My daughter got married this past weekend, and she brought her wedding dress with her from Texas on Thursday night. We went to La Mar Dry Cleaners and explained that we needed the dress steamed before the end of the day Friday. A huge ask before the wedding!

Not only did they immediately jump on our urgent request, but they also took care of the groom’s suit and both of their sons’ suits as well. Their kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help were truly outstanding and so appreciated.

“So, full transparency, I’ve never been to a dry cleaners before. I think maybe once I went to a dry cleaner to see if they could clean a very large blanket that I had, but I don’t even recall, leaving it with them. In any case, as I am fairly new to the neighborhood and am within walking distance, I thought this was a great time to See what this dry cleaning thing was all about. Shortly after my birthday brunch, I noticed one or two very faint smears on my very new and very clean cream-colored knit joggers. I took them in on a Monday or Tuesday and they were ready by Thursday, but I totally forgot and picked it up a few days after. If you ever think you’re going to forget your cleaning slip, my tip is to take a picture of it. They can easily use that if you don’t remember to bring the paper with you. It’s very interesting that your clothes are delivered through an automation task that opens a special window on the outside of the store to let you get your belongings.
