We just took a road trip to Pensacola and then NoLa with our pooches and the weather turned out to be much warmer than was forecasted. This presented a challenge for our standard poodle who was scheduled to be groomed when we returned and as such had a quite thick winter coat since we are from NJ. We did a quick search on Google Maps and found Scissor Me Whiskers which is located a couple of blocks from Audubon Park and was close to the place we rented. My raggedy pup needed a fresh and clean cut last week, and SMW did not disappoint! I found this place through Yelp and wanted to go because of all the other great reviews. The groomer did a fantastic job on my 8 year old cocker spaniel. She was kind and patient, and even comforted my dog when I told her she was most likely going to be scared of the dryer. And the prices are very reasonable too! I usually get worried when going to what I would consider boutique pet groomers like this, but the service was definitely worth the price, while still being affordable. We'll definitely be back!

I just moved here and I had been using a mobile grooming company for years. This was the first time my dog went to an a groomer's salon. The staff are very friendly and ask all the right questions. The grooming on my poodle was excellent and they told me everything they did. You can tell they really love animals because when I came back to pick up my dog, he was in the lap of a staff member getting lots of love. I got no indication from him that he was traumatized in any way. I plan on going back every time my poodle needs grooming.
