I recently took advantage of private Pilates reformer sessions at Downtown Pilates through their apprenticeship program. Kristen has been my instructor for 5 sessions and I am already seeing an incredible change in my strength level, posture and overall mood! She excels at guiding me through the various movements, using visual tools and metaphors to give me a stronger sense of technique. She also slowly advances me with each session, so I don’t leave feeling sore and overwhelmed. The studio space is beautiful, very open and welcoming! And the staff is gracious and make you feel right at home, no matter your fitness level. After years of not feeling in shape, I am getting back on track and it’s all thanks to the team at Downtown Pilates! I can’t say enough amazing things about Jodey, Kristen and the rest of the pros there!

While traveling, I seek out and appreciate any chance to take class from an experienced Pilates instructor. My class at Downtown Pilates was fun, appropriately challenging, and comprehensive. Susan offered thoughtful cues that gave me ways to optimize my physical and mental attention to the task at hand. She checked in with me often, as I was new to the studio, and made sure I was set up for success. I would recommend Downtown Pilates for an ongoing practice and for folks just visiting Louisville.
