“This school stands unparalleled in its offering. The seasoned tenure of our instructors creates a robust environment crucial for student growth and development. Enhanced by regular visits from KJN Ernie, the school radiates an energy that has been nurtured and preserved over 30 years. Here, the traditions run deep and the sense of association and family is truly incomparable.“
“All pro is the best place for taekwondo for your kiddo. My 2 boys go here. And they loved it. The master is very nice and friendly.“
“Excellent place for children. My son is very motivated. Let's go to the third class. We are Brazilians and we were looking for something similar spread in Brazil so as not to lose the culture. Professor Dylan is excellent.“
“My 10 year old son and I started attending World Martial Arts around 6 months ago. It's been an absolutely amazing experience and I would highly recommend Peter's classes! * Peter's classes have provided an amazing opportunity for me to bond with my son. We attend all classes together with other parents and children, and we are learning together, being challenged together, and growing together. * Peter's classes have helped my son to grow both his physical skills as well as his mental focus, motivation, and confidence. Prior to joining this class, my wife and I struggled to find a sport or class that my son was drawn to or excited about. After just a few classes with Peter, our son shared he loved learning martial arts. Peter's classes developed my son's internal motivation and desire to grow and develop. * Peter has created a safe, respectful, and fun environment. Peter encourages people to do their best and challenge themselves, but encourages each individual to grow at their own pace. He makes sure everyone treats each other with respect. * Peter show tremendous care and really invests in the development of every individual child (and adult!) in his class. I'm always amazed at how much he really looks to understand and support every child and their individual needs and challenges.“
“I've gone to underground MMA for about a year and a half now, so here's the rundown. Costs: First major hurdles that you can encounter when starting mma is costs, as far as here it is the best of both worlds, for both quality and cost. Compared to other gyms this place is extremely cheap and the coaching is phenomenal. All mma gyms are going to be more than your regular weight gym but believe me this place is worth it and more. Training: classes are Monday through Friday evenings with morning classes Tuesday and Saturday. Each class has a bit of instruction with time to spar or drill at the end to hone your skills. Head coach Jannsen is a master of his craft as far as coaching and is always helpful with refining your style. Coach Jon is an exceptional and experienced fighter with professional bouts to boot, he is an incredible sparring partner and always helps you to get better. Coach Lucas is a warrior amongst men and has an amazing style that inspires you to want to get better. Each of them are incredibly kind as well as skilled, and I personally cannot ask for a better set of trainers. Community: for me the atmosphere of a gym is one of the most important factors when deciding a gym. It is incredibly gratifying that shamrock (underground) mma has fostered a community of caring and passionate fighters. All of the people you meet are wonderful and kind that will provide smiles, laughs, and good sparring. Whether you are training for fun, self defense, or to try your luck on the mma road, this gym has everything you need and more. Proud to be underground mma! TLDR: go to this gym trainings great, coaches are great, people are great. Plus it's cheap. First class is free try it out.“
“My son has been doing karate here about two months now and we love it. He's only 4, and it's a great balance of teaching discipline but still having fun. The staff is great. Friendly and welcoming.“
“Great place for all levels of self defense training. Amazingly friendly and professional staff and a great community.“
“We love World Class Tae Kwon Do and my daughter really enjoys the classes. The classes are really well thought of and the level of attention they give to each student is commendable. I see some real improvement in my daughter in terms of focus and decipline.“
“Love the coaching team. The teaching is top notch, kind and helpful.I wish I had this kind of training when I was a kid. There are 3-4 coaches in the gym at each lesson, that is, one coach per 3-4 students.“
“I’ve been training here under Corwin and Chuck since September 2023. I originally came to supplement my BJJ but then fell in love with Judo as its own art form and sport. My initial hesitation with starting Judo was the fear of getting injured as I’ve already got my fair share of chronic injuries through MMA and I’m only getting older.Yet I haven’t been injured a single time here as they put so much emphasis on safety and have dedicated adult classes on Monday & Wednesday which are more focused on technique and set-ups which means you can train at a lighter pace if you’re concerned about injuries. My favorite part of the Monday & Wednesday class is at the end when we get to practice controlled throws on each other on a huge crash pad - it feels like magic when you’re thrown effortlessly through a well-executed judo move and it’s a lot of fun landing on the crash pad too!Of course, they do have more intense classes on Tuesday and Thursday if you want to spar or train alongside active competitors. They have students that are at a world-class level here which humbles me every time I train.“
“Excellent place to train Tae-kwon-do and I understand that good things never come easy. We all need to be patient and dedicate our time to achieve great results“
“If you are looking for a martial arts dojo more like the Mr. Miyagi approach vs the Cobra Kai approach, this place is EXACTLY what you are seeking. Family-run by a husband/wife team and currently 2 of their black belt children (young adults), Exceed puts character-building and instilling a strong base of respect and discipline in their beginners above punching and kicking. They utilize a multi-tier white belt system that graduates through I think 6 levels before they get into the more serious levels of solid colored belts. Sparring is introduced in the last few levels of striped white belt, and competitions representing the dojo can happen in the solid belt levels. Their approach to new students is especially out-of-this-world. As I am typing this, Master Jackson has been sitting on the mat with one first timer and one second timer for the past 5 minutes, chatting them up easily and helping them find the courage to join the group. They have both joined in at this point and all I can see is smiles and exhilaration. These kids feel safe, supported, and challenged appropriately. I am incredibly grateful that my family stumbled across this dojo and I look forward to seeing them 3 times a week for years to come.“
“My daughter Charlotte has been attending Taekwondo since March this year. We moved from another studio and I have to say what a huge difference I saw in her technique and forms since then - this was definitely the best decision we made. Master Pak makes sure every kid learns all their forms, kicks, combos and are perfect in each before moving them along. Charlie loves the classes so much, she doesn't want to miss a single day and what's great is that the class is offered 6 days a week. Master Pak and his assistant Brandon are just incredible and work tirelessly to provide a fun, energetic and engaging environment so the kids not only learn the way of Tae Kwon Do but also have fun at the same time. For me, the most important was that Charlotte was learning self defense skills and strength, building up her confidence, learning respect and many other life skills that make her a better human being. I highly recommend this studio for Taekwondo and encourage parents to have their kids take the trial class.“
“Great teachers and excellent mats.Tuition is very affordable and the mix of views in the art makes this a great dojo to study Aikido.Nadeau Sensei is back on the mats on Tuesday at this location. Amazing training.New classes added and new students can get free uniform and no registration fee.“
“Both of our kids were here for 10 months now. It's been an excellent experience! One of my kid has a learning difference and the master has been taking extra care for him.“
“Fantastic instructors make this a great youth karate program. They instruct with kindness and their enthusiasm is contagious. Various levels of classes helped to find the perfect placement for my child. Older kids learn leadership and mentor the younger students creating a team environment that is both close-knit and extremely welcoming.“
“We have thoroughly enjoyed the experience my son has had here. Mr. RM is helpful and is great with all the kids. At Vision they strive not on success but more on growth and how to achieve success through discipline. I love the fact that the students are evaluated on how they perform at school, at home and at Vision. I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!“
“My kids have been with Vision Martial Arts for the last 5-6 years and I'm blown away by how much they have leaned and grown from it! The instructors are amazing and truly embody the spirit and discipline of martial arts. Their foremost mission is to help the students develop both physical and mental strength and learn what it means to be successful. My only wish is they would do more leadership seminars, etc like they used to before the pandemic.“
“Under the late Sifu Paul Eng, the Tai Mantis Kung-Fu Association formed the basis for my martial arts training beginning back in 1973, when I was 15 years old. Now at 64, the techniques and training in Northern Shaolin Praying Mantis still serves me well, and likely always will. I highly recommend this school.“
“Patrick is great! My son likes his class and keeps improving. He will continue to learn here.“
“West Coast Martial Arts is amazing it was my first day tody and I'm looking forward to going again“
“I moved away from the valley, and after searching-checking to continue practice, I just realized how good the dojo is. All the previous comments have said it all, "this is honestly as good as it gets", ..... It's a non-commercial true shotokan karate practice in a large ballroom gym with many competent, tolerant, kind and considerate high level sensei's (all volunteer) for everyone (kid $20/mo.) If you stumble to this website and live close enough to Sunnyvale and thinking about starting discipline training of any kind, check this out, Tues 7pm, Sat-10am, you will not regret. Almost forgot, it's fun and family feeling too. OSS to all Sensei's.“
“I took Aikido when I was 50 and not that fit. They were great! Very encouraging and I learned a lot. Most useful was knowing how to fall. Now that I'm 71 I am thankful I have that skill!“
“Fantastic instructor! So much energy and passion in every drill. Amazing how sensei provides guidance to all his students, even beginners. Great experience and highly recommend!“
“Los Gatos is truly fortunate to have such an outstanding Karate Studio. The encouragement that I receive from both the instructors and fellow students is amazing. I was very apprehensive to take on such an endeavor as a 50+ female and was concerned that I would embarrass myself. After only 3 1/2 short months, I feel like I have a second family and look forward with to each class. I'm constantly challenged, but never discouraged. I've never worked so hard, but felt so rewarded. My confidence is growing at a staggering rate. Sensei Arioto's knowledge and expertise are easily recognizable. His years of experience and teaching have allowed him to develop strong instructional skills that bring out the best in his students and instructors. Basically, it comes down to he knows what works and builds on that. He is equally comfortable with the young kids and the adults.“
“Sensei Wayne Krill is awesome! He is so well-versed that just by watching your moves for few sessions he can infer specific body types and hence problems you might encounter while mastering various techniques. He comes with a clear agenda everyday and pushes everyone (according to their body types) in a way that doesn't feel overwhelming.I highly recommend this class if you are interested in learning Karate the traditional way.“
