“My 5 year old granddaughter started karate at Sanford martial arts and was nervous because she didn't know anyone. The instructors gently direct the kids and are incredibly patient and encouraging. They even sent a card to my granddaughter praising her effort which made her feel confident and proud. This has been a wonderful experience.“

“Great instructors in a fantastic location. Each instructors have a wealth of knowledge. They enjoy teaching and take the time with each student to make sure they succeed in learning. The facility used was in a prime location. (Close to restaurants and hotels) The facility was clean and had all the equipment you needed to complete each task.“

“I thought it would be funny to leave a review about a guy with a bad attitude who wants to learn how to beat people up that keeps walking in the door and outside. He can't figure out how he ends up outside the more forcefully he enters the door. He looks up at the frame, it says Aikido Door Company. If you need a locksmith get Lucky but if you need to flip your attitude and roll come here!“

“My sons (13y and 10y) have been attending Lightspeed Martial Arts for about a year and a half. It is a great, safe, friendly and fun place to learn martial arts. It has noticeably increased their confidence, focus, self-discipline and motivation - even when at school! They also learn about respect, anti bullying, self-defense and programs to help them get back into school after summer break. Highly recommend this place. They offer classes from age 3 to adult.“

“Dragon Martial arts is relatively new and is a gem that people might miss. Located in the same lot as Kings Paints, this martial arts studio has been a great place to send the kids on Saturday morning while I visit the farmers market just down the street. He's also open after school 4 to 6(?), I'm not sure when the last class starts; but it's a great activity for my son between homework and dinner. Master Will is a fantastic teacher. He's kind, patient, supportive, and great with kids. His school is open to all ages; during my visits it's been mostly kids. I know that Master Will has grown up around here and, being a local, he understands our community. Martial arts has been a wonderful exercise that teaches discipline and gives my kids something to work towards! If you have the opportunity, I'd recommend you give it a shot. The first class is free so it's worth checking out.“

“My daughter has thoroughly enjoyed being a student of Choi's Tae Kwon Do. She is continuing to learn, grow and flourish with the guidance of her teachers. Master Choi has the perfect balance of lightheartedness and discipline. She and the rest of the teachers and students are great role models for newer students. I highly recommend this Tae Kwon Do studio to anyone seeking to learn as the environment is extremely positive and uplifting!“

“Sensei Preston offers an authentic expression of Okinawan karate, having studied under Grand Master Shoshin Nagamine himself. As a student, I not only learned the physical, but much more importantly, the cultural and mental aspects of karate. Classes are intense, focused, and after a year or two, I was in such good shape, I could run for an hour and not even be winded. I was a student for several years before I got sidetracked by work obligations... I miss it very much, and intend to return to classes the first chance I get. If you want an authentic, and complete, karate experience, not just stripped down physical martial arts training, then there's no better place to get it than the Santa Cruz Matsubayashi Karate Dojo. Sensei also offers classes for children. My kids were students for a while (they also got side tracked) and enjoyed it very much. I'm hoping to return them to classes soon.“

“I love the approach Gracie takes with beginners in the Combatives program. Focus on fundamental techniques and safe training practices before more advanced rolling is a great idea. The program is very structured and complimented with online technique video demonstrations. The instructors and fellow students are knowledgeable and welcoming. This is the only school I recommend to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu beginners.“
