Britni is one of the best makeup artist I’ve ever known. She has been in the industry for awhile and she knows what she’s doing. She has made me look good for so many occasions s including my wedding. On top of that she does the best spray tans. And is the only one I will allow to do my spray tans it looks perfect no streaks and the right color. I’ve been seeing her the last 12 years. She is one of the realist and one of the kindest and will help you get the results you want with skin care, makeup, and spray tan.
LaTosha was the best! I went in for some braids today. I love her sense of style. She offers a bit of everything for everyone. LaTosha said everyone is a celebrity when you come to her and boy she is on point. I definitely will be back. Plus she starts you out with something special!!!! Michele’s skills have effortlessly evolved and she stays on top of trends, while consistently making me feel refreshed and beautiful everytime I sit in her chair. Literally cannot recommend her anymore. FYI - prepare for more time in her chair than less time. Perfection takes time and Michele is always willing to take all the time necessary to make sure you’re happy with your hair. Personally, I don’t mind the extra time it takes. The conversation is always great and I sincerely enjoy my time with Michele.

Fun and unique. Ever seen WISCONSIN from the top of the shortest, steepest railroad IN THE WORLD?! It's just across the Mississippi in Dubuque! The original owner didn't want to make the walk from work at lunch so he installed this...is the story. The Fenelon Place Elevator (also known as the Fourth Street Elevator) is 296 feet long and angles up at 41 degrees for a vertical elevation of 189 feet. Made of wood and 6 people. At the top -- there are TWO observation decks, which offer unobstructed views of Wisconsin, Illinois, and Iowa! Great place for pictures. When the elevator first opened in 1884, rides cost 5 cents. Nowadays, they're $2 each way. The elevator runs daily from April 1 through November 30. Make sure you have cash as they don't accept credit cards. At the bottom, check out a few stores and get an ice cream at the Sweet Memories Confection. Also a great drive up to the top and through a neighborhood.

Needed a new look, same hairstyle for 20 years. Heather at Kennedy Mall not only listened, she delivered. She gave me an excellent cut, wash, and diffuser dry for this new short curly style. Ellen Pins did absolutely stunning work with my hair. I came in with a large color correction, lots of banding… it was a mess. I’ve been to several different hair dressers and she’s the best by far! She’s not timid, she’s honest, but also really listens to you to deliver exactly what you want. Too bad that her chair is always so full she’s hard to book.

I recently had my eyebrows microbladed by Ava. I could not be happier with the results. She made me feel comfortable through the whole process and made sure I knew exactly what she was doing. The best part of the service was, it was completely painless. I could have taken a nap. Ava spent a lot of time perfecting my eyebrows and paying attention to all the little details. 10/10 recommend. I had a Yoni steam done and loved it. Id been talking doing this for years and we were in town and was referred by a friend and loved it. Its in a cozy spa that had several services to offer, the host told us about all the herbs and what to expect before hand. She was patient and kind. I enjoyed the entire spa feel. I would definitely recommend this spa.
I had THE BEST experience with Chakra and Reicki treatments today. I thought Chaquita's massages were great, which they are, but to be able to heal within, was wonderful! Kat was recommended by a friend and I deal with severe back pain knee and shoulder pain daily, I went to my first appointment and I had relief, from alot of these problem areas longer than anything the VA has done for me. Before my third appointment which she was able to squeeze me in to her already busy schedule, I was unable to put any weight on my left shoulder or move it past my chest without pain, when Kat finished her sorcery on my shoulder it was completely gone and I have no words on how amazing she truly is at her craft and I would recommend her to any veteran suffering from body pain.
Our family started off with the Sam's club pool when our children were young. We also purchased a used hot tub from J and J not knowing how often we would use- or how long either of them would last. Fast forward a few years and we now have a brand new hot tub and a permanent above ground pool from J and J. The kids may now be adults and be moving on, but mom and dad sure enjoy the luxury that J and J has provided us over the years. The staff is so helpful with any help we may need. And on another note, if you don't already have a robotic cleaner for your pool, it is a lifesaver! J and J helped us get the perfect one for our pool!

We had a wonderful day at Potosa Spa celebrating a birthday! From the moment we arrived, Diane, the front desk associate, made us feel incredibly welcome with her super friendly attitude. The spa itself was impeccably clean, creating a relaxing and comfortable environment. Our service providers were also wonderful and did a great job. We used the hot tub, and it was very nice. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and we can't wait to return. Highly recommended!

I had a leg that had no tattoos on it so I thought I'd make it my book leg . This leg will have all my favorite books tattooed on it. Mark is a highly trained and extremely dedicated artist, and I can’t overstate how much I love this studio. The shop is immaculately clean, super comfortable, and full of interesting art pieces (many of which are for sale!). Mark and Jenny run a tight ship—yet they are so professional and friendly. They work hard to make ecological and ethical choices for their packaging and supplies, they have their own line of handmade body butters and other skincare products that work wonderfully and smell amazing, and they somehow manage to maintain fair pricing on everything. Mark’s calm, gentle demeanor makes getting tattooed so easy. Honestly I would call it a luxury experience to be tattooed here. You are both awesome!!!

I’ve had this company install a new breaker box when I owned a trailer. They’ve installed an outlet for my stove when I bought my house! Excellence Matters, always. Lawn Doctor of Dubuque has taken super good care of treatments of our lawn for many years. The lawn makes all of the other neighbors jealous, and they let me know because the husbands are nagged by spouses to make their yard as nice as ours. Our grandkids visit in the summer, and we feel safe about the materials used to treat. We evaluated several lawn care teams and Lawn Doctor was chosen for quality, price, and efficiency.

Moved in to a new house that had let the flowerbeds and bushes grow out of control. Called Tidy Up and they came out to give a quote within a week, the price was reasonable and was exactly what we ended up paying. They were out to do the work a couple weeks later.Removed a half dozen bushes, a dying hedge, and tons of weeds from multiple flowerbeds. They really went above and beyond making it all look good and cleaning up the areas. We are so happy with the work they did and how everything looks.

I have been going to Dr. Lettman for awhile now and I've found he is both professional, great for scheduling, and does a great job. I have Ehlers Danlos and a pain condition so thought I wouldn't be able to find a chiropractor that could work with me but I was wrong. He has helped my back and hips so much.
I can't say enough about how thorough, patient and professional Dr. Tim is. He is one of the few chiropractors who works with both the spine and muscles which make treatments so much more effective. He is always willing to answer my questions and even offers tips for improving my exercises at home. Highly recommended.

A few days before leaving the country for a wedding, our dog, Hank got a corneal ulcer. Our regular vet was very adamant that he needed to be checked while we were gone to ensure that his eye was healing properly because he could have been at risk of losing his eye if things went wrong.
I was panicked, and our dog was staying with my parents in Dubuque while we were gone. Even with last minute notice, PetMed was able to come to their house - which saved my parents + Hank the stress of having to take him in, and on top of that they were great! My mom said they were quick + efficient, and super friendly. They were extremely kind to work with, and I am so grateful they were able to help us out!

A wonderful group of amazing instructors. Some classes are more challenging than others which is great if you’re looking for variety. Also, modifications are offered for any class which is helpful if you’re new! They never blare music so you can hear the ques clearly and they make you feel confident and comfortable no matter where you are in your fitness journey. Great for any level!
Oh I can just do yoga at home, they say! Well, it just isn't the same and you're missing out by not attending a class at B-1 Yoga. Even if you consider yourself a longtime yogi, each class provides a new challenge. I've never had attended a bad class here in my years going to B-1. The Dubuque community is lucky to have this studio.
I love coming here for a monthly float! It's a chance to unwind and to not think about everything that stresses me out for just a 30min float. (They also offer 60min and 90min) Sometimes, I just can't relax or sit still, and my mind runs constantly, but my float is the one spot where I make it my mission to make myself my mission. The owner is super down to earth and has provided Dubuque with a unique spa experience.My personal recommendation:Wear the ear plugs, use the water pillow, and have the music labeled 'Dawn' play for the whole float. Enjoy!

Just walking into the beautiful, calming rooms is a wonderful start to the massage. Sindi has magic fingers that unwind all my muscles. She gives me relief from a knee surgery that damaged my nerves. It’s heavenly!
I’ve been doing personal training with Travis for quite awhile. He’s been with me through the highs and the lows. Never judging, always steering me in the right path, and showing me that with hard work, comes results. He has always customized specific workout routines to help with my goals, and every workout there is something new. When I start his workouts I always ask myself how the heck I’m going to get through it, but I always do and end up feeling proud of myself thanks to him. Travis’ personal training is affordable, makes you feel accomplished, and helps you get your life back on track.

The name is appropriate. A very comfortable and professional experience. A nice room with shower and table is where the magic happens. Warm lotion and soft music make for a relaxing massage. Rub down from toe to head without a lot of chatter. Not something I do often but the next time I will be calling for a repeat visit
We were up in Galena for a few days and stopped to see Candy and Sue for 90 minute massages. We absolutely love coming to this salon and these 2 ladies always leave us feeling rested and refreshed. The place is clean and well run but the service and quality of massage from Candy and her coworker Sue is extraordinary. I would be a customer at China Star once a week if I lived up in Galena.
