“If there's anything I can say, it's don't be a bad customer like me!! I literally called this morning asking if they had any openings for today. Instead of being rude about it, they said they could take me at 1:30 pm! And even though I brushed my hair before I got there, the wind made it tangled again. (So sorry to Aimee who had a lot of patience to brush it.) But despite all of this mayhem that I put them through, they were so nice to me and combed out my hair and cut my hair just how I requested it (V-cut with layers). I think I'll come back in the future considering that their haircuts are relatively less expensive than other salons I've gone to (here was $55 including hairwash, other places are $75+ not including a hairwash). Again, she was so nice to me despite how unorganized I was! Thank you Aimee!“

“I had the pleasure of working with Zoey and Whitney from Reveal Hair & Makeup during my elopement ceremony on Oahu in December. They both could not have been more personable, kind and professional. It's a family owned and friendly atmosphere inside the salon. They have a convenient location with validated parking and many good products including Paul Mitchell. “Giving Lena a review because it looks like no one has done so since pre-pandemic. I went to Lena in September to get my eyebrows tattooed. I was super hesitant because I saw my mom do it in the 1990s and she had an allergic reaction and looked horrible for a week. Anyway, I'm getting to the point in my life where my appearance is still important to me, but I just want to look good without putting in too much effort. Yes, I am lazy. Anyhoo Lena was quick to respond to my email inquiry about what type of brow service I should do. I was initially thinking microblading because it is less permanent and seems to be popular these days, however after consultation Lena suggested getting my eyebrows tattooed. I have sparse non-existent eyebrows. I looked totally different with makeup and without makeup, mainly because I had no eyebrows. I would go to yoga work up a sweat and come out looking like a totally different person because my brows would melt off. After getting my brows tattooed, my husband says it looks like I have makeup on all the time, that's how much of a difference it has made. Like he thought I was hot before, but now I'm even hotter because I have nice eyebrows all the time. Lena did a fabulous job. My eyebrows are symmetrical and perfectly proportioned. The process took about 1.5 hours and I felt very little pain. I went back a month later and she touched up my eyebrows to make sure they were settling in well. Highly recommend Lena! Go get your eyebrows done by her, she's truly a professional at the top of her game.“

Our stylist was calm and confident, answering all of our questions on-site and via email, making sure we were comfortable with the services, and giving us some breaks along the way. As a destination bride, I had so many people ask if I was nervous about not having a trial for hair or makeup, but I felt fully confident thanks to all of our conversations before the wedding. “I love my hair! I got the hair straightening perm done and my hair is soft and straight. I couldn't find any salon on maui that could do that. I would diffinetly be flying back to oahu to go to ava salon to get retouching done when my hair grows back.“

“I am one who has had issues with my skin my whole life. Here's a little history... I've dealt with oily acne prone skin with rosacea, then left with acne scars and still dealing with adult acne well into adulthood and motherhood, then getting melasma due to menopause with still some flare ups here and there. I have been to countless dermatologists, cosmetic dermatologists, plastic surgeons, name brand spas to hole in the wall spas for so many different treatments and facials and medications (oral and topical). I have tried almost every skincare treatment for acne... the list is so long I can't write or remember them all. Accutane, Obaji, Proactive, Eminence, Saranghee, Brand MD, Tresor Rare, Retin-A, fillers and fat replacement in my acne scars (so temporary), microbrasion, dermabrasion, peels, etc... I can't remember them all, but if it was advertised somewhere, I tried it. And believe me when I say I have spent thousands of dollars trying to get that flawless beautiful skin. I have had so many 'one and done' facials. It's like all they did was give me a longer face wash than I would've done myself with some perfumey lotions and a massage and out the door I went. Looking and feeling no better. I really can't remember when I started to go to Connie's Salon to see my eyebrow lady. It could've been back in 2008-2010?? I really never inquired about any of the other services in the salon because I already have an awesome hairstylists and I was just not into trying to let any one else near my skin again. One day while waiting for my eyebrow appt, Ejay was asking a girl how was it? She seemed humbly happy. Although she was young, her skin just looked nice! Looking at her clean smooth white skin made me giddy. And I wasn't the one who had the facial. Right there I booked my first facial with Connie sometime in March 2018. She asked me what issues do I think I have... I have oily acne prone skin. But she tells me that I have dry skin with mild acne and discoloration most likely due to melasma. I really didn't get my hopes up as for great results. But man, when Connie was done, I was smiling from ear to ear! In just over an hour, she made my skin look more plump (hydrated), even toned, acne looked less harsh, my skin looked smoother and glowy! My skin wasn't perfect but I felt so good and happy when I looked in the mirror. Whatever concoction she whipped up for my face smelt and felt good. I think I kept booking appts for every two weeks for months. I also bought her serum, orchid cream, and night cream. By the end of 2018, Only seeing Connie for about eight to nine months, I didn't feel like I looked my age! I was so giddy smiley a lot. I can't believe it took me over 40 years to find this beautiful soul that always makes me feel and look pretty. Going to Connie for me is like therapy for my skin and soul for peace of mind. I can go in stressed or unhappy and leave feeling lighter, more hopeful, and feeling pretty. I admit, my skin could be a lot more better looking for the time I've been seen Connie, but it's because of me. I get into a funk and fall off my skin care routine. Then after a month or so of MIA, I'll see Connie and BOOM! She makes me look so refreshed. Her facials and products is what has helped keep me from getting bad acne flare ups and keep my melasma flare ups to a bare minimum. Connie has helped me look and feel my best with my skin. I am so thankful to have Connie helping and keeping me on track with my skin care. Love love love you!“
