I love the approach Gracie takes with beginners in the Combatives program. Focus on fundamental techniques and safe training practices before more advanced rolling is a great idea. The program is very structured and complimented with online technique video demonstrations. The instructors and fellow students are knowledgeable and welcoming. This is the only school I recommend to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu beginners.

I started taking Women Empowered classes here about 6 months ago and absolutely loved it. The instructors are very kind and help maintain a safe and friendly environment. I love this place because it's clean, serious, and very welcoming to beginners. When I first set out to start jiu-jitsu, I was worried about being in a gym that had a bit of a macho/agressive and male dominated vibe, but this place was so welcoming that I ended up doing the co-ed adult combatives. All the students and staff here are kind, respectful people. I would definitely recommend it, especially if you're new to the sport.
