Bought a home with carpet that had been hiding hardwood floors for decades (some before and after pics attached). Ciprian came by looked at what my partner and I thought was a complete disaster and basically said, “no problem”.

After getting a reasonable quote for the work, we were off and running. Ciprian kept in contact leading up to the work being done, making sure we would be prepared and available. He set a realistic timeline for the work to get done and throughout the process he consistently offered options and guidance.

After sanding and finishing it’s like we were gifted new hardwood floors with maybe just a little bit of character.

Ciprian even followed up after the work was done with detailed instructions on how to best care for the flooring. It’s top notch service from start to finish (accidental flooring pun).

They also built us a brand new open shelf at the end of our stove to extend our counter to both sides of the appliance. Ivan was super responsive by text as I had questions or letting me know if they were running late from another job.We had some issues with getting the right hinges for this project but it wasn't their fault in the end. Just know if you have older hinges the need replacing it might take some time with a little trail and error to get the right solution.We ended up hiring them back out a few weeks later to install a range hood. “We had an outstanding experience with Joe and his team from Remodeling Chicago. Our project entailed replacing the siding, windows, and flat roof at the back of our house, in addition to fully rebuilding our back deck. Joe completed the entire project in a timely manner, despite less than favorable weather, and delivered quality results that passed both a private home inspection and the official city inspection with minimal conditions (which Joe promptly corrected). The project also entailed a couple of change orders, which Joe seamlessly integrated into the ongoing work without pushing the total cost too much higher than the original estimate. “We had a great experience with Lugbill Designs. We needed help decorating our home a year after moving in. Our old furniture simply didn't go with the aesthetic. I called around and many places had crazy minimums and since we weren't doing construction work, we couldn't meet. Then we met Erika. “I can't say enough good things about JP Flooring, Johnny and his crew. I met with Johnny in January (2024) to discuss the project details. He gave me a quote for demo and installation (I'd say in the middle range of all the quotes I was able to get) and he helped me pick out the flooring. We had carpet in the bedrooms (which I swear had stuff growing in it, it was so disgusting) and we had poor quality/cheap engineered hardwood in the living areas. JP tore out the carpet and old hardwood and replaced it all with a very good quality engineered hardwood. I went with an engineered hardwood made by Mirage Floors, Carousel finish, wide planks, a pretty thick top layer which means it should last a while and can be refinished a few times, and I love it so much. It looks so amazing and professionally done. JP also installed a cork underlayment for soundproofing, and I think it also evens out the floor and makes it softer/more comfortable to walk on. Every step of the way Johnny was helpful, kind and responsive. I have two condos in the South Loop (in the same building) and our building association can be pretty demanding when it comes to remodeling projects. A lot of paperwork, back and forth, and hoops to jump through. Johnny was cool as a cucumber the whole time, answered the association's questions and we met all the requirements before starting the project. Johnny and I agreed on a start date, he told me how long it would take, and he and his crew totally nailed it. They worked so, so hard. They showed up every day at 7am and worked until 5pm. Johnny said our 3-bedroom condo would take 7 days, and he said our 1-bedroom condo would take 3 days, and that's exactly how long it took. I also have to mention Johnny's brother, Danny, who was just fantastic. He was a big part of the process, too, and he made sure everything was done right. Like Johnny, Danny was so level-headed, kind, and incredibly hard-working. Highly recommend!“
