“Returning to my karate dojo after a hiatus of 9 years was like coming home to family. The sensei here are truly exceptional, providing not only expert guidance in martial arts but also instilling values of discipline, respect, and perseverance. Since my return 4 years ago, I've experienced remarkable growth both in my skills and character, thanks to their dedication and encouragement. This dojo is more than just a place to train; it's a community where individuals are empowered to reach their fullest potential. I wholeheartedly recommend this dojo to anyone seeking not only to master karate but also to cultivate a strong mind, body, and spirit. I've put a picture of about 7-9 years ago below“
“My kid enjoy his classes, thanks to the coach for the fabulous coaching. Thank you National Karate.“
“The team here is like nothing I’ve ever experienced before! They will dedicate their energy and effort to make sure your kids don’t feel excluded and feel like they belong. High recommend!“
“I’ve been training with RMMA since it started in 2021 and every step has been amazing. Coach Joey is extremely encouraging and welcoming to everyone regardless of training background!“
“Wonderful place. Genuinely helpful and caring staff and instructors. My 10 year old daughter has gained confidence, balance and coordination in less than a year. Would recommend for anyone.“
“Great place to train! Being a beginner at 29 they balanced working at my skill level while pushing me hard to get better. Everyone is very knowledgeable and respectful.“
“I work in this community but I live about 30 minutes away. My family has a lot of options for Tae Kwon Do in the area we live in but we LOVE World Class!!! The instructors (Master Polanski, Master Eskew, Miss Gates, and the rest) are all very personable, knowledgeable, and respectful. They learn all of the kids' names and are so helpful in their learning process. I highly recommend this location!!!“
“Master Kim and Master Kang command respect while making class engaging and enjoyable for all students. They differentiate their instruction effectively to support their students' varying belt / skill levels. They are aware of when to step in and give more specific instruction when a student may be struggling with form. They both have wonderful senses of humor and are kind which makes children want to come to class. I am more than impressed with how they run their facility and would highly recommend them.“
“Friends of ours just had their 4 year old son's birthday party here. The instructor/owner is FANTASTIC. She got my very shy daughter very involved very quickly. And also got the parents involved. It was a wonderful experience.“
“The fighters and regular peeps of all ages training together so everyone gets better.Coach Mac and Richardo rock“
“We Hired Frank from Amalgam Martial Academy to work with kids ages 6 - 12 years over a summer camp program. Every week the kids were super excited to see Mr. Frank and learn all about self defense, good character, and discipline. He was personable with the kids and would quickly change tactics if he felt they were struggling with a concept and re-frame it in a new light. At the end of the summer the camp kids even got to break their own boards! They we so proud of themselves and the new skills they learned with Mr. Frank. If you are thinking of putting your kids in martial arts, my top recommendation is Amalgam Martial Academy and Mr. Frank. We will definitely hire them again for future summer camp programs. Thank you Mr Frank!“
“My favorite memory in karate was when I was at my first day at karate. I felt great when I broke a board, also getting my white belt made me proud. When I got the certificate for graduating to white belt I felt like I was going to jump in the air. I was so excited that I joined karate.H. Arellano age 11**My favorite memory is when I was a yellow/orange belt in the karate we played dodgeball. It was so fun. My second favorite memory is when I graduated to my green/brown belt and I was strong, fearless and happy. I know that I am a role model and I know that I need to continue to do my best.J. Arellano age 10**My favorite memory about karate is when at the end of the year we do an end of the year spectacular and you get to be on stage, everybody gets to look how good that you do. At karate, how strong, focused and powerful that you can be with your skills.from Fin age 9“
“Excellent confidence building, home discipline and focus building program for kids. My daughter was super shy at first and now looks forward to going to class with the amazing Bill the master who work so hard and diligently to help our kids grow and become confident little ones. The time and investment will truly pay off and help your child become his/her best. Highly recommend.“
“Ko's has become such an important part of our family. I participate along with our two children. My journey began at 40 years old and I've felt nothing but encouragement and support from everyone from the beginning. It's also such a positive, engaging place for the kids as well!“
“Overall, it's a good place for kids. Most instructors are good, but some need more training in engaging kids and making them feel more comfortable.“
“Great atmosphere for learning and training. No egos in this place and everyone looks oit for each others physical safety and well being. Great bunch of guys and gals to train with“
“My son says he has such a great time here and sometimes he says he would rather be at P.S Academy than home. Recommend for any age as they have little tigers classes and adult classes.“
“Our girls love this class. Master Sul is patient, knowledgeable and enjoys teaching. The class is giving them confidence, teaching self defense and valuable life skills about self esteem, respect, courtesy. They take pride in their forms and testing and are even more proud to show others. They are progressing nicely and we’ve seen a huge improvement at home with following directions and self control. Highly recommend!“
“this place is great i went there sense i was about 9 i am 13 now this place was a great inviment every one there was super nice I 100 % recommend this place to parents that are trying to get there kids out of the house and what not“
“Amazing staff from an established Tae Kwon-Do studio that's been around for decades. The focus in this dojo is on learning respect, responsibility and discipline beyond just getting a new belt color. Highly recommend !“
“My nieces have been taking Taekwondo classes with Master Al for about 2 years I believe and have accomplished receiving their black belts within that time. The training they've gotten has been AMAZING! I'm always in awe whenever I'm in town visiting. I visited from Hawaii and Master Al has always remembered me whenever I drop in to watch their classes. He truly cares and loves what he does. My nieces truly love coming here! And they love showing me what they've learned! My nieces have gone to Nationals and he even scheduled for my nieces to do their Black Belt Promotion for when I was able to be in town for a visit.. which meant a lot to me! I recommend this place to anyone looking to put their kids in a sport because they will truly learn a lot.. not only about exercise and discipline.. but a lot they can take with them in life. Now I want to take Taekwondo! Thank you for all you do Master Al! Maddie & Kailees Aunt (Melanie)“
“A premier training environment that is run by excellent instructors. It’s a place where anyone at any skill level can benefit from.“
“I was a practitioner for about 15 years until the age of 18 and had to leave for college. I worked up to my second degree black belt and it took 15 years, so you can assume this school believes in the philosophies a martial arts school should: discipline, hard work and perseverance. I am currently 21 years old and I owe Hapkido my life as it taught me self discipline at such a young age and led me to carry those same philosophies throughout high school up into the present. I love Hapkido because of the culture this school produces. The culture of confidence, not arrogance. The culture of movement and life, not stillness. The culture of love, not hate. Grand Master Chang and Master Austria have given me life beyond my years. I highly recommend this school to anyone who cares about caring for themselves or their family. It focuses on self defense techniques that could literally save your life someday. This school is a place where kids can grow up and become leaders rather than followers. It is a place where you push yourself to be a better you. I can't stress how greatly appreciative I am of this wonderful school and all the amazing mentors I had. Do yourself a favor and sign up as soon as possible!“
“Good for children to learn self defense and very nice instructor who teaches discipline“
“Sharkey'skarate is a good place to learn the material art and the coaches are very strong and niceThe only thing I have concerns about it is the smells need to be fresh and clean“
“I’ve been training at P3 for almost a year now (on and off due to life being chaotic) but every time I go in I’m always greeted with a hello and a smile from all the coaches! It always feels like I never even left! All the coaches are super kind and knowledgeable and are always willing to answer any and all questions you may have, with patience and understanding! I’ve met a handful of girls who are all super friendly as well and in my experience that can be hard to find sometimes at gyms. I’m super grateful for P3 and the few friends I’ve made in my time being there! If you are a woman, and find working with bigger, stronger men a bit intimidating they do offer a women’s only class every Wednesday at 7 and Friday at 5:30(I believe, call to be sure) that I really enjoy! 10/10 definitely recommend P3 to anyone on the search for a place that is welcoming, kind, knowledgeable, and fun!“
“My son started at USMA 1.5 years ago and since then, my daughter and I have joined as well. We checked out several martial arts schools but were most impressed with USMA Glen Ellyn. They have helped my children develop confidence and strength as well as strengthen their discipline and respect towards others. All the instructors are great but Grand Master Lee exudes such a gentle authority. The students learn the art of taekwondo as well as the Korean culture. As an adult, I have enjoyed getting back into shape and building my strength as well as finding a group of adults that support each other.“
