“Excellent services from the Dr to the staff. Everyone was very professional, knowledgeable and detailed. For the first time I understood the different types of glasses that I should purchased without any pressure. I very highly do recommend Eye Boutique to anyone needing this type of service.“
“Steven was soooooo nice & extremely helpful since we came in!! He welcomed us in and gave us a 1000/10 experience & made sure we left happy and satisfied!! I totally recommend being helped out by him!“
“Super nice lady, repaired me and my friends glasses fast for no cost since we got our glasses at another target.“
“The entire staff was extremely professional and friendly! Thanks to Eric, Dr. Julie, and Vidhya for their thorough, customized, and efficient support during my eye exam and through my purchasing process. The communication between the team and with their patients/clients is top-tier. I was their first appointment of the day, so there was no wait time. While buying my new set of glasses, they informed me of additional perks they offer, which was helpful to know. I've been a customer with Warby Parker for 5+ years, and they've consistently set a high bar at all the locations I've been to, including their Santana Row and San Francisco locations. As of 2024 in San Jose, the basic eye exam for glasses was $85 out of pocket. (I didn't get an exam for contact lenses so tbd on that price.) They have additional testing available if you want a comprehensive eye exam. I'll absolutely return to this well-run store.“
“I visited the office today. They have one room for glasses and two separate rooms for exams with many different machines. I was very pleased with the exam. The doctor was attentive, with a good sense of humor and polite. I think he keeps the curiosity sharp, which is important for his profession. He checked everything I asked to check. They are in the VSP network if it matters. Staff cares and helps as they can. The only thing which you should consider: they are pretty booked for eye exams, so if you want a visit, call them first, dropping by may not work.“
“Had a thorough eye exam with Dr. Yujia Zhang. She is very nice and patient with all issues and questions/symptoms I have.“
“C Sharp is truly the best optometrist shop in the South Bay. Dr. Bahn and his staff work hard to make sure the customer gets the right prescription, and are incredibly attentive and detail-oriented to resolve any issues that affect customer vision or comfort. Wendy, in particular, listens carefully, is heroically patient, is highly precise with glasses adjustments, and holds their suppliers and vendors to the highest of standards. My extremely high prescription has long made it horribly difficult and frustrating to get my vision right, but C Sharp has persistently stuck with me to find the right glasses and contact lenses. I'm so grateful for their help!“
“Very thorough and knowledgeable. Nice clean friendly environment and good customer service for sure. Lots of information and quick fair price quotes. However, sort of made me feel like I was a bad person for letting my eyes go without care and because my eyesite is not the greatest.“
“I always forget that Target has an optical section. It's located right next to the Pharmacy. Came by the other day to see if I could use my vision insurance to pick up a pair of plano (non-prescription) sunglasses. Liann gave a great overview of the policy and was way more helpful than Site for Sore Eyes, my usual optometry that turned me down for the same request. Short Answer: you can, but would need to show documentation of the vision correction procedure (LASIK, EVO ICL, etc) with the date and doctor's name. This varies by store and insurance in California. No issues if you have a prescription. Liann helped me through my order, got it processed online, and I'm about two weeks away from receiving my Ray-Bans. Happy, easy experience. Would recommend.“
“Dr. Helen and her staff are amazing! Dr. Helen takes the time to answer allll your questions and you can tell she cares about her patients. Plus, her handwriting is amazing- like what?? What doctor has perfect handwriting? Her staff are super helpful and patient as well. I feel lucky to have found such an awesome optometrist!“
“I have been going to to Cupertino Optometry since it was first opened more than 10 years ago. I'm so thankful that Dr. Yang bought the practice and continued the excellent care this eye clinic has always provided. I had a little scare over the weekend and talked to front staff Ashley about my issue. Within 10 minutes, Ashley called back with Dr. Yang's referral to a retinal specialist and instruction to go to ER if I can't be seen by the specialist in a timely manner. Ashley also faxed my record to the other clinic right away so they would have some baseline data. I have since been examined by the specialist and also received a call from Dr. Yang inquiring about my visit with the specialist. Over the long phone call, she asked about my diagnosis, took time to answer my questions, and cautioned about certain exercises to avoid while I'm in this state. She really cares! Over the years, I continue to be impressed with the care provided by Dr. Yang and her staff, Ashley and Sadie. They take that responsibility very seriously and it's obvious that they have a genuine interest in the health of their patients. If you are looking for a some one to care for your eye, look no further as Dr. Yang is the one!“
“Dr. Shao is such a genuine doctor. He is very approachable and truly cares about the wellbeing of his patience. He did extra work whenever possible to teach us how to exercise at home in order to improve his son's vision. He is a thorough, caring, kind, and responsible man. I can't praise him enough for his professionalism. With his work, my son's vision improved greatly. I am so grateful to him as a mom. He is the kind of doctor I would recommend to any of my friends.“
“Handled an urgent issue expertly and made time in thier busy schedule with the same kindness that you're seen with the entire visit. Very knowledgeable and good bedside manner. Place was super clean and the staff was super nice.“
“I went here for my annual eye exam and I was happy with my experience! I appreciated the thorough exam to make sure that my eyes were healthy and to verify my current prescription was up to date. Dr Dinh also answered all of my questions and gave his honest opinion and feedback. Vee at the front was very sweet and patient. She helped verify that my insurance was covered and also let me know that with my insurance that I had the option to use the coverage towards new eyeglass frames or contact lenses. They have interesting work hours but they are super responsive to voicemails and get back to messages very quickly. I look forward to coming back to future appointments.“
“Great service and attention.i bought two pairs of glasses as part of my FSA funds. Great“
“I got my procedure done at Iqlaservision on the 26th of August and it's been a week. I had the Evo Vision ICl procedure done and it was amazing. The staff was very professional and caring. Dr. Amy Barrion (my surgeon) was stellar. She was very quick and it was done painlessly. If you need any questions on the cost and how to finance the procedure, talk to Patrick. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with how this turned out. They also have a raffle for a free procedure so it never hurts to schedule an appointment.“
“They work well with kids. My 7 yr old had no problem getting his eyes dilated. Also they detected my older son had mytopia, which no other optometrist ever told us. They recommended we go to a specialist“
“The owner is so sweet and helpful. She helped me to fix my father's eyeglasses and didn't charge anything.“
“We love Dr Wada and his staff. Doctor Wada is so easy going and thorough. He will happily answer any questions you have. We have never had any billing issues at this practice. They also never put any type of pressure to buy glasses or pay for additional stuff. This has been the first and only optometry practice we've been to since moving up to Bay Area almost 10 years ago. My only "complaint" is that I wish they were more automated and sent text reminders for appointments.“
“It was time for my annual eye exam. I was mainly looking for a place that would sell some higher end Japanese frames in the area like Masunaga's and found this was one of the few places nearby without having to make a trip to San Francisco. I'll break this review into: Before visiting, checking in process, exam, and finding frames. Before visiting, you can schedule a visit online with one of 2 doctors at this location. I would highly recommend doing so as YMMV if you walk in during the day. Once you select a date, you'll eventually get a text and email to pre-fill some things before your first visit. This is fairly typical like name, address, and insurance. What I did find odd was the request for medical insurance. This location does provide recommendations for Lasik among other things which I guess is where medical insurance may provide some additional coverage. Anyways, the whole process takes about 20 minutes or so assuming you don't have a lot of specifics to go over. From there, you can browse their online inventory which filters by location. I'll just leave a caveat in that their online inventory mentions somethings are in stock but are really not in stock when I did actually visit. They also do have a very limited inventory of Masunaga's. On arrival, I parked near the Hatton Garage and it was a short walk over to the shop. It seemed like they were just opening up as there was only 1 client other than me and the others were shuffling around preparing some things. I had someone who was a very clear new hire getting some training so my experience was one of the trainee parroting the exact phrase the trainer just whispered to them while I'm right next to them. All is fine, though I do think the trainee could work on their enthusiasm a bit (I assumed they were just very nervous) and less monotone. The gist was: hand over ID, ask for insurance again, mention it should all already be on my profile, got confirmation it was, review via tablet my info, wait for the scanner room to be wiped, and get my eyes scanned. I'd mention that their scanner is a bit higher end than other opticians I've visited in the area. There is also a CT scan (as I'm told) of the back of the eye to check for things that can be missed during visual inspection. Once the scans were done, the doctor's room in just right across the hall in the small shop. You are seated and go through the usual "what line can you see", "read the smallest line", "is lens A or B better", etc. After which the doctor (Katalina Yandell during my visit) goes over their findings and suggestions on some things. There was some light recommendations but I wouldn't really say it was aggressive up-selling as some other reviewers has mentioned. All in all, I got brought out and the shop was now a bit busier than when I came in (roughly 3 other clients) while they seated me in one of their two Optician tables. As mentioned, I mainly chose this location as it had a handful of brands I was interested in. Masunaga being the primary one of interest to me but there's brands like Lindberg, Zero G, and Cartier. Some of these brands are iykyk brands of interest so I'd suggest doing your research prior to coming in otherwise you may have to come away dealing with some sticker shock price tags. With that said, I was looking for a primarily titanium daily use frame that with rectangular shape. The Masunaga's I did find interesting online were not available (Mies II) that I was interested in. I did check after I left and it is still shown in stock on their website so I think its more of an inventory only updated once a while than kept up-to-date in near real time. I ended up trying a few frames and ended up purchasing a eyeglass and sunglass frame with lens. The prices were roughly average. You can find the frames themselves online to be roughly the same price or cheaper even after VSP benefits had been applied. Once the frames were selected, the optician was going over some options with lens“
“As usual the staff was super helpful and Dr. Gaudreau was super sweet and knowledgeable! Highly recommend“
“Dr. Abe is one of the most caring and detail-oriented doctor available. He’s extremely patient and helpful. I’m very grateful for all his time examining my eyes and providing suggestions.“
“Dr Mendelson is an excellent doctor. He is very experienced and professional. He takes care of both my kids and my family for years. We are very lucky to have him. I cannot say enough good things about him.“
“I have had Dr. Calmere as my eye doctor for 4 years. I originally went to Dr. Zimmerman in that same office pretty much forever until he retired. After that I tried another office with bad results so I thought I would try Silicon Valley Eyecare again. I recall Dr. Calmere filling in for Dr. Zimmerman one time and he seemed pretty decent. After having him for the last 4 years I plan on sticking with him for a while. During my annual checkups I always have questions about the results and I am happy with the time he takes to explain things (I am VERY nearsighted and am extra careful about my eyesight). He is obviously well-educated and he applies his knowledge in ways that make a lot of sense. He seems to be current with his specialty but is careful about what he recommends. And I never feel rushed in my appointments. Unlike another Yelper I have never found Dr. Calmere "selling" me. Yes, I agreed to use the Optimap, but that makes another procedure unnecessary for me (getting my eyes dilated, which was needed in the past if you are very myopic). The office staff seem pretty nice and professional. The only negative I can see is that they seem to have a bit of turnover in that office.“
“Great doctors and great care!! Went in and they were incredibly helpful, on-time, and efficient!“
