“Very kind and understanding personnel that guide one through the most emotional and heartbreaking time of your life.“
“Losing a loved one is never easy. It’s a bit more complicated when you’re new to the area and you find out things are done differently. However, the people over at Greer Mortuary really worked with us and made a bad situation a good one. I truly appreciate everything Greer Mortuary did for me. I would 1000% refer people to them.“
“Chapel of the Roses was attention to our needs and addressed all matters satisfactorily. Dennis was considerate and offered good and kind advice. Chapel of the Roses did what we asked of them and did not attempt to presuade us to change our plans, provide add-ons.“
“We had our Uncle's memorial today at Alameda Funeral Home. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. They even gave me a free bottle of wine. I appreciate their support and kindness.“
“This review took me some time because I wanted to give authentic wording for this review. My grandmother's funeral was in April and I realize there are no words great enough to describe Mr. Paul's kind demeanor. The colonial family made a sad occasion joyful by keeping everything professional and showing empathy and sympathy. My grandmother's funeral was such a celebration that family members and friends are still reaching out to me about how modest she looked even during expiration. Again I need to highlight that Paul is such a professional he knows people and he understands what the hardship of burial can be like, he's truly not in this business for money and he truly cares about the people. He made this day so joyful and stress-free, I would recommend this funeral to any and everyone.“
“Having lost a loved one and also having to take care of business and make arrangements takes a lot out of you. But I have to say how comfortable and smooth it was working with Jeanine. She was so patient and understanding, and super empathetic, really sweet. From the beginning, she explained how everything worked and what would be happening step by step with all possible options. The day of the services the additional staff was super helpful and welcoming as well. I feel bad forgetting his name, but I believe the gentleman was Joel, was really helpful with putting up our frame and some plants we had brought. He also helped coordinate the pallbearers and offered gloves for them. You guys are great, thank you for being available with excellent service at the toughest times of need.“
“Elijah's Service was beautiful. I could not attend in person, having the streaming service was invaluable.“
“We were extremely happy with the service we received from McNary Williams Jackson and especially Lenwood Lewis. He guided us in every direction and given that our loved one passed far away from home and we had no idea of how to handle the situation, he made it as seamless as could be. Thank you so much for your assistance during our time of grief.“
“Bruce (Robert) Cleveland at the San Leandro Mortuary is exceptional. Kind, caring and professional. I felt completely supported by him and the San Leandro Mortuary team.“
“We had an excellent experience with Art Monument Company. A special thanks to Andrew. He was approachable, informative, and offered a variety of options to choose from. We were on a tight timeline to have the stone completed for my brother's 1 year anniversary, and Andrew made sure everything was completed within the 2 months. The entire process was seamless and stress-free.
In the design process, Andrew consistently incorporated our feedback and delivered exactly what we wanted. The final stone exceeded our expectations--it was beautifully crafted with great attention to detail. The prices were reasonable, and we are very happy with the outcome. We highly recommend Art Monument Company to anyone in need of their services.“
“Wilson & Kratzer were extremely helpful during such a difficult time. My daughter, son and I needed their support, help and guidance when my husband unexpectedly passed away. They were so patient and kind during the process. I would highly recommend them.“
“The last several weeks have been quite difficult due to the loss of my husband. So much to deal with and so much paperwork, but because of the wonderful and caring help that Tom of Sorensen's Mortuary in Hayward gave me, I need to write a commendation for him. Tom is so knowledgable, patient, thoughtful, and gives excellent direction and advice. He listened to what I needed, and if he had important information to add, he did with great care. The outcome was that the arrangements could not have been better or more easy for me. Tom was truly outstanding in every respect, and by being so thorough and dedicated, he was quite a big help in getting through the sorrowful days. I could not have asked for a better person than Tom, and I am grateful to him for all he did and how he conducted himself throughout. My thanks to a very special man.“
“I am pleased with the way this Black Family Owned Business has been dealing with myself and my family amidst all the grief.“
“sad. and more sad. but at least he's in a beautiful place til God come and picks him up. right??they really did a beautiful job on his ceremony. with the challenge of corona virus. I'd say that they really came through.isn't cheap. but it was worth the price 100%“
“I recently lost my mother, and during this difficult time, the Neptune Society of Northern California provided exceptional services that greatly eased the burden on our family. From the moment we contacted them, their professionalism and compassion were evident. Korey, our Funeral Arranger, was outstanding. He guided us through the entire process with sensitivity and respect, ensuring that every detail was handled flawlessly. The transport of my mother from the hospital to the cremation site was smooth and dignified, and we felt assured that she was in good hands throughout. The Neptune Society also facilitated a beautiful sea scattering ceremony, honoring my mother's wishes perfectly. Additionally, they took care of obtaining the death certificate from the county and promptly delivered it to us, which was a significant relief during such a stressful time. Their thoughtful approach and attention to detail made the experience both memorable and comforting. I am deeply grateful to Korey and the entire Neptune Society team for their support and excellent service during such a challenging period. I highly recommend their services to anyone in need of compassionate and professional end-of-life arrangements. Thank you, Neptune Society, for helping us celebrate my mother's life in such a meaningful way.“
“Jay was extremely professional and helpful during a difficult time for our family. We used Deer Creek for my mom when she passed away in 2014, and the upmost care she received from Deer Creek staff was appreciated. My father wanted nobody else to handle his body when he recently passed. With COVID protocols, Jay came to our home to complete the paperwork and walked us through the entire process despite us already going through it back in 2014, so we appreciated the clear communication. Jay was present for our father’s services and made sure everything went according to plan. Thank you Jay and thank you Deer Creek staff.“
“My wife recently passed away, unexpectedly. Santos and Robinson has been her family's "historic" funeral home in San Leandro. The staff, especially but not only Lupita, were professional, easy-to-work with and kind. Everything is difficult and challenging during the preparation for a funeral. To plan and carry out the funeral of one's wife - my beloved of 30 years - was not easy. But Lupita and the staff at Santos and Robinson made it as easy as possible, and the vigil hosted at the home was beautiful and meaningful. Highly recommended.“
“The service here at Cooper Chapel was amazing. Through this whole process of my father's funeral, Rueben was very sympathetic, helpful and friendly. He was thorough with how everything worked and prompt on timing of everything. Through this hard time Rueben definitely helped make this process smooth. Thank you Rueben!“
“Both of my parents were cremated in Oakland 12 years apart and we had no problem. All went smoothly and they were great with information and quickly picked up their bodies. They made a difficult time go smoothly.“
“The work that they do is GREAT quality and BEAUTIFUL. The only thing was the communication, I understand they have a lot of orders and things come up but I felt they weren't always good communicators.“
“My family and I worked with Ms. Pam. She was amazing. She is very personable and made us feel lat ease when making choices for our beloved. She provided details that helped us along the way and made what is a difficult time in our lives a little easier. I cannot express enough how much we appreciate her and the CP Bannon team. Thank you so much!“
“Looking for a final resting home for our parents is the last thing anyone looks forward to doing. When that time came for our family, we had the pleasure working with Jenny. She is so kind and helpful, and made the process as easy as it could have been. I just want to thank Jenny and her team on how she made a difficult time a little more easier. Thanks, from the bottom of my heart.“
“San Lorenzo Pioneer Cemetery is viewable on a driveby on Hesperian Blvd., a very busy street. i was surprised to see a cemetery here. it's been a long time judging by the dullness of the monuments, granites. i never see any activity. there's little green grass visible within the perimeters. the cemetery is closed seemingly at all hours. parking isn't readily available if one wants to visit. i have no interest to do so. one can see within by standing on the perimeter. there is a sign posted that the cemetery will be renovated. the sign is a few years old.“
