“Last week I called the Wallingford Eye Care center because I was worried that I may have a detached retina. They set up an appointment for me right away. As you can imagine, I was very anxious. The person who helped me was Anne.(or Anna- my apologies for not remembering exactly as I said, I was a bit anxious). Anne had the most soothing, calm approach with me. She walked me through each step of the eye tests that she preformed. She acknowledged my anxiety and was very empathetic and reassuring. I then met with the Doctor who again walked me through each step and explained what she found in my eye examination. Again, very reassuring and calm. I did indeed have a problem with my retina and they immediately sent me to a retina specialist. A huge shout out to Anne for being so kind and calm and reassuring.“

“Dr. Ly has seen me for many years. If I had to guess, almost 2 decades? Since I was a kid and first needed glasses, he's the only one who has got my prescription right. He is kind, patient, listens to you, and knows what he's doing. I've had problems with other eye doctor businesses (insurance changed, had to see others) who gave me bad prescriptions. He even took the time to look at the bad glasses to tell me what was wrong with them. I don't know what I'll do when either I move away or he retires! LOL Walmart's Vision Center services now take my insurance, though! So I'm grateful! (CT's Husky) People like to joke about Walmart a lot, but the Vision Center is no joke! They take care of you there. Especially the one in Naugatuck CT with Dr. Ly!!! He's the best! The other lovely folks there are also wonderful. On the phone I spoke with very polite and helpful individuals. Once, when having issues with a different business, I went to the Naugatuck Vision Center for help. I had figured out the place had installed my lenses incorrectly! I have circular frames - think Harry Potter but gold instead of black. They put them in at the wrong rotation. My lenses don't just pop out, they need to be unscrewed and put back in. The lovely people at the Naugatuck Vision Center took my glasses and fixed them for me right away, and I was just a walk-in! Didn't call or anything! Serious kudos goes out to the people who work there. Thank you all, sincerely.“

“We're incredibly grateful to have found Dr. Collier and her team. They saved our daughter's future!When we learned that all eye exams aren't created equal, we decided to give our children the best eye care they could receive. We invested the time and traveled from Stamford to Cheshire for a more comprehensive behavioral eye exam for our children and it was well beyond worth it.Dr. Collier and her team patiently examined our daughters and uncovered 4 vision issues in our 4 year old that explained some mildly unusual behaviors we had observed, but didn't know were vision related. Since we live far away from the office, Dr. Collier offered us the option of administering vision therapy to our daughter at home using their incredible 4D Built To Read program. We gladly accepted. Our daughter's engagement in learning activities increased and writing improved within just a few weeks. 12 weeks later, our daughter's follow-up exam showed that 3 out of the 4 vision issues were resolved. We were blown away and are eternally grateful to Dr. Collier and her team!Needless to say, we love 4D Vision Gym and it is THE place we recommend to family and friends near and far.“

Even when picking frames the employees were above and beyond with their customer service. I will be defiantly continuing shopping here.

“I came into this vision center frustrated at my insurance for an issue that was difficult to solve. The store was very busy but I was greeted by Steven who referred me to another female optometrist (did not catch her name). This optometrist could not assist me and responded with unhelpful answers. She told me I would have to come back another time. She could not provide me with a time or different day. She responded each of my questions with a simple “I don’t know.” I had an issue with my insurance company that provided me with information and instructions but the woman seemed to not only be unknowledgeable but she was disinterested and uncaring.

Steven saw this situation and assisted me right after taking care of another customer. He was kind, very knowledgeable and patient. He took the time to ask questions and answer my questions. He went above and beyond to enter my insurance information and called my insurance company. In the end, I was able to purchase my contacts. He saved me from another headache and possible trip back into the store. Thank you Steven for being amazing!“

Ho hum visits, just the way I like them. Change glasses and contact lens prescriptions periodically, in and out of office with nothing much to think or worry about. Several weeks back she told me I needed to have a cataract taken out and steered me to Dr. Spector. Well eyes being my second favorite body part, I was petrified to consider an eye surgery. Simply put Dr. Spector is amazing ( that coming from a perpetual cynic). Not only was he patient explaining my need for treatment , he gave me several alternatives. Laser surgery being the one I opted for. Surgery was not only painless, he was thorough, professional and just plain great. My follow up the next day solidified in my mind that he really cares about his patients and their well being. Hoping anyone reading this does NOT need eye surgery but if you should, I highly recommend Dr. Spector for surgery and any of his colleagues for basic eye care. Richard B.“

I enjoy the quality of care and the selection of glasses. There are many options to choose from. He stayed open during the COVID-19 pandemic, when other doctors I knew of decided to retired.
