“Perfect interior paint job. Great guys. Can't imagine having a better experience. I bought a 3-flat and moved into the top-floor. The walls were bubbling in places, dirty, and hadn't been painted in years. I thought about painting it myself, but thought better of it because it looked like I'd have to do every room. Anyway, I didn't want to pay a lot, but I also didn't want a shit job done--I would be living in the place for at least a few years. A friend recommended these guys. They came out to give us a consultation on the colors right away. I thought they did a great job of using our suggestions without letting us make aweful decisions. I think that's probably a pretty difficult thing to pull off; you wouldn't expect painters to have that much tact. Long story short, the colors they helped us pick out were perfect. They did a perfect job in about a day, and they probably gave us the best price we came across. I haven't worked with a lot of painters, but I can't imagine things going better. They might not do huge commercial jobes but for our purposes (3-bedroom 1200sf condo) they were incredible.“

“We have hired Stratagem Construction for major renovations on two homes, our current and previous residence in Chicago. They did a great job with both projects. Most recently, they gutted our kitchen and rebuilt it from the studs, did a major basement renovation, replacing an outdated bar with a kitchenette and re-doing a bathroom, and transformed our powder room and fireplace surround. Each job was done well and thoughtfully. What really sets Stratagem apart is the responsiveness and honesty of its contractor, Mitch Newman. They provide a very detailed bid before they start work on a project and then they come in on budget, barring legitimately unforeseen complications (we had one of those in the basement.) A lot of contractors are going to submit a final bill that dramatically exceeds the initial bid, but you don't have to worry about that with Stratagem. And unlike other contractors, they'll never ghost you / go incommunicado for days at a time. We definitely would use them again and have recommended Stratagem to several friends.“

“Two years ago, we used 4ever Remodeling to remodel our kitchen. We contacted them based on Angie’s List reviews. After an intimate consultation with Damian, we visited the office to look the cabinets, countertops, and tiles. Once we decided to move forward, the interior designer met us at our home to discuss design options and the final cabinet layout. We chose River Run off-white cabinets with quartz countertops. After ordering materials, construction began. Mariuz and his coworker did a fantastic job. Attention to detail was very high. They finished on time, and the kitchen looks fantastic. If you are looking for kitchen designers and remodelers, 4ever is the right choice.“

“This is my second comment/review on my purchase from Jerger and my experiences with this company keeps getting better. The windows in my living room are super large in both height and width (We need a 10-foot ladder to change out or charge a battery), 6 windows in all, mechanized that blocks out all sun where the room is pitch black when closed (We have a very large caged parrot that lives in the room and if he doesn't get his sleep he makes our life's miserable). The expert salesperson could not have been more professional, pleasant, and knowledgeable. The installation of the blinds went quickly, the window covering was better than what I expected. A year and a half later one of the wand batteries went bad. I took the bad battery out of one of the blinds and put it into another just to be sure it was the battery that was defective not the motor. I called Jerger and explained the situation and what I had done to test the battery. Without hesitation he told me that he was ordering a new battery for me and a spare, no ands, ifs or buts it was done. No hassle, no delay, he confirmed that he would replace it immediately. He ordered the batteries and had them sent to my home. If We could give this company 10 stars we would. We would recommend them to everyone for their excellent product, great customer service, great after delivery customer service and follow through“

“I had such a wonderful experience working with Habitar in updating my kitchen. Everyone I worked with was professional and committed to the project. The finished product is exactly as I was hoping for.I was looking for help in giving my kitchen a refresh by painting the cabinets and replacing the fixtures and backsplash. I wanted to work with a design firm that could incorporate modern elements into my dated kitchen without having to replace countertops or cabinets. I reached out to several interior design firms in Chicago but most turned me down because my project was not large enough for them. However Habitar, despite the project being smaller than most they accept, was willing to do the work! Mitch, the owner, explained that he was sure I will have bigger projects in the future and that once I work with them on this small project, I will be sure to come back for the bigger ones.MacKenzie, the designer, took the time to listen to what I was hoping to do and she had a bunch of ideas without overwhelming me with options. Patrycja, the project coordinator, worked with me to get the project to meet my budget and was consistently responsive throughout the work. Sarah and her team were meticulous with the tile on the backsplash as well as with the fixtures and cabinetry (and so sweet with my curious cat who wanted to supervise all the action). The painting team was skillful and were prompt with the touch-ups that are inevitable during the first few weeks after a project. At the end of the project, the team made it clear that all their work is under warranty for one year and that I should reach out with any concerns at all.The Habitar team made the whole design and construction process as easy as it could be. I'm really happy with how the kitchen turned out and with the communication along the way. Mitch is correct that I will be reaching out to Habitar again for future projects.“

“We had a great experience with Lugbill Designs. We needed help decorating our home a year after moving in. Our old furniture simply didn't go with the aesthetic. I called around and many places had crazy minimums and since we weren't doing construction work, we couldn't meet. Then we met Erika. She and her team are great to work with and the end result was cohesive and beautiful decorating with a little extra something that makes it unique. They created a wonderful garden in our small Chicago lot, with a beautiful patio for outdoor entertaining, lawn for dogs/kids, vegetable garden, and grilling space. They had great ideas for reducing flood risk by moving water away from the house.
