“Masters Kim and Kang are really good. I agree with all other reviews that they are extremely accommodating and I will add also hardworking. Even during covid they continued to train online temporarily so minimum classes are missed. I am amazed at how much the kids know during testing about diff forms and techniques. Master Kim is funny, fair and even strict with the students when he needs to be.“

“We Hired Frank from Amalgam Martial Academy to work with kids ages 6 - 12 years over a summer camp program. Every week the kids were super excited to see Mr. Frank and learn all about self defense, good character, and discipline. He was personable with the kids and would quickly change tactics if he felt they were struggling with a concept and re-frame it in a new light. At the end of the summer the camp kids even got to break their own boards! They we so proud of themselves and the new skills they learned with Mr. Frank. “It's not Gracie Barra, it's Tiki Terrace now. My family and I shared a wonderful time together to celebrate 2 birthdays. We saw several Hawaiian dances and heard a little of Hawai'I 's history and traditions. Because there were several people celebrating their birthday's, 2 people where brought up on stage to dance. It seemed as though the whole restaurant was one big party. My family certainly enjoyed the experience. The food was okay, shredded pork, salmon and breaded chicken were served with white rice and a macaroni noodle salad.“

“Went to the Naperville location for years in the early 90s. Best learning environment you would wish for. No macho BS or egos here. Master Change still moves like lightning since I saw him back in 1991. I wish I could still and I almost half his age. He teaches peaceful approaches but he will give you the tools you will never forget. Unlike most places his technique is the best through repetition. So if you defend against a punch over and over again...... you simply react without hesitation and look down and think. That was cool lol. Even all these years later I still remember most of what I learned. If you want your child to learn how to control their emotions and master themselves. There is no one better than Master Chang and my former teacher Mr. John Considine. This is more expensive than most schools but well worth it in my opinion.“
