4448 S Cottage Grove Ave, Chicago“I found this place on tik tok, I was looking for somewhere sacred and safe where I can be spiritual, get supplies, heal and more. Let me tell you I don't regret it one bit. Feb 2nd changed my life and perspective, Kaiya is a wonderful chaman she not only made me feel special but gave me words of life and confirmation while I'm going through a struggle. The Owner taught me how to properly dress a candle at the candle station which I appreciated and will use in my own practice. I also got to join the community pot luck which I really enjoyed while discussing the book recommended (the healing wisdom of africa). I plan to definitely be apart of this community I loved every minute and I also have somewhere I can purchase my tarot cards in person ?Overall I'm happy this is a black owned business I will spend my money carelessly in here everytime no DOUBT ABOUT IT !!“

I like that the space is small enough to be intimate but not crowded and has a peaceful energy. You can feel the shift when you walk through the door from the busy world outside.“

Dragon Budo Jujutsu Martial Arts Academy, 2021-25 E 95th St, Chicago“I've been studying and training at the DBJ dojo for nearly two years and it's been one of the best combat experiences! This is coming from a 4 year wrestler who also has nearly 2 years of boxing (training only), minor Judo trianing in Cameroon, and a handful of months at a Gracie Academy. Not only does the dojo uphold its set principles and values, but it also pushes its students to do the same. Strikes are taught off the rip because they're woven into the curriculum; and by extension, your technique. Under Grandmaster Starks, if you take it seriously, you'll become a legit student under the Gyawn Atiko Jujutsu system-a more traditional style of Jujutsu. Belts aren't given; we're students, hence the set tests we take to earn our promotions. In addition to the mats, full boxing ring, and MMA cage, the DBJ dojo fully embraces a healthy fight culture while creating the next generation of strong and dedicated warriors. While I could go on and on, I'll end by saying you just have to come try it for yourself! Here is a short clip of how it be!https://youtu.be/bzI6Z7X4t3A?feature=shared“

4657 S Drexel Blvd, Chicago“Great space, great equipment, and unparalleled customer service. Annie, the owner, could not be more accommodating or knowledgeable or gracious. The Space is the antidote to corporate gyms, to gyms that require long-term contracts, that feel as cold and soulless as a frozen barbell. If you're in or around Hyde Park, you could train elsewhere. But WHY would you? The Space is THE place.“

Her calming presence and clear instructions made the practice extremely accessible. Both Kelley and Nancy's sculpt classes make for an incredible work out. They are both incredibly kind and down to earth, but provide the extra motivation to keep it rolling.Would highly recommend checking out Revival Yoga in Palos and attending as many class types as possible!“
“Loree's expertise as a therapist shines through her genuine kindness and compassion, traits I've had the pleasure of witnessing since our undergraduate days. What sets her apart is her rich tapestry of worldly experiences, which enables her to empathetically view situations from various perspectives. With Loree, you're not just receiving therapy, but a deeply empathetic understanding that fosters growth and healing.“
