“Sadly the pandemic closed down my long time hot yoga/Pilates studio. Not being the self-motivated type, I went from hardcore hot Pilates four times a week to NOTHING. As my body got visibly out of shape, I got depressed and couldn't muster enough motivation to change. Beginning of this year, after reaching my very peak weight (and lowest level of physical strength), I finally came to the realization that I have to do something about the situation. I tried a few studios and Rebel Rise hit all the marks for what I was looking for:1) Ease of commute and parking: The studio is located in Franklin Square, a small, quiet plaza in Santa Clara "downtown". It's easy to drive to and there are plenty of parking at the lot across the street.2) Small business: I truly appreciate a non-corporate/chain studio, without the the obnoxious headsets and/or take-themselves too seriously attitudes. The studio is well-rounded and down to earth. 3) Clean and orderly: This is a super clean facility. Owner Jenn provides plenty of heavenly smelling tea tree oil sanitizing sprays and wipes for students to wipe down mats, equipments, and blocks after use. For strength training classes, disinfectant wipes are used to wipe down weights and mats as students switch from one station to the next. The equipments are well-organized and varied. There are also mats you can borrow for the class if you forget yours. There's no shower but there is a changing room, as well as a water dispenser. Restrooms are shared with the rest plaza and kept very clean.4) Uncrowded classes: People are not jammed packed into a room. Strength training classes are 8 people max to ensure safety and distance while working out. I believe the yoga classes are maxed at 20. As a person who needs personal space/distance even prior to COVID, I very much enjoy not having people's feet right in front of my face while doing yoga. We don't have to park our mats in closely pre-marked spots either; I appreciate the freedom to choose my space.5) Friendly (not the unctuous kind) and supportive environment: Not only do the instructors greet you by name, all the students are welcoming and kind. I was very nervous about attending the first few classes, afraid that I wouldn't be able to keep up. The nerves were completely unnecessary. The longtime students were comforting and sweet, taking the time to learn my name and chitchat. It's not a competitive environment by any means. The classes are easy to adapt for beginners and you are not pressured to do more than what you are comfortable with.6) Variety of classes and schedule: There are 6 AM and 7 AM classes for those are enthusiastic about morning workouts. For people who are more time flexible, there are midday and early afternoon classes. Evening classes start at 5:15 PM and 6:15 PM. FYI, there are more classes offered than the schedule listed on the Rebel Rise website. Use the MINDBODY app to see HIIT classes, workshops, and special events (like free classes at Alo or Vuori). Coming from a hot Pilates background, I do chase a bit of physical difficulty challenge and favor the HIIT and strength classes. Yoga classes are great for stretch and balance practice in between. Due to past yoga related injuries, I appreciate that the yoga classes are not focused on crazy inversions and contortions. I do miss power yoga with a faster and continuous flow sometimes, but then again, HIIT is a decent substitute if you are looking for cardio and body resistance type of workout. About two weeks into the 3x a week one month trial membership, I signed up for unlimited monthly membership. Now two months in, I've gone from a complete couch potato to attending classes up to 5 times a week. It's not only because I enjoy the workouts, I also enjoy seeing my fellow classmates and the instructors. This is such a gem of a studio. I would encourage you to try it out if you are either looking to start or re-start a fitness habit.“

“I recently sought counseling from an Ayurwise to address the overwhelming stress I was experiencing due to the demands of parenting. Anu came highly recommended, and now, having completed the counseling sessions, I am compelled to share my positive experience. From the outset, Anu created a welcoming and serene environment, setting the stage for a transformative journey. Her deep understanding of Ayurvedic principles, coupled with a compassionate and personalized approach, truly stood out. We delved into the root causes of my stress, and through a combination of thoughtful discussions, practical advice, and Ayurvedic practices, I found profound relief. What sets Anu apart is her holistic approach, addressing not only the symptoms but also the underlying imbalances in my mind and body. The sessions were tailored to my specific needs, providing me with practical tools to manage stress and enhance my overall well-being.I am particularly grateful for the emphasis on self-care and mindfulness techniques that have empowered me to prioritize my own needs without guilt. The positive impact on my ability to focus on myself and my family has been remarkable.Thank you Anumeha.“

“I highly recommend Setareh! I went to many specialist doctors with zero success, before seeking Setareh's help. She is incredible at what she does. She is endlessly caring, kind and takes the time to thoroughly listen to your issues. I came to her hopeless and very uncomfortable. I am now healed thanks to her amazing support!“

“What a year passed by - 2022 - First, let me thank Reshma, who is unique and caring for every person joining Rythematic. All the instructors, Megs, Neha, Tripathi and Pari extraordinary in what they do, motivating us to achieve our goals not only in the class, but by constantly pushing us and checking on us every day through WhatsApp and texting.I want to share my Journey with Rythematic. I was always interested in dancing but hesitated. I started looking out for something and found Rythematic through yelp; I reached out to the number and was still determining who would be on the other side. That's when I connect with a super motivating and positive person, Reshma. I suffered from anxiety, depression, Thyroid (medical condition) and, of course, being overweight. Every time I stepped towards getting fit and healthy, I fell back. But this time, it was a miracle. Reshma was constantly in touch with me, though, at that point, she was only doing virtual classes. The day she decided to do it in person, she pinged me, and somehow I managed to attain my first class - on 15th August - what a day ;-) From there, it was no looking back. I not only got addicted to the vibes but found great community and friends ( friends forever). It was a fantastic feeling, and I can never forget my first class after it ( I spent my whole day mainly in the washroom, lol :-) ) as if my body was longing for this kind of detox. Reshma, Megha and Neha made sure that I was consistent. Regardless of what, I was motivated enough to come to class. I was shy and not confident enough, but I knew I was in good hands: so much love and motivation. The next and crucial thing I started bothering Resh was to add another in-person class. She is a sweet soul; she accommodated my request and added another in-person session; last but not least, I wanted to be in every class, so I asked her if I could join her while she was giving virtual class live, but joining her at home. She was like oh yeah, and I did. In 4 months, I lost 12 lbs (of course - all festive season). It helped me come out not only from my shell but also feeling happy, loved and wanted. What I achieved after losing - There are a few things to list downDepression - I was delighted, and my relationships improved. Looking good: I got a lot of compliments as I was taking care of myself, my body - my skin. More stamina -I could work a lot better and focus a lot better. The anxiety went away, and I was happy. I could play Garba(Navratri) and could ski after 8 yrs. I can go on n on about this group, Reshma and all the instructors( they spoil us with all the celebrations and goodies - special chai, omg ). Words are not enough to express my feelings, but I tried my best. We all need love and attention, which I get from this group. I love them for the way they are, and I look forward to going to every class - I call this place - My Happy Place :-) Please join us if you read my post and get motivated by my journey.“

“I would highly recommend trying Sagar hot yoga. I occasionally do yoga to stretch so I am not regular. I was pleasantly surprised when the teacher remembered me and guided me during practice even though I showed up after almost a month. The teachers are pleasant and good guides who want you to get better. The studio is clean and well maintained. I got a chance to meet the owner too who checked in on me.If you're looking for a positive environment, good teachers and a class that will make you sweat, this is it. Good luck.“
