They were also very understanding of a challenging living situation and helped us remedy, not only practically but with moral support. Finally, they have been true heroes during these wildfires. My aunt lives in evacuation zone and they sprung into action to get her out of there and to a relative's house (who was not nearby!). Working with Grant and the Sola team was easy and they were very accommodating to my schedule to show the units. They upkeep the property and the bathrooms nicely, I haven’t ever had to complain about them being dirty which is not the case with many landlords.

Frankie has been my hairstylist for years and she always does a phenomenal job and knows exactly what color will look best uniquely on me. I saw another hairstylist for highlights out of state where I go to school, and she over-bleached my hair, did not blend it well and added a very ashy toner. I came to Frankie once I got home to correct what I thought was irreversible, and she exceeded my expectations and made my hair feel like mine again! She is such a talented and reliable stylist, I couldn’t recommend her enough!
The Damn GOOD Pedicure truly lives up to its name: damn good! I’m still adjusting from the quick and immediate life of nail salons to the small and personalized experience of a private studio but I’m loving the attention to detail, which the opposite, was my biggest pet peeve at (most) nail salons. It’s worth it! Go get a damn good pedicure!
I’ve been looking for the services provided by MKM Nails for quite some time without any luck until I found Mallory at MKM nails. I wanted to find a CLEAN space to have my manicures (I’m really bad at doing my own nails).My nails have special needs- they are thin and brittle and they cannot handle the rough tools used at all of the other salons I had visited in the past. Mallory takes her time to make sure you get the cleanest and most precise manicure. I just love my nails, I can’t tell you enough. I do the dazzle dry manicure. This polish can be removed easily with nail polish remover (no soaking drills etc). It dries very quickly after it is applied so no wait time and it lasts way longer than a traditional manicure without the damage caused by gel polish. If you have sensitized, brittle, thin, delicate, problematic nail beds then Mallory at MKM Nails is a must see. You can easily book online on her website. Irene was absolutely fantastic! Not only did my husband's and my hair come out looking amazing, Irene was incredibly nice, friendly, and patient. We had no idea what we wanted to get done and she really took the time to go over all the options that would look nice and helped us decide. Seven months ago, I moved to Santa Monica, and like anyone relocating, I worried about finding a new barber who could do as good of a job as my previous one. My old barber knew exactly how to shape my hair, so I was nervous about finding someone who could do the same.
After searching online and reading the 5* reviews for The Barber’s Cut, I decided to give it a shot and booked an appointment with Yamell. He did a solid job. In fact, he may have cut my hair better than my previous barber.
I highly recommend this barbershop and will definitely be a regular customer.

Over the years, I've had a variety of hair stylists, often expensive, cut my hair. I had never been completely happy with the cut. Don changed all that when I went to him many years ago. I've been going to him ever since. A few years ago, Don moved a block away to his old location. He is at the back room which you'll see when you enter from the rear parking lot. Ask for Don O'Hern.
I've been to plenty of high & low-end places to get my haircut here in LA - Berkeley Barbers is my favorite spot. I'm a man in my mid 30's & typically get a low-fade cut. Edna does a great job! She leaves me clean-cut every time. My partner agrees, says it's the perfect blend of what's on trend but also conservative. They're well priced. Regular customer now, thanks!

I have been going to Ege’s for almost a year now and every time I leave the salon I am blown away with my manicure and pedicure. This is hands down the best salon in LA. I get a consistent manicure every 3 weeks and until I met Quitzia and Kita I tried all the top rated salons from Santa Monica to Beverly Hills even our to Glendale and nothing compare to the work they do here.
Selfishly wanted to keep this place a secret but I just can’t. If you are looking for an amazing mani/pedi and the worlds sweetest people this is your hidden gem.

Bio gel, yes? Bio gel yes! Best manicure ever, yes? SO yes! Briefly, a bank teller's nails were SO beautifully manicured ~ much longer than mine ~ that I had to ask, and she said, "Bio gel!" Those were actually her own nails, and she swore that it was the bio gel that helped her grow them so long and strong. SOoooo, after reading about bio gel and then looking ALL OVER yelp for a place that offered it on the Westside (for some reason, they all seem to be up in the Valley or near DTLA), I found this one place in Santa Monica. AND they could take me on a Sunday afternoon. Who knew from the plain, (very) unpretentious storefront on Lincoln that this is where I'd get the most detailed, personalized, attentive manicure of my life ~ and that includes regular, gel, and powder-dip manis in dozens of different places. The interior of the shop is, I gotta be frank, not quite your average Westside mani-and-martini kind of place. Not even close. But Anh (I hope I'm spelling it right) was the first person ever to take a close look at my nails and notice that they tend to go up a bit at the tips (so THAT's why my polish always wore off quickly at the ends!). So she got to work with the bio gel (and she had lots of colors of both the Bio Sculpture and the Bio Seaweed kinds) and meticulously, painstakingly built up my nails so that they were flat before layering on the color (you can't really tell from the picture, but it's kind of iridescent) and top coat. And all this with such a sweet, upbeat demeanor. Thank goodness it was a Sunday and all I had to do after was some grocery shopping, because the whole thing, including removing the regular gel I had on, took two and a half hours. She did say that she could work faster if I needed her to, but heck, it was Sunday and the groceries could wait a day ~ I was getting the best manicure of my life!

I've been getting my nails done by Lynn for over 15 years, and she is excellent. I would recommend her to anyone and have brought many of my friends to see her. I don't have a specific pedicurist, but I've always been happy with the quality of service. Everyone at Zumani is good to me, which was a big change from some of the other places I tried. They have a private waxing room in the back, which is great. Definitely check them out!

Beadahs is a lovely neighborhood bead shop! I came in here recently to get some crystal bead bracelets shortened and they were friendly and did an absolutely great job achieving the right size for my bracelets. They were able to do the adjustment on the spot and there's tons of beautiful items to browse while waiting, including jewelry, beads, pendants and crystals. I'm definitely curious to come back and possibly pick some beads and make some of my own jewelry next time!! Prices were great as well, and there's a cute little coffee shop next door if you want to make a fun little outing!

I have been going to Noir Lash Lounge for over 4 years in Santa Monica (and also went to the Seattle location for 2 years). Kelsey is the absolute best, and my lashes come out to perfection! They do both classic and volume sets, and are always done with detail and care to perfection! I get compliments on them everywhere I go for how gorgeous and natural looking they look! The interior of the lounge is also so aesthetic and makes the experience so enjoyable. This is the only lash lounge to go to!

Here I am again at SkinGuru spa getting a Japanese scalp massage and I am in absolute heaven. Michelle is truly a gem and really knows what she's doing when it comes to these services. I have never been to someone who is more professional and knowledgeable about her craft and really makes you feel at ease and peace when you're getting your treatment done. She even goes through the process with you and even shows you camera that shows the picture of your scalp and its health. Jiyoung is an incredible lash artist. Her attention to detail and passion for what she does shows in every set. As an actress it’s important to me to have very natural looking lashes that enhance my eyes without looking like I have extensions. I’ve had a very hard time finding lash techs in LA that specialize in realistic looking lashes. Jiyoung understands the assignment and she ALWAYS nails it. Every time I’m on set I get so many complements on how natural my lashes look from the makeup artists.

I needed a whole new drain pipe for a sink that probably hadn’t been updated since 1952 when my house was originally built. JMS was able to come diagnose the pieces that needed replacing, order the parts and come back out the next day. My plumber, Orlando, went above and beyond, clearing gunk build up in non replaced pieces. He also was super friendly, and allowed my dogs to be in the house during the work. It’s always nice when my dogs are able to watch ;)
Pacific Coast Plumbing Co. is an amazing company. I had them out to service my gas line for my fireplace. They were able to come out at a convenient time, and able to fix the issue right away. Their technicians were very considerate and knowledgeable. And very polite. Pricing for work was fair for the work at hand. Jerry Botham has been our trusted plumber for nearly 20 years now. We have a very fussy, 1928 Spanish house on a hillside. Our plumbing has always been tricky. But, Jerry really can do it all and he does every job with very clear communication, attention to detail and a high level of expertise. He has done everything from replace and repair major components to small things like snaking the drains. Once, when we discovered a leak at the street, he came out right away and could have just fixed it and charged us but instead he told us that he thought the city was actually responsible. He explained everything in detail to me and told me what to say to the city to get them to fix it at their cost, which they eventually did. He is very trustworthy and always does the job the right way. He is also on time and returns calls quickly. I can't say enough good things about this guy!

Intuitively, also, I just felt like I could trust him, whereas as with some of the other electricians, I felt like I was being price gouged (and for things the project didn't require).

Uli, Romero and company did excellent work on our recent ADU, plus house extension/remodeling, about 700 sf in all. Their bid was reasonable, and their work was mostly excellent, plus they responded to special requests without question (such as moving a wall that was already framed, for example). Romero, especially, was fantastic. They also followed up on items after construction, worked through the pandemic (which struck in the middle of our project), and finished in a timely manner. A strength of Bayview is doing much of the work themselves, so they do demolition, foundation work, framing, painting, etc. not everything, but a lot, and that speeds up the process. There were change orders of course, many generated by LADBS (one rather pricey a sewer line change), and a few others, all reasonable and within our expected budget. An area of weakness is outdoors: we had a lot of DG, and though they worked with it, we had to redo with an experienced landscape person. Likewise, when we had our deck put in, a recalcitrant tree kept growing up underneath. We eventually hired a tree-removal specialist, at some expense, to get rid of the tree roots. (Wish we had done this to start.) in spite of those issues, the overall experience was quite good. We recommend Bayview, and especially Romero, vey highly.

I just had a crown and I was quite nervous as it's been awhile since I've had anything other than teeth-cleaning done. Not to worry. Painless, easy, and done!!! I was suffering from SI pain, Sacroilliac joint pain, that radiated into my right hip and butt muscles. It started years ago and would subside and reemerge regularly. It was so bad in the past coupe of years that periodically I resorted to using trekking sticks to remain mobile. I started wearing an SI "belt" in the past year which helped some but I was still having pain during physical activity. I decided that since my orthopedist couldn't help me and physical therapy provided limited success I'd see a chiropractor. I have seen chiropractors off an on since the '70s so chiropractics wasn't new to me. I searched Yelp and decided I'd start with Dr. Mitchell and if I didn't get results I'd try another chiropractor. Because I'm in my seventies, I have a COMPLEX medical/health history. First thing I liked about Dr. Mitchell is that before he came into the room he took sufficient time to read my health history. Now some of that history is directly linked to my SI joint pain but multiple myeloma cancer, chronic kidney disease, etc. are just other things I deal with. But I wanted my mobility back, free from pain and that's why I was switching to a chiropractor. Dr. Mitchell is trained in numerous chiropractic modalities and uses different ones depending on what my SI joint needs that day. I'm HAPPY to say, I'm attending my senior aerobics classes again three times a week! I'm wearing my SI belt infrequently and after each chiropractic visit I can feel the subtle changes in my posture, balance and alignment. It's subtle and one of the ways I notice it I can feel different muscles engaging to maintain the new alignment. Be aware, he actually works Tuesday and Thursdays, not M,W,F as listed here on Yelp. After my first session I walked out of there a new person. I had to go on a 30 minute walk to enjoy how my body felt before I got in the car to drive home. My hips and pelvis felt aligned and open. I could activate my glutes again through the gait cycle. And there was no cracking or agressive movements. He was releasing tightness in areas like the iliacus, hip flexors, and feet where other therapists have never been able to before. All my lower back and hip pain have been resolved, and he even provided me a great resource for foundation training to do on my own to maintain things. Trust me I've seen many PTs and massage therapists in my lifetime, and Dr. Charlie stands out from them all.

Dr. Hogan is amazing! He has helped me recover from multiple injuries in the last five years, including: frozen shoulder, a bad back, a small meniscus tear, runner's foot and a pulled hip flexor. I was always afraid see a chiropractor before I met Dr. Hogan and now I'd take him over a 90 min massage any day! The difference between him and other doctor's that I've seen over the years is his passion for educating his patients and getting to the root cause of the pain. I love Dr. Hogan's holistic approach of fixing the problem and not just treating the symptoms. I recommend him to every one!

I felt compelled to write a review because I was so impressed with my experience at Dermatology Institute of Southern California. I am a clinician myself, I never mentioned this during consults because I want to receive the full patient experience. I called to book my skin care check and was so pleasantly surprised by how smooth and seamless the process was. I spoke to a woman named Lindsay. She was so kind and informative. She talked me through what to expect the day of, discussed the directions to the office, parking and how the consult was going to be conducted. I was booked with Jackie, one of the PA's in the office. Upon arriving, I was greeted by a very friendly girl at the front that reviewed my forms with me and gathered my health insurance card. The office ambiance was gorgeous! Jackie made me feel so comfortable and at ease . She has a very warm bedside manner. I expressed concerns over my family history of melanoma, Basal cell and squamous. Also, I (shamefully) admittedly have a history of sun exposure since childhood. She did not shame me, instead confirmed I was in the right place and in capable hands to do a thorough evaluation. She was extremely thorough during my evaluation. She checked every inch of skin, really focusing on my areas of concern. She was also very courteous when evaluating breast and private areas to cover quickly after. I appreciated her respecting my modesty. She found two areas that she communicated she wanted to keep an eye on. She explained the biopsy process and how she would only shave the necessary skin cells, nothing excessive, as to keep in mind the aesthetic of the skin. She explained that breast tissue heals differently, so she was as conservative as she could be when taking skin sample. She thoroughly and clearly explained how to take care of biopsy sites and when to expect biopsy results back. She recommended follow up every 6 months due to my sun exposure and family history. I was so impressed with her bedside manner. I felt so comfortable and heard as a patient. Thank you Lindsay, Jackie and the team at Dermatology of Southern California.

The space is bright and clean and comfortable. (That's also a big difference from the other studio I experienced, which was dark.) The space feels like a retreat, almost meditative. And there are cubbies to store your things while you get your Pilates on.
World class studio,world class instructor! Marie Soule just led me through the most wonderful private lesson; I absolutely loved it. Her teaching was dynamic, engaging, and tailored to my individual needs and ability. Her expertise and guidance left me feeling strong, stretched and aligned. I couldn’t recommend her and Phoenix Pilates more!

Carlos, the owner, is kind and friendly as can be. The studio has a comfortable, healing, family atmosphere. Carlos arranged with me to work with Ashley on severe and chronic back pain. Ashley is just wonderful. Very inquisitive about how your body and spirit are feeling, and very nurturing in response (unless you want to go hardcore, she can push hard, too, it's just not what I needed at first!). She's great about explaining movements you don't get and cueing the activation of muscles you do need and the release of the ones you don't. Plus she's just all around sunshine! Core. Response has been an absolute gift to my recovery and growth.
I had HORRIBLE sciatic pain (could barely walk), after a few sessions with Craig I feel fantasticccc and able to workout again. Craig LISTENS and doesn't just jump to an immediate eval. As well, I use tips from his program The Office Effect. Run or crawl to Z Line Fitness, your body will thank you!
I have been doing Pilates with Jolette for the past 7+ years. She has a passion for Pilates and sessions with her are both rigorous and fun. She is an excellent, meticulous teacher. My strength, posture, flexibility and balance have significantly improved since I began working with her. Group lessons are fine for an introduction to Pilates but if you really want to learn Pilates, with detailed one-on-one instruction, I strongly recommend you get started with Jolette.
Liz is incredibly skilled. I came in with a stiff neck and I am able to move it again. It is a very special skill to be able to tell someone's body so well and what it needs I will definitely return for a longer full body massage. Thank you Liz.
Jenylyn at The Gift Spa is seriously the absolute BEST! I've been to her twice and was blown away by the results each time. I had never tried a harisienne facial before, but once I did I was so impressed by the results. My face looked completely snatched, lifted, hydrated, and glowing! Her body scrub and lymphatic drainage massage is also amazing. I would recommend Jenylyn to anyone and everyone!
I recently found Christina and I am so grateful I did! We started with a massage and then moved into a guided grounding exercise that I found very helpful for anxiety. Sophia is a true healer. I've been searching high and low to find someone like her, literally across state lines and finally here she is, in my current neck of the woods. When I arrived, she ushered me back like a fairy leading me to their secret garden. We entered a whimsical patio and then the massage room where years of built up tension was released. And it didn't end there - she recommended food, drinks, readings, and exercises to keep the healing process going after I left. I'm looking forward to the next massage already! There is no substitute. She works from Intuition and it’s a true mind, body, and soul experience. Just relax and close your eyes and when it’s over your world will feel slower, calmer, clearer. Pure clarity. Sometimes I need to sit in my car in total silence for a few minutes to come out of the spell.And yes, there is a shower you can use before the massage; get ready to slip into another world.
I have a very complicated body to work on after 13 orthopedic surgeries, including 4 neck and 4 back. Finding someone that can actually do therapeutic body work on me is VERY rare, so I was thrilled to find Tracy! She is incredibly intuitive and just by using her hands she understands where to pinpoint in order to give the most relief. I always leave feeling open and unrestricted in my movement and relaxed. An added plus is that Tracy's place is really clean and relaxing and she has the most beautiful white cat!

I have done many types of body work over the years, and had never even heard of this technique until earlier this year. It is sophisticated, detailed and the healing is profound. Gadi Kaufman is extremely knowledgable about the nervous system, the body, and the physics that make it operate. After breaking my foot, two years later, the pain would not subside while walking, despite continuous physical therapy and other modalities of treatment. A friend recommended Gadi, who explained the nervous system - something no one has ever done. And after just one session, I suddenly felt my feet firmly planted on the ground with my hips balanced....I also felt a huge relief from the pain. He taught me how to do exercises that have helped immensely. But after bring out of town for a few months, the pain had returned. I went back to Gadi. To my absolute surprise, after one sessions, I woke up the next morning with absolutely no pain in my foot -- for the first time in over 2 years! I couldn't believe it. I'd say Gadi is a miracle worker, which may be true, but he has said again and again, that the effect of the daily exercises are accumulative. And while everyone else has focused on my foot, he addressed the entire nervous system and re-balancing of my hips and legs. It does feel like a miracle. THANK YOU!!
After a night out with some friends, I decided to check this place out since I've been hurting for a few days now. Definitely WASN'T a disappointment. Jessica was my massage therapist. I asked her to go hard on my back muscles since they've been sore. She went above and beyond when it came out to massaging my sore muscles. Definitely walked out relaxed and stressed free. Thank you

I have been coming to Thai Yoga Massage Santa Monica off and on for years and the price and quality does not compare to others. Professional, clean, good hospitality, quality and price. I have been to Korean Spas, Swedish spas, Burke Williams, Simply Massage and marina massage but I always find myself coming back to this place.
I am a regular at The Loop, I have never been disappointed with a massage there. I recommend the 90 minute massage because it takes the brain 10 to 20 minutes to shut down and truly relaxed. Anna is my favorite massage therapist, with Bill coming in a close second. This staff is wonderful and welcoming. It is my friends and my favorite place to go together after a long week. I can't recommend it enough, and the prices are fantastic.
My first time here. I talked to Sarah over the phone to set my appointment, she was polite and quite helpful. Patty was who did my massage (deep tissue). Im very familiar with deep tissue massages, she was doing a great job working on a lot of tight knots.
I like this place. Typical Thai massage. The best part is there is parking and they are open to 10pm. I almost always get a good massage for a reasonable price

I came to Elevate after a major skiing accident with multiple complicated fractures in my leg. The care and incredible therapy I have received and worked on over the last year with Dr Kyle and the other therapists at Elevate have been incredibly life saving to me. The care is personalized. One on one with your Doctor of PT. My recovery would never have come along this far after a year without the professionalism and incredible therapy- which required hard work- without Elevate. I am a former marathon runner and athlete so it was very important to me to work hard with the best after a freak ski accident. Elevate has been a major factor in my recovery and I am so thankful for their amazing positive support and pushing me to get back to the best I can be.

Dr. Rebecca Pedras is worth 8 STARS! More than the intelligent thoughtful care she brings to her work, Rebecca uses her imagination and compassion to motivate clients. Early on Rebecca wanted me to do something that I had never done in my long life. Impossible, I told her. Eight months later that movement is part of my way of life. And, I am walking with barely a memory of the broken bone, surgery and trauma that followed. Fortunately the owners of Matrix realize the woman's talents. She brings a unique spirit to the floor; To the others working there. MATRIX is a great PT clinic. A big plus for everyone with medicare: They take that insurance.
Dr. Kim is the best acupuncturist that I have been to. I have tried several acupuncturists in the past and I have noticed more lasting results with Dr. Kim. I have been going to him for the past 2 Years for IBS and facial/cosmetics and getting great results!
This was my first time experiencing many of these therapies, including cupping, ozone therapy and needling. All treatments have been excellent. I had tried acupuncture in the past but never in such a professional, comfortable and relaxing environment. I could rave on about the fantastic services offered at Luna Body and Mind, but truly the differentiator is the personal care and attention given by Lola. I haven't been here for years. I moved to Orange County a few years ago. Lately, I have been experiencing pain in my right knee and calf. I have visited orthopedic specialists and undergone physical therapy, but the results have been minimal. I decided to come back here because of how I quickly recovered from another injury incurred years ago. Dr. Zhong is AMAZING! After a few visits, I can perform body squats for the first time in a long time! So I'll repeat it. Dr. Zhong is AMAZING. Trust in the process and give her your time. You will love the benefits!!!

I was recommend to Dr Shannon by a friend when I became extremely ill. When I first began treatment with her I was underweight and unable to gain any weight. I was also struggling with Menopause and thyroid issues. I was pressured into getting HRT pellets every 4 months and taking prescription drugs by western Doctors. None of these worked. After receiving treatments for 8 months from Dr Shannon I no longer take synthetic prescription drugs for menopause, or my thyroid. I have gained weight and muscle mass.
