“Working with Home Town Exteriors was an absolute joy! Nick is very hands-on from start to finish, explaining everything clearly and going over siding options. I never felt he was "upselling" on anything.

There are a couple of seemingly little things that made this company so great to work with, both of which fall under basic courtesy--something the other companies I talked to lacked. Nick arrived about 10 minutes early for our first meeting (per my Ring cam), and he didn't knock on my door until our meeting time! I was working until our planned time, and this was just a really nice thing to do. He also never made me feel like I *had* to talk on the phone (though we did a couple of times). This was great for a number of reasons, from preferring to get high-cost things in writing to simply not enjoying talking on the phone!

My "toxic trait" is that I am a bit too much of a planner, meaning I tend to be very proactive about upcoming work dates and such. I know this bugs some people I hire, but I never felt that way from Nick.

The crew worked incredibly quickly. Everything I found said the work could take as much as 2x as long as it did! I didn't have a huge job, but I have a feeling a couple of things were unnecessarily complicated (though they never said as much) because of the quality of the original work.

Overall, if and when I need services they offer again, they'll be the first people I call.“

“I hired Acumen Renovations to replace my deck with composite decking and to do the same on the two sets of stairs that lead up to my front door. And he kept me appraised continually, provided helpful suggestions, and quickly answered my questions.

Likewise, eack person on JR's team was professional, hard working, highly skilled, dedicated to doing outstanding work, and always friendly and smiling. It was obvious they took great pride in their work. Anytime that they saw something not quite right, they took immediate steps to correct it. I was impressed!!

Communication is key in any project and MSC knocked it out of the park with consistent communication through every stage of our basement finish. “Tony came to our rescue when we had a painter fail to show up on Saturday to paint our garage - after we had spent the better part of 2 days clearing everything out and relocating items to our basement, patio, and house. Lawn mower, weed eater, snow blower, yard equipment, workbench and tools, shelves, etc everywhere (shudder). He came on Sunday morning, looked at the project and gave a very fair bid. He could have gouged us since we were desperate, but he is an ethical business person and didn’t. Tony worked diligently for several hours and did a fine job spraying the walls and ceiling of the garage, patching where needed. He can do so much more than painting, and I would hire him in a heartbeat for future projects.“
