola and needed to establish care for our senior cat, Oliver. I am so grateful we found the Cat Practice in Nola. Dr. Dodson and her team were so kind and patient! As an anxious cat parent with high expectations for his care, the Cat Practice really put my mind at ease. I can’t say enough thanks to Dr. Dodson and my vet tech, Ms. Tabitha, for being so kind and working so well with Oliver. Having a clinic dedicated to just cats truly makes a huge difference. The whole team (including the amazing front staff) were very thorough and communicative. The attention to detail and kindness ensures me that I’ve found the perfect clinic for him!
My experience at this vet was wonderful. The staff was awesome. The doctor and his assistant was awesome ? they took their time explaining everything which I was at ease . I came in as a walk-in with my dog having his cyst on his back. When Doctor and assistant getting ready to drain the cyst it decides to squirt back at us LOL ? ??

I bring my 4 schnauzers (mini, toy x 2, and giant) here to get groomed. They do an incredible job. When we go out for walks people always stop and ask where we get them groomed and I’m always excited to share just how impressed my family is with Zues’!!!!
First time customer and we will definitely be back! My Sim is a 7 year old special needs Shih Tzu. He's a rescue who has been groomed under sedation since he was rescued and he's also blind. After years of sedated grooms that were starting to affect him we reached out to see if they were willing to try grooming him without sedation (he was sedated due to his reactions when they groomed certain areas). They said they would give it try and they were successful! They have tricks to deal with little quirks and the treats I brought with him didn't hurt the situation. I wouldn't hesitate to bring a special needs or older animal to them for grooming as they took great care in grooming my dog that was previously classified as being too reactive to be groomed while awake. He was very happy when I picked him up and even had a cute little bandana on.
Morgan is wonderful. Our Miss Dolly Jolene was calm and collected and beautiful when we picked her up. Her coat was obviously well cared for by a person who knows what they're doing. Morgan! Dolly's new bestie. So happy to have found someone who enjoys and "gets" The Poodle.

I visited FTB while we were in NOLA for from Michigan on a business trip. If I lived here, I would have joined on the spot. I didn't get to take advantage of their out-of-towner special. But, they offer 3 classes with mat and towel rental for around $60. That's a great deal and option. Good to know in the future. The facility is beautiful and really relaxing. The sun poured in the big industrial style windows. (Helpful to know for the morning classes). My instructor was awesome. I love that they offer a yes/no card to opt in or out of hands on assistance and instruction. It was helpful to ensure correct form. I attended the Yoga beats class and whew!!!! I was a bucket of sweat. It was fantastic!! Good to know but not found on the website (that I saw): they have a shower available to use after class if needed. And had I known, I would have come prepared. Because I needed it! It was also super helpful and refreshing to find a healthier side of town. There are lots of great healthy food options near by that you're just not going to readily find on the other side of Canal street. So glad I found this place. Well done, FTB! Thank you for your hospitality! I even picked up my one souvenir NOLA t-shirt. Can't wait to wear it!
I was able to make it in to tour the studio and try a session, finally. Olivia and Aalyiah have been so encouraging and helpful. The facility is tidy, clean, encouraging and an overall "safe space". They made my experience worth my time! I look forward to future visits. Would definitely recommend to a friend.
I've taken a few trips out to New Orleans this year. While visiting and exploring the area near my soon to be new home, I stumbled upon Nola Yoga Loft. I took a few different classes from Lauren and found this is a spot that will be a staple in June. Laurens presence and the way she guides her classes is incredible.I took a brief break from yoga and can't wait to continue returning for her classes and meeting the other instructors. This small, intimate location is the perfect spot to help lift your spirits and set the best intentions for your day.
We did a private group session for our managers while in town for a leadership retreat. Adelaide was a wonderful and energetic instructor. You can really tell that she cares about her practice and the wellbeing over others. She also has provided us with resources so we can continue to work on relaxation and flexibility now that we are back home. The group had an excelletn time and I am so glad we chose to work with her. I highly recommend her studio and classes.
I have enjoyed several Kundalini intensives with Steph Smith at Swan River, and they have been life-changing and so healing for me. I have practiced yoga for a decade in my journey through grief and PTSD/panic disorder. I was only recently introduced to Kundalini after a friend recommended Steph’s intensives. I will always think of my mind and life now in two phases- before kundalini and after kundalini. My mind simply functions differently now that I have integrated what Steph has taught me into my everyday life. I’m so grateful to Steph and to Swan River for offering this to the community. I recently went to Freret Street Yoga and tried one of Geoffrey's Level 2+ classes. I am an experienced yoga student but was unsure if that level would be too difficult. The class - and the owner/instructor Geoffrey - was amazing! His instruction is so clear and relaxed and, at the same time, very motivating. I cannot wait to go back. Love my girls at Grace! I started going here in 2020 and I’ve loved it ever since. Every time is a great experience and you actually learn the basics of Pilates here. I’ve not taken a yoga class here but adding that to the list as well. I’ve been slacking and not going since I’ve been at home w| my new baby but I can’t not wait to get back into the groove of things and start those classes back up.

They were able to take us in for a last second massage on a weekday afternoon. The rooms are separate but they had a barn door they opened for couples massage. They really get into the knotted spots by kneeling on the bed to get that good pressure. Service was great and they did check in with each of us if the pressure is okay or if we wanted to extend our massage near the end.
I did the 90 minute massage, the space was clean and relaxing with rain sounds and gentle music playing. Miss Linda was amazing and really helped with my back pain targeting two areas where my knots were particularly bad. I will be back and I highly recommend.

Went here while vacationing in New Orleans with my wife. Was able to walk right in for a couples message. Very professional, clean accommodations, attentive and offered a wide variety of services. The couples message came with the hot stones treatment which was nice. Usually the hot stones is an add-on cost. Would definitely recommend!

I have been seeing Amy for at least a decade. She is one of the best masseuses in the city. She has been able to figure out weird, vexing pains quickly, and I always feel better after leaving her table.

RT & The Stride Shop are my running family. I made an appointment a year ago, on the recommendation of a friend. I had been a runner at different points of my life but was always slow and often plagued by shin splints. The summer I made my first appointment with the Stride Shop, I was 2 months out from a double mastectomy, 4 months from my 40th birthday, and determined to run my first full marathon in 5 months. Kevin, RT, and The Stride Shop not only got me across that marathon finish line injury free, but they turned me into a permanent, full-time, lifelong "real" runner, and in less than a year, I have shaved >4 minutes off my 1-mile time (and no shin splints!). You don't have to be an elite runner to make an appointment with The Stride Shop, but they just might turn you into one.
I've had worsening chronic pain for 5 years now with no proper diagnosis or medical aid, but Dr. Joe had a spot-on diagnosis for me within 15min of seeing him for the first time! Now I can finally start getting the medical help I've so desperately been searching for these last 5 years, and I'm able to receive it next door to him in the same building! Can't recommend these people enough, I've never been listened to like this and the results are speaking for themselves.

Michael’s knowledge, care, and expertise as an acupuncturist is indisputable (as shown by other reviews) but I’d to take this time to highlight his use of traditional Chinese herbal medicine. I’ve been going to the doctor on and off for years dealing with gut issues (gluten allergy) and skin issues. The medicine given to me by doctors for my skin issues since March has burned my skin, has me needing to do liver tests every 4 months because of heavy toxicity levels, and is only a temporary solution for something that will “never go away”. Over the last month I’ve been intentional with my work with Michael and am MILES ahead of where I was working with doctors. My skin condition has cleared up in a month, he’s alleviated pain, and is helping me for a long term solution in repairing my gut and healing my skin from the inside out. I feel so much better and am so happy with this pain alleviating for the first time in a long time.
Jimi is professional, compassionate, and understanding. If you feel like something is not working for you, communicate with him and he will adjust the acupuncture style accordingly. I originally came in for scapular dyskinesia and was receiving targeted treatments for my upper back. After a couple sessions, I felt worse and feared acupuncture wasn’t for me. Jimi suggested I try a whole body chi approach and it worked wonders. I received treatments every 4-6 weeks. Unfortunately I moved out of the city, otherwise I would still be scheduling sessions. Highly recommend!
