We had some water entering during last year's rains, and Sharon was able to diagnose the problem and recommend a great solution. They removed an old balcony where water was entering and waterproofed and repaired the stucco and installed a faux balcony (custom made by someone Sharon recommended). “The AKR team did a pretty big project for us, including a complete kitchen remodel, removing a wall, moving and expanding a door, and replacing the flooring in half of the house. So, when we moved to a new residence and have remodeling needs early this year, I did not hesitate a second and just picked up the phone to call Joseph, skipping the otherwise frustrating process of searching for qualified contractors. “We had a deck on the 2nd floor of our house that was beginning to develop cracks in the floor and also wood rot on the railing. We wanted to get this fixed before the rainy season since the deck is above part of the dining room on the first floor. I found many companies on yelp and other sites but many charged ridiculous amounts or were not accommodating when it came down to the types of materials that were used. Luckily I found Finley Construction and called Jeff who is the owner. He is very prompt and efficient and had the entire deck and railing replaced in about 5 days. He also charged a reasonable price relative to the others that I had spoken to. One other thing to know is that he recently moved out to California a few years ago from Nebraska where he was a contractor for many years. Given the more extreme weather in Nebraska, if you can build and remodel houses there, you can do it anywhere. I highly recommend him.“
