“We used Truex Preferred Construction to build our new home. I strongly recommend them. Started build on 10/08/16 (purchased the last week of August), moved in 04/03/17. I cannot tell you how absolutely happy we are with the quality of our home. Even other builder's contractors stopped by as we were building to say how Bill Truex is the best builder in the area. They pointed out things with our house to the one next door that was going up at the same time to show the difference. Seriously give them a call, you won't regret it. We've been in 6 years and 5 months now. They have also been so receptive to any questions and referrals we've had before and after moving in. PLUS, our home had no damage in Hurricane **** and minimal damage (no construction damage) to our house from Hurricane ***. Only damage to our home was from flying debris damages that came from our neighbors home. Truex was driving but my house the next day to see if we were alright. “We asked Sal Pillegi to partially enclose an oversized courtyard by constructing a home office. His challenge was preserving the remaining courtyard in the heart of the house and matching the exterior and interior styling of the existing home so that the improvements appeared to be original construction. His task was complicated by Covid, hurricane Ian, and related supply chain issues, but he and his work family rose to the occasion. The result was simply amazing, fabulous, and greatly exceeded our expectations. Sal is professional, price-conscious, knowledgeable, and attentive to detail and his client’s issues. He is caring, a great communicator, and hardworking. His hands-on management style trickles down to his wonderful team who are polite, punctual, accommodating, and trustworthy. “Godfrey & Company were simply outstanding! The engineering competence, professionalism, transparency and integrity of the entire Godfrey staff and its contractors gave us confidence throughout this major undertaking for us and our home.At the beginning of our complete interior home renovation, Ed, Don and staff presented us with a comprehensive proposal, including a breakdown of all costs and a detailed set of 23 drawings that Don kept updated on a regular basis and when a change order was needed or requested by us. Our renovation lasted 4 months and included replacing 2,000+ sq ft of flooring, replacing our kitchen and two full bathrooms, upgrading our electrical, lighting, and plumbing systems, and a complete interior re-painting, along with other upgrades.While we were away during the renovation, Don and our project manager, Anthony, kept in virtually daily contact by text, email and phone. Godfrey also uses an easily navigable web site with complete job, management, financial and contract information. Daily or several times weekly, the web site was updated with a description of the day’s/week’s work with photographs and a description, and a text reminder was sent to us. “After getting 4 bids I hired Blaine with Catalina Construction Inc to completed a large porch addition and new roof on the entire house. In addition he removed a fplc and installed sliding glass doors in its place. I was extremely pleased with the entire process. Blaine was very responsive and made sure that all work was completed to my standards and his. Due to the large scale of the project I had additional work, or details that I missed, and Blaine had no problem working with me to complete.
