“I had pavers put in about 10 years ago and I am just posting to say how it is still holding up and still looks nice I would recommend getting the pavers sealed as they suggested by I said no and I regret it because I do have to weed more often than I wanted to but that was my fault!

“We were doing a partial bathroom renovation, replacing tile, painting, replacing the vanity, pretty straightforward. I had met with four other contractors at this point, and the estimates were VASTLY spread out, and many were vague or just a lump sum estimate without scope of work details. “We first hired Steve and crew to replace a fence on the side of our house, and get rid of a planter and pour concrete to increase the size of the driveway. One of Steve's employees/subcontractors named Dean did the work. He did an amazing job. Super detail oriented, and organized throughout the job. It pretty much came out perfect.Since we were so impressed with this job, we hired Steve again to do some concrete and stucco repair work on the house then paint the exterior. Our house had many cracks, so it was a decent sized job. There were some issues with the visibility of the crack repairs, so Steve came in and redid the stucco on large portions of the house at no cost to us. We were very impressed by this responsiveness. “These guys are great! Finding reliable, competent contractors with fair pricing in the Valley is virtually impossible. Oscar and his team offer all of the above. They did an amazing job laying a concrete foundation for my BBQ area. I also had them do all the electrical for my backyard renovation. They installed all the outlets and lighting fixtures and did a fantastic job. Their whole crew was super friendly and easy to work with. Lastly, after the job was completed, I realized that we had miscommunicated on one of the electrical outlets and it needed to be swapped out for a different box. Oscar graciously offered to come back and change it for me. The thoughtful customer service was so refreshing. I'm a customer for life!“

“We wanted to take advantage of LADWP's turf removal rebate, and figured it would be a good time to have the entire front and back yard relandscaped. A friend had their property relandscaped by GRL; I liked the look of what they had done, and decided to go with the same firm.Our general wishes were to have something drought-tolerant, reasonably low maintenance, and able to accommodate a high energy dog. We didn't have a lot of detailed ideas about specific plants or layouts, but did mention a few general preferences, including a wish for a dry streambed and a general fondness for boulders. Motti provided a detailed landscape plan which looked reasonable and included pictures of all proposed plants. We discussed options for decomposed granite color, pebble and rock size, the flow of paths, and other details. The cost was on the high end of our budget; Motti worked with us to decide what parts of the plan would be implemented later. The landscaping installation crew was top notch - efficient, tidy, knowledgeable. Kimberly, the project manager, was on site every day, checking in with us about plant placement, taking me boulder shopping, and becoming fast friends with the dog. Every bit of logistics was handled by GRL. I cannot imagine how long it would have taken us to do all of the work ourselves. Motti helped me complete the final submission to LADWP for the rebate approval, including taking photos and advising me on proper wording. I was keeping a close eye on compliance with LADWP's guidelines: counting to make sure we had the needed number of plants, checking that we weren't using any plants which are prohibited (I did catch one plant in the GRL plan that wasn't allowed, so be aware that you the consumer must supervise on this), and monitoring where the areas of removed turf were (since other parts of the relandscaped yard were not part of the turf rebate program).It's now been slightly more than half a year since installation was finished, and the vast majority of the plants are flourishing. There was one initial round of plant death for one particular cultivar in the worst heat of a very hot summer; those have been replaced with a hardier variety which is doing fine. A few other plants died in late fall/early winter - again, all to be expected. You'll want to budget for that. Neighbors and friends all say the yards look wonderful. There are things that we'd like to tweak, but on the whole, delighted with the entire project. Really liked working with all of GRL!“

“Pearl did an amazing job on my patio deck. We used to have an old and cracked concrete pad for the floors and a rotting wood cover on top of it. We were looking to make it a bit more contemporary. With Pearl's help we designed a modern structure covered with stucco and some wood work on top of it for some contrast. This required an actual plan submitted to the city believe it or not but I guess they have to do for the building permit process. It took some time but eventually we got approved. We went with an Ipe deck for the floors, no stain was added, just a clear coat for protection. The result is amazing! They have exceeded our expectation. From the very beginning they were on time, kept us informed on the permit process and everything. As in every project I'm sure we have minor delays but I rather wait and get better results than finish fast and then feel sorry for not perfecting the project or making mistakes“

Because I’m a Daycare Provider in my yard is used 50% more of the time daily and also I have two very wild dogs that could have destroyed it.
