I was looking for a fitness center to try out in Shelton and noticed the 5 star reviews so decided to check it out and I am glad I did. All the coaches are super friendly and more than willing to help you out wherever you are on your journey. I will like to give a special shout out to coach Ruben who I have been training with. He is honest, open, motivating (i love his quote: No challenge, no change), supportive, and I especially like how he is client focused. When he is working with you he is only focused on your workout and helping you reach your goals (he truly tunes everyone out) which I appreciate. I will end with a personal example to show much Ruben and BDx Fitness have truly helped me out. One exercise I have been working hard on is leg press and when I first started, my PR was around 140 lbs. After working with Ruben and training hard based on his program, I have gotten my PR up to 300 lbs (all in a few months). I highly recommend checking this place out and hope you have the same experience as I and many others do.“

Then I found Marc. His skill set is advanced for sure, but what really puts him over the top is his ability to not only listen, but to accommodate. He comes directly to my home and provides any and all equipment we need to work with that day. So all I needed to do was be ready to workout and be willing to follow his nutrition recommendations. In the short 12 weeks I've been with him so far, I've lost 25lbs and 5 inches from my waist alone. I highly recommend Marc Ouellette because his abilities expand far beyond helping with weight loss. 33 Bullet Hill Rd #311, Southbury“I trained w/ Brian from last May 2022 thru early 2023. Not only was he great to work with, he is encouraging, knowledgeable, funny and straightforward. He makes training/working out fun and worthwhile. I learned a lot and continue to put into practice what he taught me (from what I can remember). He would fit me into his schedule 9/10 times, even on short notice. If he couldn't, I would go to PF or take a night off. The only reason I stopped going was a financial one. When I started, I was in a better financial position. But as time went on, my situation changed. He and Joni were very accommodating and understanding of my situation. I'm hoping to continue with Brian in the near future once my situation changes. I have a trip planned for March 2023 that I need to be in shape for. I highly recommend Body Physics.“

I have had numerous surgeries over the years and Pedro always works with me to adjust my exercise program during those times. I have also over the years had some bumps in the road with family issues. Pedro is always concerned with my health. He is also very knowledgeable about nutrition which I believe goes hand in hand with exercise. Pedro’s always puts forth a positive approach with my well being. Very happy! Susan“

I had my annual physical today and while I still have work to do to bring my weight down, all vitals, strength tests, blood work and the like show that I am healthy and doing well. My doctor commented on how much healthier I am then many 30 somethings he sees. I can't take all (or most of) the credit. The strength training and dietary guidance from Anything Goes and Jolene have help tremendously as has a regular program of exercise. Thank you Anything Goes!!!“

35 Nutmeg Dr STE 105, Trumbull“During my first visit, Dr. Craig Spann was able to get to the bottom of what was causing the shoulder/ arm pain and numbness I had been experiencing for the last few years. Subsequent visits along with specific exercises provided for me to do at home over the next few months helped to alleviate the symptoms to a point where I am now virtually pain free. Craig is an outstanding physical therapist who very clearly explains the "why" behind his diagnosis and treatment plan. He has gone above and beyond to answer my many questions and help provide me with information to help with my recovery. I highly recommend Dr. Craig Spann to anyone looking for relief and healing from pain and injuries.“

With Lou’s knowledge and custom program my knees have strengthened and the pain has all but disappeared. I cannot wait to see what the future holds . Lou is helping me rebuild my body after years of abuse from extra weight. Lou makes you feel comfortable, no judgement. Lou has also helped me greatly with my mindset. 12 Fountain St, New Haven“I have been working with Active Wellness now for over 4 years, and I highly recommend working with them. We started with workouts in person in their New Haven studio, but then the Pandemic started and I moved to a different state. Since then, Christina and Drew have been more than accommodating in working with me remotely, which we have done for 3 years.Over the course of that journey, I've had very different goals at different phases in my life. The first phase was before and during the Pandemic, when I managed to lose 45 pounds and reach my lowest weight since college, while reaching my peak fitness in that same period.Christina and Drew were incredible in building a foundation of fitness with a regimented program that built incrementally, starting from my core strength and building all the stabilization muscles to enable all planes of movement without risking injury. I had prior experience with workout plans from high school sports, and I don't think I could have found a program that worked so well without Christina and Drew's help. Workouts were incredibly varied, so it felt new and refreshing, and I felt new muscles get fatigued like my obliques and gluteus medius.It was also great to have individual and group coaching sessions during the Pandemic that helped contextualize the research behind diet, nutrition, muscle building, and fitness with the backdrop of mental wellness and finding motivation to reach our individual goals. These really helped me focus on maintaining my diet to keep my weight loss journey going, since diet is just as important as exercise, if not more so.After the pandemic, I went through a life transition, which meant attending far more social functions and finding far less time to workout. Christina and Drew were nonjudgmental and completely accepting that my life priorities were different now, so our training and coaching would reflect maintaining a base level of health and fitness as opposed to the level of dedication I had during the Pandemic. My core is still as strong as ever, but I have definitely regained a few pounds.Christina and Drew are truly kind, supportive, and helpful in trying to fill whatever blindspots you're struggling with in your health journey. For example, when I had questions on difficult subjects like resting metabolic rates of calorie burning between a pound of muscle vs a pound of fat, they did their homework on their own time to get me an answer. It really shows they are personally invested in your health and success, no matter what your individual goals may be. I unequivocally recommend working with Active Wellness to anyone who is able.“
