“Integrity, Expertise, Cost. These are the things I look at when I’m hiring anyone to do work. When I asked the USAA insurance adjustor for a roofer recommendation, he recommended Juan from Avatar Roofing, saying, “He’s a straight shooter.” Nevertheless, I had 3 other highly rated roofers come out to provide quotes. As it turned out, Avatar Roofing had the best price, but the clincher was when Juan pointed out some things (with photos) about the roof that needed correcting, which none of the other roofers saw. I guess that’s where 30+ years in the roofing business gave him an advantage. So that covers Expertise and Cost, both A’s. Juan gets an A for Integrity, also. We had a problem that came up and Juan took care of it without any hassles. I suspect most roofers would have said “too bad”. So that’s it, A’s in all three categories that I consider most important. The crew showed up on time and everything went well. And Jasmine, in the office, kept us updated along the way. My wife and I are very happy and confident our new roof will keep us dry for another 20 years“

“I walked this roofer project through a process and took the time to educate myself and my company while we were bidding out our commercial roofer job.Before we even started calling roofers, we learned what a quality roof was, what questions to ask your roofing contractor and what the roofing experts recommended for our type of roof.Once we called roofers in Fontana it was an easy process to eliminate almost all of them because of all of the due diligence we had done and all if the knowledge we had gained.At the end, we had to go with HighPoint Roofing because Derrick was quality focused, was able to answer all of our questions satisfactorily and was the most responsive.Their contractor’s license was valid, they had more than enough insurance and the entire process with them just went so smooth.I especially liked the fact that Derrick wasn’t a pushy salesman like some of the other contractors that came over. “We had a leak, Billy came with his son, fixed it and charged $100 but he did not take the money until it was tested by the rain. After tested we sent him the check. He came back 2nd time because the leak was still unfixed after it rained a few times with strong wind then 3rd time he sent his brother to fix it (seemed a different issue with nails on the roof) but they did not charge anything since it is the same spot. Our roof survived Ian and we will have Billy back to inspect the whole roof since we might lose some shingles. We trust that Billy is very honest like his company's name and never overcharge you. Would recommend him to friends.“

“These folks know their job, understand customer service and give good quality work which is a value albeit expensive. First, they come fast for an estimate. Yes they call you back when others didn’t. The contract is easy to understand. Unlike other contractors, the manager (Christina) knows what’s going on and keeps you in the loop. Excellent communication. No surprises. Our estimate went about 5k over estimate but that was expected either all the wood they had to replace. They arranged for a wind mitigation specialist to come afterwards to do a report so one can submit it to your insurance company for a decrease in premium. It wasn’t small either.The only negative was that the guys trampled our flowers and didn’t clean up as well as they should have leaving pieces of shingles, nails and even some larger stuff but I kind of expected some of that. Despite this I would highly recommend them and would get them again.“
